Of course you get horrible appraisals from this company. They only pay $250 for an FHA appraisal to their bottom feeding appraisers whereas they collect $550 to $625 for the appraisal from their clients. Greedy crooks. Any mortgage company or borrower that goes through this appraisal management company is being robbed. Having reviewed numerous of their appraisals as a review appraiser I can confirm that the quality of their appraisals overall is poor. Anyone paying $450 or more for an appraisal deserves far better than what you will receive from this unscrupulous bunch of bandits. read more

This company puts out that they are a group of highly qualified professionals. So when they were selected by my bank for my refi I thought cool owned by the employees should be quality product with knowledgeable people. Ha Ha. The appraiser spent less that 5 minutes yes less than 5 at my home. Did not ask a single question. I am excited with all the upgrades I have done in the last 6 years more recently the new 50 year roof, solar and a/c unit in the last two so I shared. Well the report came back almost 200k less than my previous refi when the market was lower. Over 200k less than actual comps in the area. The appraiser used comps over 5 miles away over 9 months old and a completely different style of home. He indicated that there were NO UPGRADES to my home in the last 15 years. Why is style important you may ask, a 1903 Victorian is completely different than a 1956 home especially on a home on the national historic registry. Anyhow, obvious I sent an appeal in. I noticed there were several homes closer in age, sale date and size. One was actually sold in the last 3 months lot size slight smaller less than 50 sq ft and home size less than 50sq ft larger. Same room and bathroom count.....sold for about $250k more than my appraisal. The reason I was given that it wasn't used....it is immaculate and has high end upgrades. I guess natural hard wood floors in 50% of the house 6 years ago, remodeled kitchen with oak cabinets, gas stove and GRANITE counter tops are not considered high end. Oh and did I mention the bathroom was done at the same time with subway tile. Oh and how was it determined to be immaculate with high end upgrades, did he go in and see it....Nope. Photos on the realtor website. Yeah those aren't staged and taken to make a home look as perfect as possible. One last thing, paint on the house (7 colors to bring out the beauty of the lady) is 3 years old and maintained yearly. As mentioned earlier solar, roof a/c unit with duct work 2 years. But hey no upgrades in the last 15 years. I literally found 9 comps all within the last 3 months and they still did not make an adjustment. Not even by 10k which was all I need to get where I wanted to go. They literally comped me at the lowest of their alleged comp homes. So when we called the manager to talk about the appraisal she seemed to understand. Yes he should have used the other comps as a Vic is different than a craft or home built in the 50's. She'll Look at it and let us know. Nothing. They held firm at the original same line...what any other appraiser would use, per guidelines couldn't be used because the were "immaculate with high end upgrades" if granite, hard wood, tile, solar, and a 50 year roof aren't high end WTF is? In summary, they have appraisers who: 1. Can't tell the difference in home styles 2. Have no clue that hard wood and granite are high End 3. Don't know that comps are to be sold in the past 3 months and of similar, age, size and style of the home (which there were plenty of) 4. Have new clue how to add and subtract. 2018-15 is 2003....multiple upgrades since 2012 forward. If this company gets selected use your decline rights and get someone else!!!! BTW, the 3 realtor friends I have an 2 active appraisers all were floored at what they came in at, what they used for the comps and all the pints they were I corrected on. read more

Warning...do not use this company for your appraisal services. They take your money, give you incorrect information on your report and when I called to talk to someone the lady who answered the phone didn't want to help me in any way. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!!!! read more

Frustrating experience with this AMC. Loans have specific timelines and require all the pieces to come together for them for the loan to close. As a loan officer, I rely on all parties in the transaction to work together to execute the loan and to provide my clients with good customer service. Valuation Partners was assigned as the AMC for one of my clients. Appraisal supposed to be on 10/14. Notified that morning the appraiser has a medical emergency and appraisal needs to be rescheduled. Inspection is rescheduled for 10/19 and we can work with that. Borrowers have to adjust their work schedules. Appraisal is scheduled for 11am. At 11:15 my borrower reaches out to me saying no sign of appraiser. Calling Valuation Partners, they reach out to the appraiser and he's unable to make it to the inspection as he was just getting back into town from the family emergency. I understand emergencies happen. And my sympathies to his situation. But I find it unacceptable that Valuation Partners did not inform me or my client of this fact, and the appraisal has to be rescheduled for a third occasion. read more

This company is very unprofessional! I started a loan process to refinance with Veterans First (so at this time would not recommend them either). Valuation Partners was to do the appraisal. After 2 weeks the appraiser called me at 9:30 at night. When I did not answer he sent a text msg stating and I quote "I am the appraiser for *my address*. I am looking to schedule an appointment and will be in the area tomorrow." Needless to say, I did not get the text til the next morning. I texted back that due to my job I would not be able to accommodate an appraisal that day. Told him that I was off work on Monday and would be available then. He did not respond back. He then tried calling me and as I work on the phone doing medical triage I could not speak at that time. But I did answer and told him I could not speak at that time but would call him back within the hour. I attempted to contact him but no answer and could not leave a message as the mailbox was full. So, I again sent a text that I attempted to contact him and that as before I would be available on Monday. Still no response. I contacted Valuation Partners directly. I was told that he told then he had tried calling me 3 times that day. This was an outright lie. A couple of days later I spoke with a manager at Valuation Partners. He apologized and assured me that he would assign another appraiser. A couple of weeks go by and still nothing. Today I learn that Valuation Partners refused to accept the contract and so the loan cannot go through. This whole process started the beginning of August and it is now the end of October. I will never recommend or have anything to do with this company. Very poor, unprofessional business! read more

Adding this review to hope it further deters anyone from using their services. The problem is that for an appraisal for a loan you dont really get to select your appraiser. I concur with the other reviews that they undervalued our fully renovated home to the extreme but also showed vast incompetence in other ways too- for example omitting AN ENTIRE ROOM. After I brought this to their attention, they doubled down saying that it wouldn't have changed anything anyway. They also dinged us for "no weather stripping" on the back door. Not only was it there it has just been replaced two weeks prior.... These people are horrid morons. read more

This place has got to be a joke. The appraiser "FRED/Farzad" wanted to come out on a Saturday. I told him I worked and we booked the appointment for an upcoming Wednesday. He then called back and said he messed up and did not write down the appointment time. I confirmed with his company that he is to come out on Wednesday ... what does he do... he shows up on Saturday and gives me attitude because I'm on my way out to work. (Obviously he must have lost money). I just called to confirm that the Wednesday appointment was still taking place, and he said he cancelled it. Absolutely unprofessional. SCAM. read more

Am refinancing my house an my lender selected Valuation Partners for my apraisal. I got an EMAIL from V.P. that looks vary much like an over seas scam. No contact information on EMAIL other than reply to and a link to to a payment site that has no contact information ether. My lender gave me their number so I could varify V.P. is a real company. I paid over the phone and did not use the poorly written Web site. I hope the service is better than their appearance. read more

I have never worked with such a poor appraisal management company. I have to use them because I'm brokering out a loan but whatever you do don't pick them as your AMC. They are BAD! read more

There are many organizations that monitor and track home value. Banks, mortgage companies, and yes,, Zillow. When it comes to market price, you want a responsible company that understand the market. Not sure where Valuation partners get there info, but it completely contradicts reputable organizations that track home values. If you get this company,, So Sorry, your going to get screwed. read more

If I could give no stars I would. The appraiser came to my house and just wrote something in her report regarding my house because she thought it would be appropriate. She did not call the town or local code enforcement she just arbitrarily wrote in something that said I needed to build a fire escape from the 2nd floor. She also had listed the home as a 2 car when it's obvious a 4 car garage. All garages are attached to the home. And might I add she has the house on the wrong street. The home is 2 family and rather than her calling and speaking to the building inspector she wrote this in the report. Totally incorrect. Then she was to correct it and actually speak to the building inspector and when she corrected the report because she couldn't actually remember what he said she wrote in something else. We actually had to ask yet again for the report to be corrected and sent her a link to the codes showing that nothing was needed as the house isn't 3 stories. She was given 48 hours and as of 72 still had not corrected the report. She wouldn't even respond to the company. Now do I think this is the companies fault? No but I also doubt I will be given a discount on the appraisal. Nor do I think she will be reprimanded. She doesn't return calls, the building inspector had to call her 3 times and leave messages. I had to call the company to see where we stood with the appraisal and as of the writing of this review she has still not submitted the report. I will be lodging a complaint through the state as well. If Valuation Partners uses incompetent appraisers all I can say is please beware before using. read more

They used a lousy appraiser and did a poor job reviewing the appraisal in "quality control" even after they sat on it for a long time. The appraisal came in $70k below purchase price. I think he did it on purpose to throw the deal and I also found the appraiser posted anti-white female and anti-white comments on his open facebook page and he knew I am a white female and what I was paying as they gave him the contract. The appraiser used REOs for comps, made mistakes and their VP for "quality control" James (Jamie) Palmire, didn't catch any of it. All of their errors caused me to be late for closing and incur a $500 fee which they refused to pay. It took over 2 weeks for them to realize they made a mistake and order a second appraisal which came in almost $30k above purchase price(a $100k difference from the first appraisal). They didn't even bother returning emails. I would give them no stars but you can't do that here. read more
