After about 30 years of knee issues, I went to Dr. Eberly for advice. After reviewing my x-rays, he told me my knee was in bad shape. He was very straight forward in explaining the Nano knee replacement procedure. He and his office staff were very helpful in scheduling the surgery. I received clear instructions on what to do pre-surgery and post-surgery. I returned home with an 8 x 4-inch bandage covering the incision. I used the walker for a day and a half, then walked on my own. I've been home now for four days and walk with a limp, but I can drive and do most things on my own. Four days after surgery I was able to remove my bandage and take a shower. For the little pain I have (and I mean little), I take Tylenol. I would be remiss if I did not mention the excellent service provided by the staff at PIH hospital in Downey. read more

Sending a note of praise for Dr Eberly and his entire team. Had as good an experience as one could hope having a full knee replacement. Based on friends who had their knee(s) done through the traditional procedure, it was a long and painful process. I kept putting it off based on their input until my rheumatologist shared feedback from some of his patients who had their knees replaced through the NanoKnee process. Did some due diligence and found Dr Eberly. Met with Dr Eberly and immediately felt comfortable. He checked out my knee and walked me through the NanoKnee process. He spent as much time as I needed answering my questions. Was also comforted by the many words of praise I heard for Dr Eberly from the hospital outpatient staff who see him at work. Had my NanoKnee replacement done as an outpatient. Was walking with a walker the very next day. Was walking around my house without the walker on day two and walking outside, around my block with no assistance and little discomfort on day three. Started driving by day 8 and have continued my recovery at a pretty good pace. Have had some manageable discomfort from time to time as I've continued to work my range of motion through the "at home" exercises prescribed but have yet to need any pain medication. For a 67 year old guy ,I'm amazed at how quickly I've been recovering. I'm only 8 weeks from the procedure and just scheduled some light workouts in the gym with a trainer. Also happy to share my very positive experience with Dr Eberly's office staff. Found them to be well organized, proactive in handling all the related details, provide great follow up and were noticeably pleasant & supportive in making everything so easy for me. Highly recommend Dr Eberly for his knowledge & skill of the NanoKnee procedure as well as attention to detail and caring bedside manner. When you go to a doctor of any specificity, communication between YOU, the patient, and the other medical professionals (receptionists, nurses, technicians, etc.) is just as crucial. Dr. Eberly's cannot be serious about allowing a patient to wait 2 1/2 hours and *still* not be seen by a *single* medical professional. There wasn't a simple "we're sorry, but we are really behind today. It's going to be a few hours before we get to you." Or "we are going to have to reschedule you because we are overbooked with other patients." Or "the doctor is running late." None of that. No communication whatsoever. Better not be sending us a bill for no service. read more

Best Surgeon ever! Dr Vance Eberly performed a partial (NANO) knee replacement on Dec 29, 2023. I have had numerous surgeries for sports injuries, births and cancer and Dr Eberly stands out as the best! He really listens. After his physical examination, he sent me to get an MRI, then a follow up XRAY. We discussed options and since I am an avid tennis player, the best recommendation was for a partial knee replacement. I said, just do the whole thing, I don't want to come back in 5 years and do this again to which he responded, you don't need a full knee replacement. The partial will take care of the problem, I will not need another surgery and rehab will be shorter. YAY! A month later I had my surgery. I was able to walk the next day but because of the nerve block (which almost completely minimizes any paid) I used the walker to avoid a misstep or fall. 2 days later I was walking. I iced it religiously, took Celebrex for swelling and stretched it as instructed to reduce the scar tissue. 2 weeks later I went to see the 49ers win the NFC Championship. What sold me on Dr Eberly is many things including his bedside manner but mostly from recommendations from previous patients, his use of latest proven technology (NANO knee) and knowing what an ethical person he is and that his techniques are highly technical and precise (and his office manager Minerva is amazing)! He is a caring doctor that will make time to see you to ensure your follow up care is progressing. I am 73 and had bone on bone arthritis in my right knee. I was blessed to have Dr. Vance Eberly performed my knee replacement surgery. He is highly skilled and has great people skills. I walked out of the hospital the day after surgery, I was driving in 2 weeks and only used my walker for 3 days. Dr. Eberly is professional, competent, and completely knowledgeable. He took one look at my son and knew exactly what he needed, while I had been told a completely different (and depressing) story by another ortho clinic - who I insisted refer us here. I read all of the bad reviews about wait time and yes, I was extremely concerned about how long I was going to have to wait since my appointment was at 4:30, office closes at 5 and there were 3 people ahead of me and 4 after me. I couldn't figure out how the doc was going to see that many patient and give proper time & attention all within 30 minutes? My total wait time was about 20-30 minutes and just like any other doctor, he spent about 10 minutes with me. I appreciate that he answered all of my questions, was very easy to talk to and very direct- he didn't push any medications on me (but he did make suggestions, which I appreciated). The downside was that I was called in for an X-ray and my issue was not bone related (therefore an X-ray would be useless) and I had to tell the X-ray tech no thank you - otherwise I would've been charged for an X-ray or two that weren't needed. This is no fault of the doctors but the staff should be educated better on what a patient needs before they see the doctor. read more

Came here for a left knee issues, they were not interested in hearing what the problem was, they didn't look at my knee or my X rays they just said you need to take an x-ray. I said no thank you I need an MRI, (because I already have XRays) Dr said he would not move forward without me getting xRays. Those who are going to Dr. Vance Eberly DO NOT GO. I went as a Referral by my primary doctor and regret he he even sent me there. The Staff is so Unorganized my appointment was at 9:15 AM it took two hours for me to be seen by the doctor. When I got back there he came in an talked to me but could not decide what he was going to do until he saw the MRI of my shoulder. He told me to bring in the MRI DVD of my shoulder live it with the staff and he would call me to let me know what his plan was I never heard from him . So after 2 weeks I called and found out they could not locate the DVD for that reason he had not seen it. It has now been 2 weeks but I been dealing with a torn rotor cuff for almost 6 months, they are So Unorganized Please Do Not Go To This Office. read more

I had my nano knee replacement on 3/6/23. I can not say it enough how much I appreciate Dr Eberly and his staff. I never waited more then 20 minutes in his office. Minerva is was so helpful and always available for any questions. She was so quick with my paperwork for my job, a true professional and so kind. From my first appointment till the surgery and after Dr Eberly has taken time to explain and answer all my questions. He is an amazing surgeon. After my surgery they have you walking with a walker the next day. I was able to stop using the walker after 3 days. I was only sore like after a workout but no pain in my knee. Of course I wasn't walking normal in 3 days but I could definitely get around fine. After 2 weeks much better, I was also able to bend my knee some and now after 2 months my knee is doing so well my only issue is I'm dealing with sciatica on that side. That has hindered the strengthening process but all in all it has been a great experience and I thank God I found Dr Eberly and his staff. The nano knee is amazing the only downside is the 8500 out of pocket for the 3D imaging but I am submitting that to my insurance and hopefully I can get something back. I have read that some have been able to get it paid by the insurance. read more

Dr Eberly is one of a few Drs doing the NANOKNEE knee replacement procedure. I have had years of knee issues and tried every option available. Drs kept telling me I was too young for a knee replacement since the current implants only last 15 years or so. Enter Dr Eberly and the NANOKNEE. I met with Dr E and immediately knew this was what I was waiting for. He answered all of my questions and had his team-member Minerva meet with me to figure out the insurance side of it. Minerva went above and beyond with extra research and found a way for my PPO insurance to cover the maximum allowed. I took my husband to meet Dr E so he could get a comfort level with the Doc and answer all of his questions as well. Each meeting, Dr Eberly was timely, concise, extremely knowledgeable and very forthcoming with any info we requested. I am now a week post NANOKNEE surgery and have basically been walking since the day of surgery! Minerva, in Dr Eberlys office, follows up with me on a regular basis and gets answers from Dr E whenever I have questions. They are truly God-Sent! I read past reviews about clients having to wait to see him. I never experienced this in any of my meetings, but if I did, I wouldn't care. He is 100% worth it!! Dr Eberly is amazing. He's kind and caring. It's readily apparent how intelligent and capable he is. I highly recommend him. I had both knees replaced with the Nano Knee procedure and my recovery was so quick and easy. Being the klutz that I am I have fallen more than once post surgery, not because of my knees but rolling my ankle or tripping. Each time I've called after falling his staff gets me in right away to see him. His office Manager, Minerva, is very caring and sweet. I was referred to this office and reading the reviews while in waiting room I can totally agree with what everyone is saying. So they called me in right away so at first I thought oh maybe they are wrong. WRONG! They put me in a room only to wait their for over an hour. They called me prior to appointment to let me know to bring my MRI disc in so the doctor could review. This was about two weeks ago. They just called me in today two weeks after my appointment to ask if I had an MRI done and to bring disc in on next appointment. So I guess that's why he never went over it. While trying to go over my Xray with me on his laptop, it died on him so that was the end of that. He continued on by pointing at a picture of a knee bone on the wall. Long story short, it was an awful experience and I called for a referral to a different specialist the very next day. read more

Horrible, Rude, Do not go here, I have been waiting one year for a copy of my medical records I am about to contact the BBB and the dept of managed health care,I paid him my co pay, my insurance paid him and he refuses to do his job. His office staff is rude and always laugh and tell me yea you might have to wait a couple years for him to write it up.
