Bennett Contracting

A 5* review for a home contractor? Surely not - a category of business infamous for aggravation…read moreand complaint. All the more reason to laud an exception. And each of our interactions with Bennett over maybe 3 weeks were exemplary. We had a few small exterior siding and repair jobs - nothing major, just at the point where it wasn't worth me buying a 20' ladder. Initial call: they noted that this was in their 'handyman' category, and it would be a couple of weeks before they had a slot. A rep called as promised, exceptionally courteous, and fixed an appointment time that met our schedule. Their repairman showed up promptly to the minute, cheerful and competent; made sure to get a list of each thing needed and went to work. When we walked through an hour later, every detail was perfect and some were well above the request - for instance a fascia piece between garage doors was not only back in place but silicone-caulked, looked better than new. Pricing was clear and upfront. Left us with a hugely positive impression - kudos, guys. They've been around for a long time, and I am astonished that I get to be their first review - if you have home repair/contracting jobs, give them a call.

Encountered a section of hidden water damage which was smoothly repaired and buttoned up. Daniele Barcaglia and Justin Burton worked daily in absolute miserable weather, snowy, raining and windy cold but continued to focus on our deck with unhurried care and conscientiousness, making sure that each cut and placement of materials was spot on. The final result was just superb and we could not be more pleased with the quality of work and with the friendly and hard-working gentleman on this job. We think highly of Bennett because of their exceptional work.

As a designer, I have had the good fortune to work with both good and bad contractors and there are very few who I would recommend, however, in my experience, Elite Craftsmen has been stellar. Kevin and Allen are both professional, knowledgeable and meticulous. When I first started working with them, after seeing the quality of work they do, I was shocked at how reasonable their pricing was for the quality of work they produce. I worked with them on both Kitchen and bathroom projects and both times the customers were thrilled. I don't have after pictures of the bathroom project they completed for me, but I do have before and after pictures of the kitchen project they did so I am including those. I would HIGHLY recommend Elite Craftsmen to anyone who is looking to do a kitchen or bathroom rehab and their tile work is out of this world. In fact, they don't have enough pictures up on their Yelp page to give the viewer an idea of the quality of work they do. I would highly recommend contacting them to ask for some samples of their work. Kerri Kannan Interior Designer & Real Estate Salesperson

They are worth the wait and worth every penny. We had them do a minor bathroom remodel with a new shower, tile and vanity. The quality of work exceeded our expectations and quieted our worst fears about working with any contractor. They are courteous, open and intent on giving you exactly the result you want. When issues come up or changes need to be made to the plan, they have a range of professional recommendations ready for the customer on how best to proceed, but also are 100% willing to execute any customer request within the scope of the original contract. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of our remodel and will use Elite again in the future.

We had our bathroom done by Daniel Construction, and we deeply regret it. We are still dealing with…read morethe consequences of their work. The tiles were installed very unevenly, and the grout color is completely different from what was agreed upon. After leaving our property, Daniel handed us the remaining grout and told us to finish the job ourselves. One of the tiles is wiggly when we step on it. He and his crew were extremely disrespectful toward our property. We ended up having to repaint the entire house after they left. One of his workers threw paint out of a second-floor window, which dripped down and stained part of our roof and a first-floor window. The bathtub began leaking after only three uses, flooding both our garage and basement. Daniel was always late, and there was a pile of debris left in our yard for days before he finally hauled it away. Paint and other waste were also dumped directly into our garden. We had to replace the carpets in our home because they never took their shoes off and didn't use any protective floor coverings. We felt helpless--our bathroom was damaged, and we couldn't even properly voice our concerns because we were dependent on him to finish the job. Daniel also tried to convince us to lie to Wayfair, claiming that our bathtub had arrived with a crack so they would send a replacement--his plan was to take the "replacement" for his own bathroom renovation. This was shockingly unethical, and of course, we refused. Months later, when the bathtub began leaking, we reached out to him, hoping he would take responsibility and fix his mistake. He rudely refused.
