After interviewing approximately seven solar companies, reading reviews, comparing pricing,…read moreevaluating customer service, and reviewing BBB ratings, I ultimately chose SunMade Solar Energy to expand my existing solar system. One thing that stood out immediately was that their pricing was highly competitive with the other companies I considered. While pricing was important, what really set SunMade apart was that they hold both solar and roofing licenses. This gave me additional confidence because I previously had a bad experience with another solar company that damaged my roof, failed to fix the problem, and later went out of business, leaving me to pay for the repairs myself. Our sales representative, Jon Bernal, was professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. There was one item that the system designer later clarified, and although it wasn't a major issue, Jon personally reached out to notify me of the changes. That level of integrity and accountability meant a lot to me and demonstrated that he genuinely cares about his customers. The installation crew was professional, arrived on time, kept the work area clean, and communicated well throughout the process. After installation, I noticed a section of concrete that had become uneven due to settling. I contacted SunMade, and they returned within days to correct the issue and followed up to ensure everything was satisfactory. That kind of customer service is becoming increasingly rare. The entire process moved efficiently. Our first meeting with Jon was on March 28, we signed on March 30, the system was installed on April 27, the meter collar was installed on May 13, and we received Permission to Operate about a week later. Jon also helped us identify and secure available rebates. I would also like to thank Tara in the office. When I needed copies of my contract documents, she provided them promptly and without hesitation. Another positive observation is that the owner, Oz, appears to be actively involved with the company and personally responds to customer reviews. I noticed this during my initial research and felt it reflected a company that values customer feedback and satisfaction. At the time of this review, SunMade Solar Energy held an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Based on my experience, they delivered competitive pricing, excellent communication, professional workmanship, and outstanding customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend SunMade Solar Energy to anyone considering solar for their home.

After the install, I can see why. Duane W was my rep and walked us through the whole process and just made it easy. I think if you've been on the fence with going forward with solar, definitely look into SunMade. You can tell they take pride in their work and give quality attention to detail. Thanks!

Once it was time to put the solar on the house, the guys who came out did a great job installing my solar and were able to finish the install by the time I got home. There was an issue with the electrical box (unknown exactly the issue). I called the solar team and they sent someone to my house within an hour of speaking with me. When I called mySolarEdge to ask why I did not get consistent notifications, they said it was because the installer, Solar Negotiators, had put themselves as the "owner admin" and receive the notifications. They also informed me that these notifications are free as they are part of the app. I called Solar negotiators back and I was informed that they do get notifications from mySolarEdge. They initially stated that it was my responsibility to inform them of when my solar panels are not working so that they can repair it. However, when I reminded them that I do not even get notifications from my app because they are the owner admin, they admitted that they do receive notifications for my system and that they would normally catch it and reach out to me to repair it. They also stated that they have been busy over the Spring and therefore had not been able to address the issue in a timely manner. They advised me to send them a tru-up bill in order to receive reimbursement. I reached out to a representative on June 4th and provided them with my tru-up bill. However, they would not provide me with any updates or status changes unless I prompted them with emails. Finally, after my fifth prompt, I received an email from a customer representative informing me that I was responsible for notifying them of any loss of power and they would not be able to reimburse me at this time. This is completely different than what I was told on the phone previously. I believe this company was using misinformation and delayed responses in order to not address my issue. In addition, I was never informed that they had control over my account, which I believe is a tactic to force me to either consider paying an additional cost for their monitoring app, "Know Tru-up", or risk not get reimbursed when my system loses power without my knowledge. Edit: Cindy, the Chief Administrative Officer, did reach out to me and was very pleasant in trying to help me. She reached out to Solaredge and was also informed by them that Solar Negotiators did have full administrative access and that they could grant it to me. She attempted to work with making that change but nothing has occurred in the past two weeks. My review still stands but I do appreciate leadership taking accountability and trying to remedy the situation.

Hello, I want to share my experience with Nova West Energy. While I was in the market to add a…read moresolar system to work alongside my existing one, I interviewed about seven different companies. I took my time researching, reading reviews, evaluating customer service, and even checking the Better Business Bureau. After all of that, I narrowed it down to two companies, Nova Energy and another local company in Fresno.Ultimately, I chose the other company because they hold a roofing license as well. This was very important to me due to a previous bad experience with SolarCity damaging my roof and not fixing it. I ended up fixing it out of pocket. That being said, Nova Energy truly stood out. Justin took the time to thoroughly educate me and presented a very well-designed system tailored to my needs. Honestly, I would have gone with them if it weren't for my prior experience and specific concerns. What impressed me most is that they genuinely care about their customers. Even knowing I was comparing multiple companies, they were patient, transparent, and focused on making sure I understood exactly what I needed for my home. Even after I told Justin I had decided to go with another company, he still took the time to make sure I was fully informed. He reviewed key details with me such as solar panel quality, system performance stats, degradation rates, and the difference between kW and kWh, just to ensure I was making the best decision for my home. That level of professionalism and integrity really stood out. In today's world, many companies treat business as just a transaction, sell a product and move on. Nova Energy is different. They take the time to understand your needs, educate you, and guide you without pressure. Their approach is honest, professional, and customer centered. Their pricing is very competitive, and they don't try to oversell. Instead, they explain your actual energy usage and make sure you don't overproduce unnecessarily. That level of integrity is rare. They also have excellent reviews, offer a strong 25-year roof warranty, and clearly stand behind their work. Even though they didn't end up installing my system, I believe my hesitation around roofing, despite them having a 25 roofing policy, was more related to my previous negative experience and my need for extra reassurance. If anything, if you are in the market for a solar system, I strongly recommend giving Justin a call. He is honest in his evaluation, does not try to oversell, and takes the time to answer every question you may have.

Around March of 2026 my wife and I got really frustrated with how high our true up bill was getting. We had no explanation. I called a friend of mine (who used to own a solar company but now retired) and asked for some recommendations. He recommended 3 companies, one that claims to 'negotiate', one I don't remember the name of, and NovaWest. I didn't know what to expect but I knew that I wanted 2 things, I wanted to purchase my system, and I wanted someone to be able to take over maintenance and the warranty on our existing panels. Side note: We live in Riverstone, and all new housing requires solar panels, so we purchased instead of leased what we were required to purchase. Within 6 months of moving in, the company that was providing the solar panels went bankrupt. So now we have no way of monitoring or contacting anyone if we think something is wrong. I first called someone to 'negotiate' with. They proposed and focused more on a 'Power Purchase Agreement' rather than focusing on the panels. I will never lease, or get into a PPA again no matter what after a prior experience with my old house and trying to sell it to move into Riverstone. I'll spare you the details but I will only purchase, no matter what. With this in mind, the conversation quickly turned to convincing me of the benefits of the PPA rather than how they will help with the old system and provide me the best solar system for the most reasonable price. When I absolutely indicated that I will not do a PPA the rep stopped negotiations and ghosted me. Same thing happened with the second company. Accept they didn't ghost me, they just couldn't get me a reasonable system without a PPA. At this point, I didn't have much hope or confidence of getting a new solar system and getting my old 'legacy' system up and running correctly and optimized. Then I called the last recommendation, Nova West, and got on the phone with their sales rep Justin Douglass. When I called I was already defeated, frustrated, and didn't have much hope so my approach was completely different. In that first conversation I told Justin something to the effect of "I don't know if you can help me, I want to purchase solar panels, I don't want to lease, I've talked to 2 different companies and that's all they care about is the lease and not actually helping me. I don't want to waste your time, if you're the same and have to push the lease just tell me now and I'll move on." Justin's response was something to the effect of "I hear you, I can't believe that's been your experience so far, I would love to give you a quote for a purchase if you don't mind. You're the boss and if you don't want to lease or do a PPA, no problem, let's see what we can do." And Justin held true to that. From the very first meeting he came with a quote to purchase (which by the way was even more reasonable than the so called PPA agreements I was presented with. In other words, these so called lease PPA agreements are supposed to save me money and I ended up owning for less than these other companies presentations). He analyzed what I needed, and then gave me options, and then we actually truly negotiated a purchase price that I was happy with. On top of that, they offered to commission the old system. This in itself was HUGE!!!! You see, in installing the new system, they discovered that the contractor that worked with the homebuilder of the old system installed the first system incorrectly. There's a box where some major wiring runs through aside from the circuit breaker box. One of these connections was loose and arched and completely fried that box. My only 1.5 year old panels had not been producing for like what ended up being close to 6 months. I would not have known this, and probably would have never had a way to fix this had I not found a solar company that I trusted (Nova West) and a sales rep that earned that trust (Justin Douglass). Nova West, took their time installing the new system, answered all my questions, and Justin Douglass has spent numerous hours helping me in the entire process. And it's a process, that involves many steps, including working with the monitoring company that allows you to track what your panels are doing. I purchased an Enphase system, and after everything was installed, Justin and I contacted Enphase to get everything up and running and spent about an hour on the phone getting everything producing, reading, and tracking correctly on the legacy system and the new system and now both systems are working together in a productive way. I can't wait to get my first bill and see the impact. Justin and Nova West heard my concerns, understood my frustrations, didn't argue or try to convince me to do something I did not want to do. To put it bluntly, before calling Nova West, I had complet
