A new dentist cycles through this practice at least once a year, and the latest one seems to be incentivized to recommend unnecessary dental procedures. I was informed I needed crowns, fillings replaced, upper and lower deep cleaning, and that all my teeth were cracked and my jaw socket was worn out from grinding. All this after receiving a clean bill of dental health just a few months early from the previous dentist at the same office. The dentist got defensive when I challenged her on this discrepancy. My wife was told a similar thing and I overheard a several other people being told they needed crowns as well. A second opinion from a well established dental practice at their new location across the street revealed that neither my wife nor I required any of the dental work being recommended by Vancouver Smiles.

I haven't been to a dentist in 15 years... and I come from really bad teeth genetics from both my…read moreparents! So needless to say, I have a lot of work to be done and am preparing for some partial dentures). I just had one root canal four crowns and a cavity done (all in one appointment... The QUALITY of work they did AND GOT DONE IN ONE AFTERNOON was outstanding! I was pretty comfortable within about five minutes into my first consultation appointment. As a first time patient, Dr. Recore did not attempt to "upsell" me, and created a great plan for me to love my smile (and within a budget I did not share with her)! During my appointment, I didn't feel a thing (yes I used the gas) and I am a very sensitive baby when it comes to my mouth!! I put in my headphones and listened to my music and went off into my own world and they did their thing! Dr. Bardeloza Did my root canal and this was the best root canal experience I've had (and I've had a lot of root canals from various dentists). I'm leaving this review the day after and I don't feel any discomfort!! I can't even tell I had any work done!!! Christie did my temp crowns for me on my front top teeth (I have been so conscious of those teeth ) and she did BEAUTIFUL work (she tells me the permanent crowns are gonna look even better!!!) my father was a longtime patient of the previous owner and 25 years ago, My son went in after breaking his top front tooth. They were able to build his front tooth back up and he still has it to this day (not once has it broken off!). Going in as a first time patient to new ownership gave me nerves, but they settled them immediately (it's such a nice and comfortable environment with the staff, everyone is really kind). I am 50 years old and for the first time in my life, I am excited to start seeing a dentist to fix everything needing to be fixed and actually doing preventive care! I know this is a really long review, but this place is worth it and I'm hoping it helps someone who is really-really nervous about going to the dentist (like I was).

Very disappointed. I switched to Sunshine because they were in my insurance network. I was told by…read morevery nice office lady my procedure had been approved at around $700 for 2 crowns. Around 8:00pm, days before the procedure the dentist herself called to inform me the nice office lady had made an error and that the $700 was for 1 crown instead of 2. I called insurance and they verified that their approval was for 2 crowns. Seems the dentist lied to me and threw her employee under the bus. Ultimately she refused to perform the work at the approved rate even though she had signed a contract with my insurance company. This was the 2nd procedure where the cost I was given ended up costing double. Very shoddy work from this office. Be careful... Dentist is not trustworthy.

Was informed by the lead Dentist here, that the procedure wouldn't be necessary, and actually recommended against doing so without any more in depth conversation! Here I am now, after another half year of pain, being instructed by a new expert that I'll immediately need all 4 teeth taken out due to the severe gum trauma and nerve pain inflicted at all points of my jaw caused from the severe lack of room. If you're struggling and in need of empathy and understanding regarding your oral health, don't come here. I wish I hadn't. Thanks, for nothing.

I was extremely nervous going in, but Dr. George and the entire staff were fantastic at explaining what was going to happen, walking me through my options, and helping me feel calm and informed throughout the process. The treatment itself ended up requiring three visits instead of the two originally expected. The area involved was larger than anticipated and needed extra time to dry properly before being fully sealed. I also had to return once more to adjust some remaining cement that was affecting my bite. While the additional visits were inconvenient, everything was handled carefully and thoroughly, and I appreciated the attention to getting it right. Because I had such a positive experience with Dr. George, I chose to also meet with the periodontist associated with the same practice, Dr. Yang. Unfortunately, that consultation did not go well for me. The recommendations were delivered very abruptly, and I ultimately chose to seek a second opinion elsewhere. I will be working with a different periodontist for that portion of my care. That said, I would absolutely recommend Salmon Creek Endodontics for endodontic work. Dr. George is skilled, patient, and compassionate, and his staff made what could have been a very stressful experience much easier to get through.

The staff was exceptional. The office is beautiful and clean…read more I presented with a cracked tooth, which fortunately had had a root canal prior, so I was not in pain. I simply wanted the chip of tooth removed as it was loose and made it difficult to chew. My intent was to schedule an appointment to have a crown seated at soon (but later) date. They took x-rays relating the tooth in question and two other teeth, both of which had had implants done years earlier. When Dr. Woyciehowsky came in, it was immediately apparent that he was in a hurry. There was the minimal of verbal pleasantries, then a glance at my tooth, and the news that the tooth had chipped and was still attached to gum tissue. He told me that I would need to make an appointment for next steps as it was late in the day. I kindly reminded him that I had a 45 minute appointment and he said "It's late in the day; I can't keep the staff here". I repeated that the only reason I had come in was to have that bone chip tended to. He begrudgingly said he would take care of it. He was so rushed that it was unnerving. He was speaking quickly and his tone and maner were flip and glib. With concern about his overall demeanor, I ask about being numbed; there was nothing gentle about his touch. He said there wasn't time, and that by the time the lidocaine was administered, he would've already been able to remove the tooth chip. I asked him if he wouldn't mind putting some numbing gel on my gums. He said that numbing gel wouldn't make a difference. I worked in oral surgery for three years. Numbing gel (aka: Lidocaine and prilocaine periodontal gel) deadens the nerve endings in your gums. It takes literally seconds to work and would have provided his new patient with comfort. He declined my request. Dr. Woyciehowsky told me I would only feel some thing similar to the pinch you feel when you receive an injection in your gums. It took him a few turns/tugs to get the tooth chip detached from my gums. It was not painful, but it was uncomfortable, and it was a bit scary as I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. No one offered anything for the bleeding; and when I asked, they gave me a Kleenex. I asked for gauze as it was bleeding, quite a bit. When I initially scheduled with his practice, I had explained that I was looking for a new long-term dentist and that I wanted someone who was kind and compassionate. Dr. Woyciehowsky demonstarted neither of those traits. The 15 minutes he gave of his time left me both disappointed and at ground zero with regard to now having to find a new dentist. I am a friendly, positive and happy person. I treat people with dignity and respect, always try my best to do the right thing, and have simple, basic expectations of others. I rarely let things bother me, but found myself getting home (a 2-minute drive) still surprised by the outcome of my visit to Camas Dentistry, and writing a negative review.
