If you need a vintage sign, stop light, parking meter, gas pump, toy, steering wheel, advertising piece, anvil, or other distinctively guy stuff, this is a fantastic place to find it. It has a vintage industrial kind of man-cave feel to it. It's not a gigantic store, but it makes good use of the space available. Considering the older store front it's in, it is one one level, and almost all of the store is flat and accessible. There is only one section with a single step down, but customers can see into that area pretty well without having to step down in, so I feel like it's still mostly accessible to all customers. Every time I've gone in I've had a good time. The pricing is higher than some other stores in the area, but it does such a great job of curating one type of antiques that it's still fun to visit, even if some of the higher end items may be above one's price range. It also gives the shopper a chance to see some really neat items that may not appear in a lower end store. I've enjoyed each visit, it's totally unique, but very focused on one type of stuff. This isn't the place for flowery glass and vintage dresses. It's refreshing to see a store that caters to the more industrial, and automotive. We tried the Murray location thrift shop next. It's smaller than the DI. I'd the say they are overall pickier about the quality of the items they offer to the public than the DI. The prices are what you'd expect from a thrift store. Overall it was a good experience. More furniture related items than you typically see at the DI too with a smaller selection of clothes. But everything in the store was in decent shape. It's well organized. The lines move slowly. That might be its only drawback. I highly recommend this place.
