Solid pulled pork and sides. Service can be slow so plan on a wait. My 8 year old pointed out that it is tasty even if they cannot spell Carolina correctly. "Banana Pudding" was the most disappointing I've ever been served outside of a pudding cup. Where were the bananas and Nilla wafers??? Brand new food truck right on Rt. 11 (and Fadley) in Weyers Cave (about half a mile off 81), this truck sells serious BBQ. They keep it simple -- pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked turkey -- but the meat is great and the sauces are no joke. The Carolina sauce (my favorite) is super sharp and just right. The Texas-style isn't merely boring sweet the way it is some places: it's a little smokey, with spices and a little heat. And the smokey bourbon sauce is just delicious. Sides vary: the green beans (southern style) were good, and the fried pickles with sauce are addictive. You can order sandwiches, platters, or the bulk smoked meats. This review is for Valley Pike BBQ and the newer food truck/bus, Old School Burgers. Upbeat and personable staff, fast service, awesome food! Also, they DO accept credit cards (both Valley Pike BBQ and Old School Burgers). At Valley Pike BBQ, I tried the pulled pork, mac and cheese, and green bean plate with a little sauce on the side (I can't remember which sauce I tried, though. There are several options). Really, really good! Large portion sizes for a modest price. At Old School Burgers, I tried their food on two separate occasions. For lunch, I had their "Build Your Own" burger with lettuce, tomato, and house sauce, and some fries. I almost ordered the 1/2 lb, but decided to get the 1/3 lb and was happy that I did because it was more than enough food. For breakfast, I had the Ham, Egg, and Cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and house sauce. And I have to say -- probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! Lots of flavor and very filling without being too heavy. I was super happy to see that they left the yolk of the egg a little runny, just the way I like it. The only recommendation I have is for the Old School Burgers truck to add more toppings to the "Build Your Own" part of the menu. Other than that -- Valley Pike BBQ - 5 STARS! Old School Burgers - 5 STARS! Overall great experience with their customer service and the quality and quantity of their food. Review for old school burgers. Not bad, the toppings are fancy shmancy but nothing plain like a good old bacon cheeseburger which is aka an old school burger. Large burger and it was quite yummy but was very pricey and it didn't come with fries. The fries were awesome, curly, with some sort of delicious seasoning. But again not included in the meal. Overall it was over $10 for both which isn't terrible for a restaurant but this is a food truck. Work on prices or do a combo meal and I think people will be more pleased. Also it stinks they close at 7pm. Most people don't eat that early. Need to try the BBQ still! read more

I only come here for my boyfriend, who loves the brisket but will also eat bbq when they are ever so often out of the brisket. I've tried the sides, not all impressed. Again, boyfriend loves the meat,so I come back to get that for him. So why only 3 stars? Because more than just the sides are unimpressive. Though the person working as a cashier in the evenings is friendly, they have had a difficult time understanding my request that the sandwich be wrapped separate from the sides (so the bread for sandwiches don't get soggy). Furthermore, tonight was the second time a person, wearing gloves intended for food prep,has touched the windows, tablet screen, the cash that I paid with,all with meat crumbles stuck to the gloves, and then went and prepped my food with the same gloves. (Do you know where that cash was before I got it and paid with it? Because I don't. Sanitation and Safety 101). Not so sure I'm willing to eat it. What else was done with those gloves on? read more

They are only open until they run out of food. I stop by there at two o'clock one day and they were closed. Tried again the following day about the same time and this time they were open. And the BBQ was superb. You can get a pound for $10 and it's worth it. Coleslaw is great and so are the sauces. So catch them on Monday through Friday before they run out. Review is for Old School Burgers...Went there this morning for a burger never realized when it was open, they need some sort of flag or something...,.no biggie They don't start serving burgers till 11...UGH! but they do have the typical breakfast sandwiches...only these were not typical! There breakfast sandwiches are hands down THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES in the valley! Bottom line: my food was good. I got the BBQ with green beans and cole slaw. My husband's food was not as good; he got the brisket, which was sliced WAY too thick. The serving was generous, but because it was so thickly cut it was hard to eat unless you just took each piece of meat in you hand and chewed it. Not a fan of fried pickles, but that may just be me. I didn't go to the web site, so I didn't realize it was a food truck, so we passed it right by, and went up the road and turned around and finally found it. We were lucky it was a balmy November day, because we ate outside at the picnic tables. As I said, I really enjoyed my food, but I should have looked closer to see what to expect. I love this place! Great prices and their food is awesome. This is my go-to if I need to bring food to anyone. Quick, reasonably priced and delicious! I highly recommend the mac-n-cheese.
