Donation centre info

I cannot vouch for the prices inside the store , but the staff working at the back donation dock are always flashing a big smile and very helpful to help the unloading process. They seem to get quite a bit of traffic here both in terms of buyers and donations and feels good to know where the money proceeds go as they clearly state it all around the store.

PLEASE - if you change your mind, bring it to the staff at the front. They'd much rather have it in their cart to put back than finding it all over the store. To the review - this donation center is great. The staff is always so helpful and cheerful. I like dropping off items here when I need to get rid of well conditioned items. Shopping here is a hit or miss, as always with thrifting. I do find that I am more likely to find something I like here than at other locations. I think it's because I find this store a bit more spacious, so I'm more willing to spend time looking through the aisles here. The pricing here leaves me kinda iffy about wanting to shop here sometimes. They keep bringing up prices so sometimes, things aren't even a good deal anymore. It's suppose to be for non-for-profit and environmentally friendly to thrift. But here, I've definitely found over priced items, broken items still being sold, and items priced higher than the original price tags attached. Be patient, spend some time... anytime you're thrifting, you need to be willing to spend time combing through each item if you want a chance to find something great.

Lafayette Consignment - A little bit of Hermes

Buyers Beware: Lafayette Consignment appears to be a total sham…read more Tried to contact the store several times via phone, email, and instagram DM to inquire about an Hermes Birkin bag advertised on their website. After nil response, I decided to order the bag anyways. Completed the online checkout process and received an order confirmation from Lafayette directly. It is worth noting that after I purchased the bag, there was a "sold out" note on the advertisement. 16 hours later, Lafayette cancelled my order without explanation. I quickly attempted to contact them directly (again), without success. Clearly Lafayette did not have this bag in their stock. They have still not released the hold on my credit card and will not pick up their phone or answer any emails. This has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences and I would never consider shopping with them again.

They were very communicative throughout the process and sent photos of the bag from different angles. Once I confirmed that I wanted it, I e-transferred the money, and they provided a tracking code; the bag arrived four days later. The bag was in immaculate condition, and I am delighted with my purchase.

This is a large thrift store right at the intersection of Warden and Eglinton in the same plaza as…read morethe Merchant's Flea Market. The parking lot was quite busy and a bit chaotic when I went. The donation area is on the south side and just to the right of the entrance. When dropping off items, the staff will ask if you want a 20% off coupon. The store is large with two main sections. Housewares, furniture, electronics, books, vinyl records, and CDs at the front. Then there is children's, men's, and women's clothing. Even further into the store, there is more women's clothing. Prices are very reasonable, and the items are generally in good condition. At the Kennedy store, the electronic section has power bars to test if the electronic items work. I didn't see it at this location. Glass display cases near the front have designer brand items like purses and high-heeled shoes.

The layout is easy to navigate, with clearly marked sections for clothing, housewares, books, and electronics. Inventory changes frequently, so it's worth checking back often. Ms. Zeta were courteous and helpful, though service can vary depending who is attending you at the store. Prices are generally fair, especially for clothing and small household items, though some customers might find certain items a bit overpriced compared to other thrift stores. I appreciated Zeta when I asked for a discount and she gave me a coupon that had a 20% discount for first time buyer. I was happy and appreciated her for this and it made my decision so much easier. Overall, Zeta should be recognized for her great customer service and for managing the sale appropriately making my decision to buy the two items easier with the discount. Robert N. I've dropped items off at this store a few times, but I've never actually gone inside until now…read more There's a shopping cart to drop off donated items as soon as you enter the store on the right or you can unload larger items at the back of the store. Then it's a wide, open space with racks upon racks of women's clothing. There's definitely a lot to go through, but I'm sure you'll find something for you. I saw a black, sequined BCBG Max Azria dress for only $19.99! I wasn't sure if it would fit, and I didn't see any fitting rooms. There's an electronics section with older electronics like VCRs, DVD players, boomboxes, CD players, stereos with cassette tapes, keyboards, speakers, countertop cookware, fans, printers, etc. There's even a power bar for you to test the electronics before making a purchase. Up the stairs, or the ramp, there's men's clothing, sports equipment (like baseball bats and skis), lots of books, vinyl records, furniture, mattresses (that I think are new and were donated to the store), housewares (drinking glasses, vases, bowls, and much, much more), and even artwork. By the cashiers, there are items in locked display cases. I saw jewellery, old telephones, and even a Nintendo Entertainment System. I didn't see any controllers to go with it, though. There's a seniors' discount for 10% off, and if you've donated items, you can get a 20% off coupon.
