We've done both the parent/child class and the independent classes, where the children are broken up into groups of 4-5 and rotate between stations. Open gym is also amazing. There are typically two open gyms per week with differing hours. Free for children who are currently attending class, otherwise a nominal fee. Each open house is 1 hour long. The gym is easy to contact between email, Facebook messenger, and phone calls. I have had nothing but great interactions with Miss Kelly and all her staff - especially Jen! Our dance was simple, but included several distinct parts and included plenty of twirls. The only reason I gave this place four stars was that we had four teachers between our six lessons, ending with the owner of the studio. They left notes for each other, but the handoff each time was not ideal. We ended up coming in for several additional practice sessions during the week before the wedding. The ballroom is very flexible with scheduling and rescheduling (given 24 hours notice). Between our formal lessons and our two practice sessions we did the dance perfectly! It was a huge surprise to our wedding guests. I received compliments all night on how pretty my dress was when twirling during the first dance. A few tips to wedding dance people: -Say yes to the wine they offer -Bring a few songs to choose from for the first dance -Stay hydrated and don't come hungry! -If possible, wear the shoes you'll wear on the wedding day to regular practice -Find out the dimensions of the dance floor of your reception location so you can practice within those confines from the start -Stay 5-10 minutes after the lesson to go over the parts you are unsure of.
