My family booked their hall for a party. You are able to bring in food /caterer. The kitchen area is in need of a thorough DEEP DEEP CLEAN. There were fruit flies all over the place, so you couldn't keep food uncovered as they kept getting in the food. The bathrooms didn't have toilet paper on the dispensers, the rolls were just sitting on top of the toilet. There were no paper towels in the kitchen area or in the bathroom. It's been a long while since I organized a large party. This time I want a DJ and a dance instructor for my event. A friend recommended Charles Stokley with U Can Dance. "He's legit," she said. I also wanted to dance a segment from a favorite movie, Saturday Night Fever. Charles and I spent 8+ Wednesdays learning the choreography. But, oh, was it a wonderful treat for my guests, who swooned and awed over the "performance!" My family and friends talked about that party endlessly. They said it was perfect. As a new dancer that never had any experience I was nervous before going to U Can Dance in Jan 2018 but all my fears where put to rest. This studio surpassed my expectations and treats everyone like a family. This is really an amazing dance studio! The instructors are wonderful teachers! They are patient, kind, encouraging and really gifted at tailoring the instruction to the needs of the student. Both the private lessons and group classes are great. As a New York transplant to the St. Louis area, I was looking for a place to take private salsa lessons to continue to refine my skills, and U Can Dance exceeded my wildest expectations! My first instructor here was Deepika, whose outgoing personality, positive attitude, and commitment to technique, made the process of improving my salsa social dancing skills almost as much fun as going out itself! She was also always willing to accommodate my busy schedule. I'd highly recommend her to anyone interested in private lessons. After several months of lessons, I started going to the very reasonably priced group classes on Wednesday nights ($5 per hour, $10 for two hours). My experience with the group class was equally exceptional. Not only was I exposed to a whole host of fun new dances (Cha-Cha, Samba, Nightclub 2 step, Rumba, and Swing), but I also joined a wonderful and loving dance community. I found this place online to treat my girlfriend and i to some lessons because she always wanted to try dance lessons. This place is a diamond in the rough! You wouldn't suspect the level of class inside this tucked away facility but i assure you, the people there are fanatastic, fun and easy-going and the classes are cheap($10/person per class) and range from easy/ beginner to nationwide competitions. My fiance and I had our first dance lesson at U can dance last week with Rosemary. I was thinking of taking a few more lessons there to prepare for our big day, but I have decided to cancel all the appointments. We do not feel comfortable taking lessons with Rosemary at all I. It was our first lesson and she did not have any patience to work with us. It seemed like she was yelling at us for not knowing our steps. This was our first day and I am not sure what she was expecting from us. We would not have been there if we knew our steps. We paid for a dance lesson, not to embarrass ourselves for not knowing how to dance. I am not sure about the other instructors there, but I would never ever refer Rosemary to anyone. read more
