Moving a one-bedroom apartment turned into a much longer day than expected, starting around 10:30 a.m. and not finishing until after midnight, but they never complained and stayed positive and hardworking the entire time. I also really appreciated the company's customer service. Since the move went well over the estimated time, they worked with me on the final cost and gave me a one-time credit, which I thought was a very fair and thoughtful gesture. I HIGHLY recommend Roadway Moving! The experience with Roadway started off great! They were attentive, and the personal care for our move was so nice. We loved our movers and they took amazing care of our belongings! UNTIL... the moving truck hit the gate at my boyfriends apartment building. At first they were great about it. Someone reached out and took all the information, reached out to the management company of the building etc. The management company sent a quote to Roadway for the damage, and we thought everything was in the works, and all would be taken care of. Well, its been over a month since our move, and after MANY emails, texts and phone calls we have not heard a PEEP from Roadway. This is unbelievably unprofessional, frustrating, and SO disappointing after the move itself was such a great experience. I am writing this review to hopefully get the attention of someone at Roadway, and get this taken care of immediately. Understandably the building wants to get this fixed, and supposedly someone from Roadway is suppose to come and asses the damage...but we have never heard from anyone. They are holding my boyfriends security deposit, and now I am afraid that if they get it fixed without roadways physical assessment of the damage, that roadway won't cover the damages at all and we will get stuck paying for it. The cost of those items was $3000. They said I didn't have the right "insurance". Why did I need additional insurance to make sure they did the basic job of moving my stuff and not stealing my couch????? They reimbursed me $1500. half of what they owed me. After I paid them more than $20k to move my stuff. BEYOND disappointing. After my review, they reached out and fully reimbursed me for the replacement cost. I appreciate that they care about the reviews and did right by me and my move. That says something.

Thank you sooooo much for making our move seamless. *Updating a day later, after fully unpacking.* My husband and I started unpacking as the movers were still moving things. We noticed three plates, a bowl, and a ramekin had been broken. We also noticed damage to our son's play kitchen. It was still functional, but broken. We were going to let it slide because we understand that things happen, but after we've fully unpacked, there were multiple vases that were broken in one box which held value and I am pretty upset about this. So maybe just some advice going forward, be more strategic with the way that you pack things.
