8/26/2026: I inherited a diamond necklace that needed a clasp repaired, and since finding a trustworthy jeweler is so hard to come by--where trust often matters even more than the service itself--I wanted to start with a small job first. I have several other pieces I might bring in for cleaning and servicing, so this was a test run. Donna Jewelry checked every box: Location & Reputation: I love the area, and knowing they've been in this shopping center for a long time gave me immediate peace of mind. Realizing he was the owner made the experience feel truly local and personal. Fast & Fair: He fixed my clasp on the spot while I waited. The total came out to $35.00, which was extremely fair for such fast, high-quality work. While I waited, I noticed he had a fantastic selection of custom pieces on display. When I asked about his other services, he was more than happy to walk me through the details. This place is a joke. Their jewelry is heavily over priced above retail. Rude and slimy sums it up. Had a watch repaired and was not what the original estimate was but the experience was what rubbed me the wrong way. My advice is stay away as there are many better options in the area. As a married man, I find myself buying jewelry more often than I would by my own volition for fear of having pain inflicted on me by my lovely wife if I didn't. On the other hand, I'm not sure having a piercing would have better prepared me for this. This summer, I thought I was way out ahead on the pain avoidance curve when I bought a beautiful gemstone setting for her in India. Then life and all its niggling details got in the way and it was three days before Christmas before I realized I needed to purchase a suitable gold necklace for it. I felt myself being targeted for pain from one of two directions: (1) Having to fight holiday traffic and mall craziness to go to a Zales/Gordon's/James Avery type establishment to purchase the necklace, or (2) Feel the painful wrath of a woman who is jewel bereft in the holiday season. I (wisely, I believe) chose to experience pain from #1 above and headed for the mall. On the way, I stopped at my Credit Union in Town and Country Village to get some cash and noticed Donna Jewelry hidden away in the strip mall behind the main complex. Feeling a lot of good karma, I realized I'd stumbled into a painless option #3. The store isn't much to look at but I was greeted cordially by the owner, Ben Garcia, when I entered. Other than the two of us, the shop was empty. I hadn't noticed the store before because (1) I wasn't looking and (2) Ben had recently moved from his previous location in Alief. I asked him about his specialties and he informed me he designed and created his own settings for customers and did a lot of repair work. I filed that away under very useful information. He even showed me some of his custom settings. Very nice. He also had a good selection of chain necklaces in 14 carat gold and I was able to negotiate a price I liked for my favorite. I had taken my watch in to another nearby (in the mall) watch service company to replace a battery...lets summarize in that it was a bad experience. Especially as compared to the friendly, fast, and inexpensive service I received at Donna Jewelry. I was told at the other place it would be $300 to bring the "water damaged" Tag watch back to working order. Here at Donna's, I got it back the next day and has worked just fine since, for 1/10 the price. I will be coming back and recommend you try them out too! read more

I have either purchased or had jewelry created or repaired for over six years at this family owned store. The jeweler is an expert at creative designs, and I have purchased many of his unique gold necklaces. He has made for me copies of fine jewelry at cheaper prices including an intricately carved gold wedding band and diamond eternity band. The work is done timely and professionally. read more

I wanted to give a "'shout out" to Ben and his lovely family who own this boutique shop. They are always friendly and accommodating to whatever your request is. I happened upon this shop quite by accident while doing business next door. I thought I would just look around for future reference. This shop has so many beautiful things for reasonable prices that my family now shops here for jewelry, having bought several nice pieces from Mr. Garcia, the owner. He has great patience and is very informative and goes above and beyond what is expected for his customers. He designs as well as repairs jewelry and is very good at these tasks.
