DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! They put a plastic tube into my oil dip stick line, and it melted into my oil pan...and they had to tow it to a Firestone down the street to fix it,and I was without a car for 24 hours and I didn't get so much as sorry. Called customer service and they couldn't care less about the situation. HOURS of my time and my husbands time wasted between him coming and getting me from valvoline, and taking time off work to come get me from home cuz they wouldn't give me a rental. Zero compensation, zero remorse. Even the Firestone they towed it to said they fix cars from that location all the time! Horrible employees and horrible service. Then when we went to Firestone to pick up my car...it wasn't paid for and I couldn't pick it up. So we had to FORCE them to pay for it on the spot so I could take my car home after 24 HOURS OF NOT HAVING IT AFTER THEY BROKE IT!!! I can't give negative starts but if I could I would. we did oil change at Valvoline coon rapids 2 days later i heard sound in my engine i found out no oil in my car they forgot to put the new oil i end up doing it elsewhere and this happened with a friend of mine a year ago he lost his engine after one month of his oil change due to no oil in his engine because the lower Oil Drain Plug was loose . Don't let them upsell you on a bunch of stuff you don't need. These guys aren't actually technicians, but students. The fuel injector cleaner is corrosive, use seafoam instead. They're just trying to juice you for every penny they can get. read more

I'm rating this place zero stars after my last experience. They didn't clip anything back together, tighten anything or plug anything back in. And to top it off they drenched my alternator in oil. My husband had to walk them through how to fix what they fucked up. I will never go back again, as cars are an expensive necessity and ever bringing my car back here for any regular maintenance will never be worth it. I am still in shock that it even happened in the first place. I am lucky my husband knows what he's doing and could make them rectify what they could. Just got my oil changed here and they didn't fill it all the way. I wasn't sure when they first showed me the dip stick, so I triple checked when I got home and each time it came out at 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full. I was going to go back, but decided it wasn't worth another hour long wait. They didn't check any of my lights either, definitely won't be returning to this location. read more

Update to my original review: Marketing for Valvoline posted a generic, I'm sorry this happened to you please call this number so that we might fix it." That message was not for me it was for the ppl who see my review and think twice about going there. I have already called multiple times and have been denied multiple times. If I was my car to be fixed then Valvoline won't help me. I will have to do it my self. Also no one will apologize for not being open and honest about what happened which in my mind is more egregious. Also before my claim was denied, the manager of the store called me and it sounded like he wanted to help make my car whole but then later it was denied. Valvoline does not care about you. They only want your money. If they make a mistake they will not help you. They will find any way to get out of it. Do not use this company. Use your local car mechanic that actually has certifications for repairing cars. That person will actually help you. read more

i took my car for a transmission fluid, the manager Mikeyla took care of my car the car didn't have any problem i arrived driving normal to the shop, after i left the shop five minutes later the car stopped working no Run, and when i accelerated it didn't do anything to me i got stuck in the middle of the freeway just five minutes from the shop, when i spoke to the manager she told me it wasn't her fault, she said I would took it to a shop and fixed it. Inever had any problems with my car before i went to her shop. Went to get an oil change recently. I pulled into the bay. Tech came over and scanned my license plate. First time in with this vehicle, I brought other vehicles there numerous times. Tech asked for my phone number I said it is unlisted and I don't give that number out. He looked at me and said "What?" I again said it is unlisted. He said we can't go any further without a phone number. I asked why he needed a phone number his reply was " In case we have to call you as you are pulling out and we see something leaking." I think if they are doing their job properly there would be no leak. Supervisor came over and gave me the same answer I said I won't be getting my oil changed here. He said we can put in a dummy phone number. At this point there seemed to be a-lot of tension and I did not feel comfortable heading them service my vehicle. Just stopped here for an oil change while running errands was in-and-out in less than 15 minutes! I love Valvoline! The guys working here are very nice and helpful not to mention efficient. I like it when you're able to go to a place like Valvoline and have them take care of what you came in for and mention things you might want to do in the future without any pressure no shaming. Disgusting customer service! We were dying from the heat because the AC wasn't working so we went to a vavoline to see what they could do. We rolled up lookin fly and were expected to open our hood to them?! They inspected it and told us it was broken. We then had to back out our selves! My girl couldn't figure it out so I had to slide into the driver seat! They stood and watched us struggle!! We were told our behavior reflected poorly on THEM?! I have no words. read more

Had such a good experience in North Oakes decided to have the oil changed in one of my service trucks. I was the only vehicle in the bays. Told the attendant to be careful because the last time I was in they spilled the oil all over the engine causing us stink, smoke and dripping in our garage. We also had to buy engine cleaner, take it to a spray wash and through a carwash. On the way home noticed the smoke and stink again? Went back to the facility, open the hood and sure enough, they spilled the oil on the engine again. To say the least, I was irritated, especially that the attendant didn't even try to clean up the mess before I left. I e-mailed the company twice, haven't heard a word. Too bad they just ruined my opinion of all the Valvoline stations. read more
