There is new management as of 1-2 years ago and they are really trying to clean the place up and are going about it in the entirely wrong way, in my humble opinion. Good things about this place- 1. They are outside of Eureka a little bit so there aren't as many homeless people wandering through. This can also be a downside if you don't have a vehicle or are having car trouble 2. There are showers, restrooms, and a laundry room. Laundry is much cheaper than at the local laundromats Not so good things about this place- 1. The managers are trying to get better tenants while removing amenities, not fixing things that desperately need fixing, and constantly changing the rules requiring tenants to spend money on things that are not their responsibility, and then changing the requirements as soon as they have complied. They are also raising the rent while doing this, even for people who have contracts that stipulate otherwise or who they haven't notified. 2. When there are problems that a tenant needs to have solved (like a homeless person causing trouble, other tenants allowing pets to potty without cleaning up, someone doing drugs, etc), the landlords put the responsibility back on the tenants requiring them to tell them exactly who is causing the trouble or calling them when it happens and then not responding for days or longer when they do 3. They are cutting the maintenance man's hours while requiring him to do more than they are paying him for. Because of this, major things requiring repair aren't getting repaired and lawns aren't being mowed and the clippings are left all over the tenants space 4. There are major electrical problems at this location- outlets catching on fire and having major issues like reverse polarity. This has caused damaged to multi trailers and RVs. When it does cause damage or a tenant has to spend a lot of money on an expensive surge protector, they refuse to pay for the damage they have caused and blame the tenant 5. There are many problems with the sewer system as well- drain flies, improper and leaking hookups they will not fix, even if they were messed up before you moved in, etc. I had to spend my own time and money to be able to hook up my RV and it still leaked and smelled. You also cannot leave your black or gray tanks open. This was rather inconvenient as my gray tank filled up daily. All in all, they are one of a very few trailer parks in Eureka that have openings and a less unreasonable rent amount. It's that way for a reason.

The corp. immediately dropped most of the grounds maintenance staff and the very well-appointed grounds started deteriorating. Then the rents started increasing-- up to four times a year. We managed to get a rent stabilization regulation in place, but the park owners spent hundreds of thousands fighting it with lies-- lies on billboards, on TV commercials, in newspapers-- anywhere they could! Now, 6 years later we managed to get one more 1/2 time worker, and the sprinklers have finally come on!! The park is generally a peaceful, friendly place and a good lower-cost alternative to stick-built homeownership. We have managed to fend off negative situations with one administrative hearing and one mediated negotiated settlement. Home resale values are on the upswing. But there was a rat I festation deliberately created by a park resident and the manager was unresponsive to stopping it. The park has hasn't had a permit to operate for over a year and rent bills are incorrect.

This site was a good fit. We had to park the Jeep away from our site because there wasn't any room for it. The park and people working here were good. The grounds around the RV park were in poor condition. The grass between the sites were very long. No edging either. The WiFi was good and the place was clean otherwise. The big problem was the street access coming into and exiting the RV Park was terrible! Pit holes so large you would of thought land mines had gone off. This is unacceptable!!! Going in and out each day was a major chore. Kind wouldn't stay here again unless the road is fixed. Oh heck no!!!!!

We like off season travel. And added bonus is this place is right off of 101 making it super convenient for traveling. Most spots have full hook ups. Some just w/e. They have a cute little u shaped area for pop-up campers. Not all sites are super level. Some are pull thru and some back in. Some spots back up to 101 but we became used to the sparse traffic quite quickly. The tent sites are mostly very private. They are nice. Perhaps the neatest places to stay are the cabins. They look so inviting. Some have full kitchens which works out nicely since this very well stocked grocer, Murphys, is just down the street. It was a surprising find in a town of a little over 300 souls. They have a hot bar too! Nice people abound in this area. The little store onsite is also well stocked. There are toasty bathrooms available and the showers, if needed, are coin operated. Fair warning: if you use starlink, there are a ton of trees! There is a "bark park". We visited all the cities/towns in the area including the absolutely adorable Ferndale! We highly recommend the beach in Trinidad. Just stunning with tons of soft sand. We recommend Emerald Forest Cabins & RV.

Very nice park, safe and easy to get to right off the 101 highway. Full hooks ups, pull thru level pads, grass all around the site. They have a pool and hot tub, Good laundry room, along with a good Mexican Restaurant in walking distance to the park. We will stay here again when we are in the area. Eureka and Arcata are nice, but they both have some bad elements, be aware of the areas you are in. This RV park is safe and in a good safe area. While there we visited the Redwood Nation Park, Trees of Mystery, Avenue of the Giants, town of Ferndale and lots of Ocean hikes.

So good we stayed 2 nights instead of moving on to Eureka. The lovely park caretaker lives on property and ensures everything goes smoothly and late arrivals no problem. It lays alongside the South Fork Eel River and amongst giant redwoods. Showers and bathrooms very clean. Setting is fabulous. Just look.
