I would not recommend this place. I went there for the time on Monday to do a oil change and they…read moredidn't even do it correctly. They forgot to put the tower back in before putting the new oil filter and it completely crushed the new filter that they put in. What a waste of money and a big waste of time trying to figure out what was causing my check engine light to turn on all because a job wasn't done properly.

I went to get it serviced for an oil change on Sunday, March 8th between 11-11:30am. The tech came…read moreto me saying they couldn't do it because my coolant hose broke and sprayed them. They claim its corrosion but I couldn't accept that it happened on its own. If a hose or something was bumped, it would have caused it due to the pressure. It would not happen on its own. I didn't have any prior issues before bringing the car into the shop for an oil change, full synthetic which service was never completed. I didn't understand what was happening so I said I needed to call my husband to be there. They were trying to push me out of there saying I'm impeding in their business. You broke it, I can't figure out how to get home or get my car fixed? They showed me the video and you can clearly see the techs arm against my engine line and immediately moved his arm when it broke. They claim it happens to any vehicle on its own. I don't believe that to be true. We had to get it towed and brought to the shop and they investigated further on the damages. The valvoline manager called with a customer care rep on the line saying they'll pay half of the damages saying it's not fully their fault and he claimed it was the age of the car and corrosion, and said it was probably leaking before and I told him he has no evidence to be making that claim that my car was "probably leaking" or have damage prior to coming in. It happened at the shop so the shop is liable to the damage. It didn't come in there like that. It happened at the shop so the shop is liable to the damage. It didn't come in there like that. I would like a FULL reimbursement of the damages. The next day (3/10) my husband spoke with the manager Corey again. After my husband told him to pay the bill, the manager told him to send the invoice over to him. It was sent but he told the shop they are only paying half and didn't want to talk to my husband anymore to resolve the issue. My husband didn't tell him only half, but to cover it. At this point, being a loyal customer means nothing if a company does not hold 100% accountability to damages. We have a claim with Valvoline and make sure they further investigate the incident.

I'll start with the cliched if I could give zero stars, I WOULD…read more First time, I brought my car in because the temperature was overheating in the summer. I was able to get the temp stable by blasting the heat but decided to bring it here as an official partner of the MN Wild and had an oil change coupon. All the front desk people were nice, Sarah, and Jim were kind and said they'd take a look at it for a nominal fee; nothing to write home about. After waiting all day, they identified that there was an issue with the thermostat and fixed that for around 2,000 dollars. Pricey, but whatever. A few months later, I had a coolant issue where the temperature was rising again and no warm air was coming out of the ac when I blasted the heat. Brought it in to TGK on a Saturday and was told that it would be at least until Wednesday that they could look at it. Brought it home, added some coolant, everything ran fine. A week later, it started superheating again. I brought it in to TGK on a Monday. All of a sudden, there was an issue where the coolant was getting into the engine and there was an issue with an engine head. I got a call letting me know about that and that the fix would take weeks. I asked about loaner vehicles and Jim said that they had none. Since they had already drained my oil out of the vehicle, and rendered it undrivable, I felt like I had no option other than to have the work done here. Jim told me that the cost would either be $4400 or if a new head was needed all together it would be $5200. I was also told I would be updated as the process went along and I would hear from them in a couple of days. I was hoping to hear from them by Thursday. I did not. I called the business on Saturday hoping for an update. The gentleman on the phone knew that it was being worked on but didn't have an update for me. Great... Jim called me the following Monday and said that they had sent out the head that was damaged and that it would be back in a few days and they'd fix it up and have it ready to go for me by Friday. Friday comes. I call to see when my car would be ready. Sarah answers. She said that they hadn't gotten it back yet but they would get it done by the end of the day when it did. I call at about 4. No answer. Jim calls me back and says that it won't be done until Monday but the head only needed covering and that it'll be the cheaper answer. Great. Two weeks without a vehicle has become three. Monday comes. I call in the morning at about 8 to see what the update is. Jim says that they'll be putting it together soon and that it'll be ready by the end of the day. Noon comes. No contact. 1pm comes. Contact Jim calls. He says that while putting it back together they discovered a hairline crack on the head and it needs to be replaced completely. They had this part for how long and they just now discovered this. No proof was sent to me. At all. They have my car. There's nothing I can do to move it. I feel powerless and helpless but to pay. Jim calls at 4. Says the car is ready to roll but there's a problem: the battery is dead. The car won't start. He asks if I want them to put in a new one. It's $300. At this point I'm already in the hole $8000 because of this place. I tell them I will take it myself. I get to the store. Jim is there. Jim attempts to be kind. I finally get my car back. As I prepare to drive it to home to check the battery myself as I've lost all trust in this establishment my drive is marked by a sweet smell and white exhaust: the signs of coolant in the engine. I drive it back to TGK. Jim sees no issue. He says I can leave it overnight. I express my disappointment that I already have been without a car for two weeks and that I'm not going to leave it only to be charged again. At this point, I'm out $8,000. Feel taken advantage of. Have ideas of failure to show care by this business and have no desire to return here again except for the off chance they can make this right. By the way...the battery is completely fine. No issues at all. Stay away from this scam of a business.

Got a flat on the highway, the roadside service my insurance company sent out was..... trash…read more... said screw it and drove on the rim to TGK. Being a young female alone some shops would have taken advantage, NOT TGK. They were incredibly professional, walked me through my options for tires (They didnt have my tire in stock and it was closing time and couldnt get one ordered intime) told me what they could do how they could help me even if their shop could not get it done. I travel with a BIG Mutt, and they were super accommodating of my dog being in there (most places dont allow him in even though he is well trained, he just looks scary) and got me and the pup back on the road and safe. The two people at the front were very friendly and professional and their mechanics were very helpful and looked over the truck to make sure I was safe getting back on the road as it was getting to after closing time.
