If you haven't been here, you need to be here now! We came here for an unofficial yelp coffee event and it was truly inspiring and amazing! We got some nitro cold brews and snacks. We learned about the history and present of the business as well. They also have a gift shop inside which is super awesome!

I never knew creating good coffee is complicated. Fortunately, there is Van Buren Coffee that makes buying a great cup of coffee or a bag of coffee beans a simple pleasure. It is a family run business that oozes with their love for coffee. They love the community and they love to give back to organizations that they are passionate about. They roast fair trade and direct trade coffee in their humble building in Paw Paw. There is also a fabulous fair trade shop which features gifts with purpose. I purchased a couple of pairs of beautiful earrings, along with a bag of Guatemala FTO coffee beans. Van Buren Coffee emphasis is to educate, to go to source, to have a story - to talk about where the coffee came from, who grew it and what was important in their lives. The Gettig family cares for their farmers and customers, which is a remarkable story. It's not a traditional coffee cafe, yet it offers some of the best coffee in Southwest Michigan. Stop in and enjoy!

I stopped in on a Monday late afternoon and got a chai tea latte iced. They do not brew it…read morethemselves but it is made with a syrup that is made especially for them. It was delicious. She asked the sweetness level and milk I wanted and added cinnamon to the top. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There was someone working at a table with a laptop and there are power outlets. There is free street parking. The husband and wife owners supply coffee to local Restaurants. The husband roasts and grinds the beans in house. They have a few baked goods from 2 Moon Bakery.

I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile (I think by the owner), and told some things about the menu/flavors. I love a good local coffee shop that cares about the quality of their beans and roasts and this is exactly what I got. I wanted a hot coffee for the morning and a cold brew for a later pick me up for the drive. The owner said the Tanzanian bean was her favorite and I went for it. I have to say it tasted soooo good! So many great notes and flavors. When I ordered my cold brew she asked "do you like it strong?" And I really do. All of this to say... I had a fantastic experience from the time I walked in the shop to the last sip of cold brew. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice, but the coffee was immaculate. Honestly, when I'm near Owl Eye again on my way to Beulah in the summer I will be stopping with my family. And if they have beans for sale I will be buying some bags! If you like GREAT coffee, supporting local, look no further. Get some good coffee!

It was warm, delicious, very tasty , a bit spicy and served on a really good soft bun with crispy edges. Perfectly cooked the sandwiches are served with orange slices , which is a nice break from chips or fries ! They have numerous coffe and matcha drinks hotv& cold. I tried the cold match blackberry lemonade and it was good and my hubby had the matcha raspberry latte and he really liked his. You know it's a great place when you unexpectedly run into the bride eating there the morning after her wedding!!! The only thing keeping me from giving this restaurant 5 stars ( because the food quality IS there !) is the bathroom situation. There's a very tiny sing men's and women's with a sink to wash hands inbetween. I didn't mind the " closet bathroom stall - I minded the dirty floor and the fact that when I went to wash my hands in the shared sink outside the stall in between the bathrooms , barely any soap dispenses! I went under 4 x just to get enough soap to get the buffalo sauce off of my hands. This is concerning because it makes you wonder if the cooks are bothering to try to get any soap on their hands ?! . Roast and Toast : *Clean the bathroom floors and get a new soap dispenser and I bet you'll get the stars and reviews your food deserves !

They had a feature sandwich which blue cheese and bacon that I split with my husband we equally enjoyed every bite. I had their special Cherry Coffee Latte...yummo! They are busy as they make from scratch. The avocado toast was good and light but the Denver Breakfast wrap was perfect and hearty! My sis bought me the coffee container mug which is perfect for keeping coffee nice and hot for a couple of hours! Nice long space. The bathroom space is tight though.
