Nice production of Into the Woods. I wish the sound system was such that you could understand the words.

The Muny - Beautiful sunset at The Muny!

The Muny is truly a treasure! This is the first year in awhile I've been to multiple productions…read more Come from Away and Frozen were stellar! The staff at the Muny are always so friendly, and I find the tickets reasonably priced. Their box office has good hours, so you can avoid the online fees if you want. When I saw Come From Away, there was a rain delay, and their stage crew worked SO HARD to get the show back up and running. My friend and I were in awe. I wish I could give it 5 stars, and it is a bit of a me problem, but I cannot fit into the free seats. I haven't been able to fit into the free seats since I was a child. My plus sized friends also have troubles. I am 6"5', and my thighs are like 3 inches too long to sit without bodily contortion and bruises. I made it work, because I won the lottery for Jon Batiste and Diana Ross, but ouch. I'd love to see some modifications made eventually to make them more accessible!

I have made friends with other people in the line, and the time passes by quickly. Things to note for the free seats: The earlier you get there, the easier time you'll have finding parking. The Upper and Lower lots are good places to start looking. There is a sandwich board posted with what can be brought in (ex. no aluminum cans, weapons, etc) The gates that let you on the grounds to wait for your seat open at 6 pm. The gates that lead to the actual seats open at 7 pm. The show starts at 8:15, barring any weather delays or technical difficulties. A night at the Muny is so much fun, whether you're in the free seats or paid!

Since it was Saturday night, there were quite a good numbers of attendees. The portion of the play that i saw was great.if you want to go here, I recommend lots of bug sprays due to Mosquitoes. It was also hot too so is hard to dress to stay cool and not get bitten by bugs.

It really helped that we went on such a great night when the weather was nice. We went to see Much Ado About Nothing. I am unfamiliar with the story line (insert ashamed ex-English teacher face here lol) and looked it up before going. This helped a lot with my comprehension of the plot line, as they speak in Early Modern English. It's easy to miss things! We sat behind the chair area/ boxes on a blanket. This area is free to sit in, and I'm blown away that was have something so wonderful in our city that costs nothing to attend. Our view was great and we were able to bring drinks and snacks (always makes for a good time). Steves Hot Dogs was available for purchase, and there was a bar to purchase drinks at! I loved my first experience and am really looking forward to going again when there is another production. Keep in mind: getting there early is a good idea, as parking can be tough! *think zoo parking*

Doing improv has improved my life exponentially and I KNOW I'm a better person for it. You learn how to genuinely connect and listen to other people and I feel that is an art that has been lost since the pandemic. Go also to just see a show. You won't regret it.

First up: parking is plentiful and feels safe and secure. We arrived about 25 minutes before showtime and had a drink at the bar. They have a solid cocktail menu and full bar with plenty of local craft beer on tap. The kitchen closed when we visited. The bartender said it's undergoing a transition and will reopen in a week or two. Staff is friendly and welcoming. In the theatre are cabaret-style small tables and high-tops in back. Table service is discreet and unobtrusive; just tap the little light on the table and a server will come right over. I won't review the content of the show (though it was great !) because performers and troupes change regularly. This is long-form improv and the audience is invited to give suggestions a couple times a night, but no one is put on the spot or spoken to (or about) directly. The show we attended was PG-13ish in content; i'd advise checking notes on a particular performance before bringing children.
