Very helpful and explained all the services they provide. I did need new wipers and my tires rotated so I went ahead and got that done with my Groupon oil change. It was a great experience. Bryce and the crew were very kind and accommodating. Talked to us for the entire duration of the oil change. They recommended changing out a brake light, putting the right amount of air in our tires, and getting the right type of oil into our high mileage vehicle. They also recommended that we replace our air filter -- it turned out they were out of the air filter we needed -- they called the part store down the street and had it for us before our oil change was finished! 5/5 would recommend and would prefer to go here because of the great customer service / convenience over other cheaper options. The day after I got an oil change I noticed that the access panel covering the bottom of the engine was not put back in place. When I called them, they located panel and told me to come by and they'd replace it. They moved me to the front of a long line - which is the right thing to do. However, the next time I looked under my engine I noticed that had only put 2 out of 6 bolts on the panel to barely secure it. It was flopping loosely when I touched it. If they took off 6 bolts - which I know were there since I changed my own oil the last time - they should have had all 6 bolts. Never had that issue whenever I went anywhere else to get my oil changed. read more

I've gotten my oil changed here twice now. The best thing about going here is the convenience. You don't have to get out of your car and the whole process is about 15 minutes. Super quick and easy. When asking questions between the difference of the oils offered the employee was able to quickly respond. He showed me my air filter and brought the oil stick to my window to show that it was topped off. Very thorough. I had a competitors coupon for $5 off, which they honored. Full synthetic oil change costed $85.00 before coupon. I feel the cost is a bit high, but it's the cost of convenience! read more

Very slow today. Three bays with three lines and possibly 2 crews, but we couldn't be sure. Waited 20-25 min and watched one car in front of my husband drive off. When it was finally his turn, he was told he would need to go the end of another line and wait. They were moving other cars around too. He told them that he had been waiting and was next and they told him he wasn't. My husband said he would leave and no one even tried to talk to him. They clearly didn't care. He left and went to Jiffy Lube in Centerville where we had great service! Never again will we go there, We will go to Jiffy Lube where they care about their customers. read more

I waited for one hour to get my oil changed. They placed me in the first lane then proceeded to take 5 cars ahead of me that showed up after me. Manager just blew us off never spoke to us. I called corprate office in Kentucky and she as well didnt do anything on their end. All this occurred and nothing came about it. I argued with the manager and he thought he was above the customer because he was young and thought he was cool. Never again will this location get my business! These fine folks managed to lose five of the six screws that hold the plastic panel under the engine of my car. I only noticed it a couple of days later when I heard a scraping noise when going over rough roads. I was very surprised to see the two zip ties in place of the screws that are supposed to be there. I've always taken my wifes car to this location. I recently had it in for an oil change and i noticed it was taking longer than expected and sure enough a tech asked me who did the last oil change because who ever did put the filter on to tight and they couldn't get the new one on. So i told the guy that they did and that I've always brought it here. He said OK , we'll have someone come over and look at it etc etc, they got it on and put oil back in and right before i pulled out i confirmed that everything was cool with the filter and they got it on OK... they said yes but it you run low just bring it back and we'll top it off.....Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cross-threaded the filter on my car. By the time I got home the oil was pouring out. I went back and the manager said he would give me 50% of my next oil change. He could've caused thousands of dollars of damage to my car and that's all he would do, in addition to acting like he just didn't care. If you don't know what you are supposed to be getting, you might think they are great. But if you do have an idea, they are not doing the complete job. I have a truck, so as part of the "lube, oil and filter" job, all my grease zerks should be getting greased. Well, after watching the video feed closely this entire time, which I have not done in the past, I noticed they did not grease any zerks. I asked about it and was told they are physically impossible to get to. I said no way, as I used to do this all myself, which apparently I may need to start doing again, or go somewhere else. One man went back down under and told me he did them now. I asked how many, he said 3. Well, there are 11 under my truck. Another man went down and came back up and said he got 8 and could not get the rest, if he even looked. Well, I came home and rotated my own tires and check, just to see. Nope, I was lied to. Only 3 zerks were actually done and 2 others just had a blob of greased placed next to it with no real effort to try to get it done. After further asking questions, I learned they are "reviewed" by the company on how quick they get cars in and out, striving for under 15 minutes. I told them I don't care about the time, take as long as you need, to do it right. And, to corporate, if they don't have the appropriate tools, such as a swivel end on their grease guns, and that is their excuse, that they don't have the correct equipment to physically get to them, them please get them what they need. After all, you are a lube, oil and filter business. I know they make swivel ends for grease guns because I have one. If they can't do the complete job and do it correctly, I will not be back. read more

Took my son's car for an oil change a couple months ago and they were pressuring me for a cabin filter change for the low low price of $49.95. I opted out. Went to wal-mart and bought the filter for $16 bucks! Also when they were checking the cabin filter they didn't replace the strip that protects the cabin filter/blower area so when it rained it leaked inside the passenger floorboard....about a 1/2 inch of standing water!!! Will I be back??? NO!!!!!! I'll go elsewhere. read more

I went to Valvoline on Wilmington Pk for several oil changes with no problems until my visit in June 2017. In addition to my oil change, a radiator flush was suggested. I had the radiator flushed and within 2 days my car started having different issues including a/c working intermittently and car dying while idling. My engine ended up over heating and stopping. I had to have my car towed to my mechanic who found a round hole in my a/c compressor, a broken serpentine belt and contamination of different other parts in my engine. After $1300 in repairs, my engine continued to over heat. We then put a water pump and new thermostat on it. It still over heats and is undrivable. I complained to Valvoline on Wilmington Pk and was told I would have to prove that it was their fault. I complained to the company who even asked for copies of my mechanic's bill but after being dragged out for weeks, nothing was ever addressed. Bottom line...I ended up having to buy another car. Do not take your car for service at this location. It may end up costing more than the convenience is worth. read more

I would deter anyone from using this location for service. Twice in two successive days I was asked to move my vehicle from the lane I initially pulled into, only to have vehicles that pulled in for service after me get marshaled in to stalls for service before me. On both occasions late arrivals that received the preferential treatment pulled into the lane I had initially pulled into. On my second successive visit in as many days three vehicles that had arrived after I had been asked to move got this preferential treatment. When I confronted the manager he stated that they had run into difficulties servicing the commercial van ahead of me and weren't able to get the correct serpentine belt tension set without a degree of difficulty. While that certainly explains why I was unable to proceed in that lane, it fails to explain why the other vehicles were processed ahead of me. I did subsequently take my vehicle to a different Valvoline location for service and had no problems which is what I had been accustomed to all of these years. But unfortunately the only one close to me is the Wilmington Pike store, so I will be seeking an alternative for my future vehicle servicing needs and would encourage others who detest lousy customer service to do the same. read more

On a Friday we took car in for simple oil change. When finished, the car wouldn't start. Tried to sell my son a new battery (for $20), then called and told us they had to push it outside because it wouldn't start. And that I would have to have it towed to a shop to fix it. We drove the car in with no problems and now, it won't start! We had it towed on Monday to dealer. When I called about problem and asked about battery price. Oh it is $20 a month for 5 months. I really don't think my college-aged son misunderstood that detail! When the dealer checked car out, battery was fine. (Valvoline had taken new one back out) and there was a plug-in under the car that had been disconnected and was keeping car from starting. Simple fix for a solid knowledgeable mechanic. I was reimbursed for the repair cost at the dealer, but I don't feel like I should have to pay for the oil change either since I was without a car for 5 days plus all this aggravation for a simple oil change. And over priced at $60+. I learned my lesson - never go here again!! read more
