I'd suggest making an appointment closer to and on weekends. This 'new' location is in a quaint little plaza and close enough to a bunch of trendy restaurants. I was greeted on entrance and immediately noticed the wonderful Orchids all over the store (for sale too). The shop itself isn't fancy and could definitely use some updating but staff are friendly, bowls are lined, equipment sterilized and they do a good job. They do a classic French manicure that though it recently started trending elsewhere they have been doing for years. Great experience!! My first time coming to this salon. I was very nervous because of my past experiences with my old nail tech. When I first walked in, I was greeted by a beautiful pixie, name Van. She is the owner of the nail salon and nail tech. Van worked her magic on my nails!! It has been 2 months since I've done my toes and she took very, very good care of my toes. Van listens to her clients on what they want and does not go rogue on your nails. She takes her time and gets the job done. Her staff are sweet and amazing. They work very well with each other. Overall, I had to give Van Nails a 5 star because she listens, she didn't butcher my nails (which were very bad), and she loves what she does. I chipped two (no fault of theirs) and I went to get them repaired. Not only did Vanessa repair them, she took the top coat off ALL my nails so they would look even. I didn't think it needed it but she's a perfectionist and i love that. This is my new favorite spot! I highly recommend Van, Ruby or Steven, I haven't tried other technicians but I'm sure they are all excellent. They can get pretty busy, make sure you book an appointment or be ready to wait. Came in and they were busy but I asked if they can take me immediately to remove and redip my nails and I only have an hour... the owner called one of her scheduled appointments and moved things around to make it work for me ! She took me and did an AMAZING job in much less than an hour. They are so kind , lovely people that work hard and are great at what they do. Prices are also very reasonable. I made a same-day appointment by calling in the morning and came in on a Wednesday afternoon. I asked for a gel mani and regular pedi which came to $55 before tip. Van did my hands and Steven did my toes. My nails were super brittle when I came in. My right thumb nails was starting to break a little bit but Van patched it right up. The mani went by really fast. Overall she did an ok job. I was looking for a true red and went with big Apple red at Vans recommendation-- very happy with the color selection. She was really sweet. At the end of my mani, the paint job was ok but all my nails were different lengths and shapes. I asked for coffin shape and looked down at my nails to see that she had cut them into almond shaped nails. After my nails were already shaped and cut, I was then informed that the condition of my nails made it too difficult for coffin nails and that was why she gave me almond so if I wanted, I could change the shape when my nails grew out in a couple of weeks. Another mishap: my right hand index finger had a missed spot that stands out. See photos. Steven did my pedi and was very meticulous about shape and length. I appreciated the great massage and his attention to detail. I did funny bunny with a glitter party nail and he did a good job. Only qualm is that it didn't come out evenly/opaque enough. Maybe it was just my color selection. Overall, Steven was great. My mom also got her nails done with me and wasn't super happy with how they came out. The gel polish looked really thick on her nails and the shapes were all uneven. I didn't get to take a photo of her mani/pedi, but I was sad that she didn't love her nails because she doesn't live in town and I really wanted to treat her to something nice and pamper her during our limited girl time. Service here was kind and very friendly but I am really picky and detail oriented and dissatisfied with how my nails look. Will probably give this place another shot eventually, as finding a clean nail place with good, timely service has been quite difficult in south Florida. read more

So I'm a little disappointed. The experience started off so well. I had read great reviews and seen beautiful work done at this place. So I decided to come try them out. Jimmy started me off with a pedi and did it really quick but really well. We moved on to a full set and shortly into it he seemed agitated and not interested. My left hand came out beautiful but not perfect and my right hand looks like it doesn't belong to me. When filing with the motorized tool they use he cut two of my fingers and I bled. He didn't seem worried about it at all. He also cut one of my fingers when switching nails while looking away. I walked in with really short and messed up natural nails so I'm thinking maybe that could've had something to do with having two completely different hands and for that reason I am going to give this place one more shot when I'm due for a refill.
