This is part 1 of our review for having our 2nd story windows cleaned. We have all the screens removed (for re-screening)so we thought it would be a good time to have the windows cleaned. We called 5 local businesses, 4 told us that they would not have an estimator out to our home for 3-5 days, and after approval, it would be anywhere from 5 days to a high of 3 weeks to schedule. We called Valley Windows, spoke to Gary, and were expecting the same nonsense. NOPE! What a process they have...he looked up our address on Google earth, and gave us an estimate over the phone. Then they said they could be out on Monday 7/18 to complete the job. Pretty darn efficient! Stand by for part 2.....do they keep the 5 stars or will it drop??? Monday morning 7/22..Part 2. Chris & Christian arrived early, polite and ready to go. One did the front 2nd story, the other did the back of the house 2nd story...."In, Out and Done".........Within 10 minutes of writing the check and thanking them, we discussed them coming out a few times a year. Had them do gutter cleaning. Pictures speak for themselves. They left garbage every where, didn't clean the gutters thoroughly and downspout wasn't flushed. It was visibly blocked. I finally did the Level 1 gutters and downspouts myself. Not sure how bad it would be on Level 2 where I didn't climb too. read more

Very expensive! For the time that the 3 individuals were at my single story residence the charge was about $115 per person per hour. Also the next morning I had to remove some of the squeegee streaks left behind on my French doors. Not very thorough! During the coarse of watching one of the individuals mashing a ladder upon a rosemary hedge, I warned him that he was doing damage to the plants. His response was that he used to work for a landscaper and "it would grow back." Payment was required in cash or by check. I would not recommend this business-- Expensive, Not Thorough, Not careful, not business like. read more

The owner responded quickly to our phone request for a gutter cleaning, schedule an appointment quickly. Workers arrived on time, were gone about 10 or 15 minutes later. We noticed there was no water anywhere in the back of the house (from washing out the gutters). So I climbed up to check, they had just not "bothered" to check or clean most of the gutters. It seems that unless the gutter wasn't massively backed up, then it didn't need anything. Large clogs of dirt and debris were ignored, small layers of dirt were ignored. Only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that the owner sent the workers back and they did a better job the second time. But if you don't check their work, you'd never know. After reading several reviews on Yelp about the many different companies, Valley Window Cleaning seemed the best fit for our needs....and we were not disappointed. We have a large commercial building of which the entire front of the building consists of windows. These windows had not been cleaned in a very long time resulting in caked-on calcified deposits. Garry did an excellent job of cleaning the deposits and left the building with a new light source.....daylight! What a difference! The tenants in the building are thrilled at the amount of light they now have as well as the view. Thank you Valley Window Cleaning! Granted it was a big job - apartment community, but the workers were not on time or on schedule, they were lazy and staring at their phones and not working. They missed several windows and the owner was not on site to over see the poor workmanship. Communication was poor with the owner and he demanded payment on the last day of work which is unheard of in the business world. Typically your invoiced and given 30 days to pay. I've been using Valley Window and Gutter for a few years and they are always curteous, prompt, friendly, and do a great job.

We made a very bad choice when we selected Valley Window Cleaning. We recently hired them to wash 37 windows in our home. Not only did they fail to wash all of the windows (we were not home at the time they did the work), but their workmanship was mediocre at best. Streaks left on some windows and as stated, some windows not washed at all. Worst of all, their employees left hundreds of filthy shoe prints on my patio which required over an hour of my time to clean. They did return and wash the rest of the windows but refused to clean up the horrible mess left on my patio and walkways. One of their employees was very rude to my wife when they returned to wash the windows they originally ignored. Not sure there are many options but this company has lost my future business. read more

I manage several commercial buildings and the one in Livermore, CA had not had the windows cleaned in at least 5 years. I called Valley Window and spoke with Garry who was happy to meet me out at the building, look at the inside and outside windows and have a bid for cleaning them to me the next day. The outside of the windows were extremely bad with years of built up hard water stains from the landscape irrigation but somehow they were able to make them look new again. There crew showed up on time, were curteous to our tenants and always cleaned up their mess at the end of each work day. I will definitely use them again and recommend them as often as possible. I unfortnately had a bad experience with this outfit. I had them come to clean out my rain gutters and they did a satisfactory job of that and even cleaned a 2nd story window that got some water splashed on it. However, in the process they knocked off a loose roof tile which they informed me about. A few days later when I got up on my roof myself to replace this tile I discovered another broken tile which they hadn't mentioned. It is possible that they didn't notice but when I called them about it they wouldn't take any responsibility but would check with their crew about it. I never heard back from them. Finding the replacement roof tiles and getting them installed was an unnecessary inconvenience. read more

Found Valley Window Cleaning from internet search on a Friday night. Sent them an email with specifics about the number of windows to be cleaned at our house. Within minutes an estimate popped up. Added a few comments that I wanted window screens and window tracks cleaned. Input my name, address and contact info. The next business day, a representative from the company called and spoke with hubby. Appointment was set up for the following week, hence, today. Martin and Chris showed up for the job. Both extremely well mannered and very professional. In less than 2 hours the two of them cleaned the windows, inside and out. The screens were cleaned as well as the window tracks. They even removed the hard water stains on the front window at no charge. If it weren't for the window frames you'd think that the windows were missing cause they are so clean. I'm afraid a bird is going to fly into one of them. Yes, my husband and I could have done this job ourselves, but not in less than 2 hours; probably more like 2 days and I'm positive they wouldn't be as clean. I'm completely satisfied with the job that was done by Valley Window Cleaning staff and will keep the company magnet they left us on our refrigerator for future use. read more
