I asked him to hold it until stones were agreed upon. But he went ahead and took the ring apart anticipating a different design which we had not agreed upon. We ultimately agreed on the replacement stones. However, within the year after the ring was completed, the stones became loose. I contacted Bruce by email (his office is far from my house)to see if he wanted to fix the problem...NO ANSWER. I went to another jeweler who said the ring had been so compromised that the stones would never stay secure without completely refabricating the ring at significant expense. Again, I emailed Bruce about what the other jeweler said. Again, NO ANSWER even though he had answered many prior emails. I shared this with a friend and he also had had Bruce do some custom work which was subpar. I regret it (because he did do some great work for me in the past) but I will never use Bruce again.

The clock's movement hadn't been serviced in over 116 years according to the 2 November 1910 inscription on the pendulum bracket by its previous servicer. Also, the clock's marble base was missing most of the Roman numerals that were formerly attached to it to serve as the dial. Bernie Maya of Chappell Jordan completely cleaned and serviced the movement and bell such that the clock mechanism now looks brand new and the clock runs like new. Bernie also polished the marble and installed new Roman numerals for the dial on the clocks marble block. What a magnificent job ! Chappell Jordan hit it out of the ballpark again !

Being unfamiliar with the experience of purchasing/selling a diamond ring, I was weary of being low-balled and/or taken advantage of when unfortunately I had to sell it. After meeting some very shady, rude, and dishonest people, I was referred to these guys by someone I trust. While business comes first in situations like these, these guys handle it professionally and are genuinely good people who are not out to rob you. They don't criticize you if they feel like you got a bad deal, they don't dismiss requests in a disrespectful manner, they don't lose their patience.. instead they treat you like a customer ("family" is a little much) and sympathize with you're in an unfortunate situation by speaking to you honestly and clearly. In the end, our transaction was fair, enjoyable, and genuine. These are good people, and I highly recommend seeing them first before buying or selling something like a diamond ring before anyone else. read more

I was in the market for a wedding ring and a good friend of mine recommended this company for the best Diamonds at the best possible price, so I called them up and I set up an appointment, the guys were really knowledgeable friendly and professional. they told me all the different options I could have and explain me about diamonds in general. I ended up getting a one carat diamond ring with a very special design, I really had no idea what it was doing I was just trying to make the future wife happy. at the end when I showed her the ring she was unbelievably excited and happy which made me feel happy about it. I had a diamond that I want it to give away and I got many many offers from pawnshops and diamond buyers, DJP was very polite and explained to me exactly what my diamond value is by color, clean any couple more factors. In the end they paid me the highest top dollar for my diamond :) I'm very please with those people very honest! I'm highly recommend DJP diamonds! Today was my second time here at DJP diamonds. I was referred to DJP diamonds by a friend who has lots of nice jewelry. My friend has sold a lot of jewelry and diamonds here over the years and she knows who the reputable dealers in Houston are.
