Here I am now, after another half year of pain, being instructed by a new expert that I'll immediately need all 4 teeth taken out due to the severe gum trauma and nerve pain inflicted at all points of my jaw caused from the severe lack of room. He kept going in and out of the room and nobody told me what was happening. Claims to be a cosmetic dentist and couldn't even shade match, did not polish and definitely did not feel smooth. This is the worst practice I have EVER been to. I was especially unhappy that only a few months lately my filling fell out ???? I went back in to get an itemized receipt and ask for a refund for at least the one filling so I could get it redone somewhere else because I didn't feel comfortable with the him. He was so unprofessional and told me the receptionist was out and nobody else in the whole building could print me a receipt. Then he kept insisting he would "never give me a refund because it's illegal" and that he has to redo it nobody else. Practically put me to tears because he used all my insurance and I have to pay out of pocket now. He was very condescending and completely out of line. Worst dentist in the pnw.

I loved how they explained everything before hand and even gave me time to warm up to the procedure they were doing. They were so patient and kind and I was actually happy when I left there. Dr. Paul is a wonderful man and and very skilled! I love the work he does. I love the staff there as well. We waited about 30 minutes (well worth not having to come back another day) and my son got his cleaning. My son is 32 with Autism and he is very nervous at the dentist and he can be VERY talkative, the hygienist was so sweet and patient with him and made him feel very comfortable. After my braces came off, I developed TMJ symptoms that I had never dealt with before treatment,…read moreincluding headaches, jaw clicking, muscle tension, and needing to stick to a soft food diet. My bite felt off, my teeth would squeak together, and eating became uncomfortable, especially on one side. When I brought these concerns up, I felt like they were minimized. I was told to take ibuprofen and that I was likely chewing too roughly or just adjusting to new contact points. Over time, I started to feel judged and frustrating to deal with whenever I brought up ongoing problems. I also had trouble with my teeth shifting. Even with consistent retainer use, I would develop gaps easily. After retreatment and about a year of TMJ problems, I tried again to discuss my ongoing pain and bite discomfort. The suggestion I received was Botox every few months, which would have cost thousands of dollars, along with working on clenching/grinding. The frustrating part is that I had none of these jaw issues before braces. My teeth were also polished in an attempt to adjust my bite, but I am still unsure whether that helped or made things worse. My bite is still uncomfortable, I developed gaps again after returning to nighttime retainer wear, and I still cannot eat comfortably on one side. It has been honestly depressing to spend over $5,000 on something I hoped would improve my life, only to feel like it made my quality of life worse. I expected some discomfort with orthodontic treatment, but I did not expect long-term jaw pain, bite discomfort, food limitations, and feeling uncomfortable advocating for myself afterward. I eventually went to a medical doctor and was prescribed muscle relaxers to reduce strain on my jaw, which helped with the clicking and headaches and cost me about $2. I still deal with muscle spasms and bite discomfort, but I no longer feel comfortable bringing these concerns up at this office. At this point, I'll be seeking help elsewhere. I wish my concerns had been taken more seriously, especially since these problems started after orthodontic treatment.
