I have now visited this dentist office several times and each time I am amazed at how efficient the whole check-in, get information, care team work! I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years and I can say without a doubt that Heather and Savannah do an outstanding job in explaining everything that is going to happen and what the costs will be. Both ladies work smoothly together and create an atmosphere of professionalism not often seen in any office. Thank you for caring enough to go the extra mile every time. Jean Moffett read more

This office felt more like a used car dealership than a legitimate dental practice. I came in for a routine cleaning and was told my entire mouth required a deep cleaning due to some gum bleeding. Shortly after, a "care coordinator" came in who was clearly acting as a salesperson rather than a patient advocate. She ran the proposed treatment through my insurance and told me it would cost over $1,000 out of pocket. When I hesitated, she immediately offered a "discount" that magically dropped the price to around $550. If the procedure could be done for $550, it's hard not to question why the initial quote was nearly double--apparently to see if I would accept it. Things felt even more questionable when the dentist was brought back in to reinforce how necessary the treatment was and to discourage me from doing anything less than a full deep cleaning. This came after I was told they would not perform the regular cleaning I had actually scheduled, because it "wouldn't be worth it." To be clear, I do have a few pockets and occasional minor bleeding when flossing, but nothing that hasn't improved in the past with consistent flossing. Based on the experience, I strongly suspect my measurements were exaggerated to justify selling an expensive treatment that may not be necessary at this time. In short, I booked an appointment for a cleaning, was refused that service, and instead subjected to a high-pressure sales pitch. read more

One of the worst dental practices I have ever come across. My mother was a patient there and they were very dismissive of her questions and concerns. Both the dentist, Dr. Katie Magstadt, and the hygienist, Yuliya, provided extremely poor service. The entire staff was condescending and infantilizing, and did not explain why certain procedures were necessary. I was very disappointed to see that a person who has been a patient for many months would be so disrespected at an establishment where she sought care. read more

I recently visited Valley Modern Dentists in Aurora, Co and had a Fantastic experience. The office is spotless and very well maintained and welcoming from the time I walked in. The staff is incredibly courteous and professional, which is so very important in a dental setting. As someone who gets anxious during dental procedures, I was especially Grateful for Savanah, the office manager. She went out of her way to calm my nerves and made sure I felt at ease. Her kindness and attentiveness Really made a difference. Dr. O'Niell was also Wonderful and mindful of my dental anxiety. I would Highly recommend anyone looking for a great dental experience to this office. I'm definitely recommending them to my friends and family. read more

Patient care is crappy, definitely just a business and not big on quality care. The business is fine but the staff seem to not care about the patients and that just says a lot about how they handle business. Invest your money elsewhere where they actually care about you. read more

This is the place to go if you want unethical billing, aggressive treatment, and horrible dental services. They put profits over patients and will gaslight you into thinking that their shoddy workmanship should be acceptable. I've been to seven different dental professionals to fix their dental malpractice on my front tooth. 10 weeks later and thousands of dollars out of pocket (even with two dental insurance plans)... missed work... pain and suffering... anguish ...and I'm still battling with them. They have had the opportunity to make it right but they won't. They billed insurance and held my dental benefits hostage even though they told me they would void the claims. I finally had to take legal action and make a small claims case. I hate posting negative reviews on social media but they have been criminal. And that's not just my opinion based on my experience, it is in the opinion of other dental professionals. Out of the kindness of my heart have not listed the names of the two dentists and office manager that have treated me so poorly, lied to me, and caused me much distress, but TRUST ME when I say to look elsewhere for your dental care. I would hate for anyone to go through what I've been through... read more

I've been a patient of Dr Farrkh since moving to Colorado 3 years ago. I've had several crowns replaced and this is the first time I've had a dentist make the crown on site, immediately. No temporary! Out the door with your new crown in about 1 hour. This office also has a hygienist. Some dentist do their own cleanings and I personally think hygienists do a better job. I'm here today because I broke my front tooth crown late yesterday. Got me in at 7am and replacing for free. read more

I am updating this review because I had the opportunity to talk directly with Dr. Bradford regarding previous services rendered. He provided a detailed explanation of why the particular dental work was done, and even offered to refund the cost of the "guaranteed" crown when it was found to be non-replaceable. Special mention to Sarah, the office manager, for working with our ever changing dental insurance providers. I am scheduling a visit for some dental work on myself, and will adjust my review accordingly when completed. read more

First time I've been to the valley modern dentistry and I can tell you it was a great experience. I am very apprehensive going to dentist! But the staff and Dr. Rabbis are so helpful and knowledgeable and some of the nicest people you ever going to meet. I tell you if you're apprehensive about going to a dentist or just need a really great dentist I suggest going here they accept most insurance and are very knowledgeable in getting stuff like that handled and letting you know where things stand between the insurance company and the services they would say provide. I know for a fact how much I hate going to dentist but this experience has changed my mind. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need or try to do procedures in which weren't necessary. But rather went and took the time to review my needs and speak to me as to what it is that they could provide and what it is that I actually needed and didn't need. I really do suggest anybody needing a dentist go to Valley Modern Dentistry you're definitely going to feel at ease and appreciate having a great dentist and a great staff helping you with all your dental needs. read more

Went back for the wisdom tooth removal and impressed by the oral surgeon. He and his team are very professional answered all my questions and put me at ease. The process took less than 1/2 an hour. The front desk staff was very friendly as well. They have a great professional appearance, are friendly over the phone and provided a reminder call three days before. If this review was purely for the oral surgery experience it would be As Good As It Gets. However, on my initial visit I was told I would be contacted ahead of time to set up a time to watch a pre-video and sign some paperwork. I had to call them about a week before the surgery and I also had to request the pricing on the removal as when I called they didn't have it prepared for me. After watching the video I decided it would not be necessary for me to go under anesthesia in order to get the tooth removed as it had already surfaced from the gum. I talked to the front desk staff advising them I just want a local so the price went down by $300 from the initial cost quoted to me that included anesthesia. Why I am the one that had to ask for a local instead of going under? I would have appreciated the dentist that saw me in November notating a recommendation of local/anesthesia or if the oral surgeon looked over my x-rays beforehand so he could make a recommendation. Instead it was a discussion between me and the front desk staff that is not familiar with my teeth and said I could decide what made the most sense for my financial situation. They also said that the oral surgeon may recommend anesthesia that day if he thought it necessary and it would be the higher price. I believe it would have been excessive for me to go under anesthesia for this procedure, and obviously the oral surgeon agreed with that assessment since that is what I received. I would love to see this office get a more streamlined process on this part of the service. So once again my overall experience was just ok. read more

If you like to have your insurance over charged...charged for services you don't need and then the services being done wrong...this place will meet those expectations. They will schedule for appointments when you requested none...here is your place. And as a bonus the front desk gals are completely entertaining to listen to as they talk about patients and the doctors they work for. No place better. I worked in a dental office as a hygenist and as a manager of my own business I would be horrifed! read more

Their $59 new patient special is only for the x-rays, which includes a panoramic. There is no cleaning, no hygienists available to do a cleaning and a partial deep cleaning is $1,900.00. They gave me back someone else's retainers that don't fit me and don't look very clean either. They don't tell you there will be no cleaning so I have to re-schedule all my other medical appointments that are contingent on having the cleaning done first in which time the orders for them will expire so it means I cannot have any medical diagnosis and/or treatment. read more

I have been a patient here for about three years now. And I find that I am treated respectfully and as an individual, that the quality of care is high, and that everyone is really focused on maximizing the customer experience. My latest experience was an old crown which broke over the weekend (not one they had installed). I called the emergency number, scheduled an appointment for 10:00 am Monday, and had the replacement crown in place by 12:30. Although they were already busy, they found a way to share the responsibilities for my (urgent) care, and pulled it off practically seamlessly. And after a couple days, there is no physical reminder of the new crown (soreness, sensitivity, etc.). I couldn't be happier to be able to get this taken care of so quickly and competently right before the holidays! read more

Check your bill and insurance thoroughly after going here. They will underestimate the amount your insurance is going to pay so it looks like they have "paid more" while they charge you more than the in network agreed price claiming that it was for "upgraded" service. That's fraud they have to charge you what the contract with the insurance pays and can't file it as a different code and then tack on some extra money for an "upgrade". Buyer Beware here. read more

I would not recommend Dr. Berwick to ANYONE. I had a tooth extracted. He did not look over my history or X-rays, nor did he talk to me about them. He introduced himself and said, "Please open your mouth" and he JABBED me with a needle. No warning and no topical. He said, "We don't do that for adults. It doesn't work". WHAT? It has in the past. The nitrous oxide I requested and PRE-PAID for was there but not administered. He said, "That stuff doesn't work." I insisted on it. I was not numb. The nitrous had not been on long enough, nor was it high enough. He did not check to see if I was numb yet he started pulling the tooth. I'm now SCREAMING and he asks if it hurts. He can't get the tooth out and stops. Again he says, "Did that hurt?" I say, "I thought you were being facetious. When someone is letting out a blood curdling scream, I think that should be self-evident that the person is in pain"! He gives me another shop. The next shot also did not numb me. He says, "This is a 'hot' tooth and you should have been put out for this". He's the professional? Why didn't he determine that ahead of time by checking my history, X-rays, tell me, and re-scheduled for another day when I could have been put out. This is only the tip of the ice burg as to what happened throughout the procedure. Berwick does not get it, is pompous, and shows NO compassion whatsoever. Afterwards he wanted to know if he could do anything to help my "discomfort" (excruciating pain). I said, "I never want to see you again. You are a barbarian with a soft voice". (That statement was VERY nice and not what I was thinking.) It is now day 9 since the ordeal. I have been checked for a dry socket by my dentist. I do not have one and I'm still in a lot of pain do to the "trauma" pre my dentist. The office staff was great, friendly, and sympathetic unlike Dr. Berwick. read more

Arlynda the dental hygienist was amazing. I arrived and found out I had a balance of 18.40 cents I needed to pay before my appt. DO NOT GO HERE! They tried to tell me my 16 year old needed a root canal when 6 months prior she didn't even have a cavity or need a filling. I got a 2nd opinion and not only does she NOT need a root canal...IT WAS THE WRONG TOOTH that actually needed the filling and had a cavity. I'm SO happy I decided to get a 2nd opinion. I cannot believe they would put their greed for money over the long term oral health of a child (the root canal was going to run me $900 after insurance). I never write reviews but was so disappointed and saddened that a team of oral health professionals (lack there of) would make such a negligent decision. Save yourself and your family from this money hungry, unethical group of "dentists" and find another provider. A huge shout out to Dr. Ben Ricketts and Dr. Holly Baller in the Southlands area for sparing my child a long, painful, unnecessary procedure and for being true and ethical to your trade. read more

A cross between the DMV and a used car lot. I specifically asked for a cleaning, and after being there almost 2 hours for xrays and exam, I was told I would have to schedule another appointment for a cleaning. The staff was rude, and pushed expensive extras. Any time I brought up my experience at my old dentist (who I loved and who retired), the staff and dentist were rude: "he must have gone out of business [doing business like that]." All I can say is stay away! Find someone nice who will give you what you need, not the $400 'personalized laser'. The first (good) review was obviously a plant by the office. read more

The first warning sign that things were bad happened after my 3rd visit. I had gone my whole life without a cavity. Then all of the sudden they were claiming that I had 4. Of course they were willing to fill them immediately. I told them I didn't have time and that I would come back. Fortunately for me, my sister is a dental hygienist. I sent her a copy of the x-rays. My sister told me that 3 of the so called cavities were just shadows due to really crappy x-rays and that the 4th was only maybe a cavity. She told me I needed to switch dentist. I didn't listen. I went back and confronted them with what my sister (and her dentist) had told me. I was then told that I didn't have cavities, but 'pre-cavities'. Kinda funny how the story changed. Fast forward to this past summer. They managed to convince me that I had the worst case of gum disease ever. After undergoing a scaling treatment (they were really pushing for periodontal surgery), I paid my portion of the bill. About a month later, an additional bill showed up in the mail. I called to ask them about it. They told me I was being charged extra because my insurance didn't cover as much as they originally estimated. Thus I was responsible for the difference. I happened to have their pre-service estimate along with my a statement of benefits from my insurance company. My insurance actually covered more than what was in the estimate. I informed the lady of that. She asked to put me on hold. About 5 minutes later she came back and told me that I had received a 'fake bill' and that I could throw it away. I asked her where my refund was and she said she would get back to me. Still waiting... It might have taken me longer than it should have, but I finally heeded my sister's advice. I will never go back again. read more

I've had about a year of experience dealing with these people. The service is ok, but even with insurance seems a bit pricey. The people are generally pleasant to deal with. Appointments are generally easy to get and later hours (after work) are sometimes available which is very helpful. The biggest issue I have with this place is they don't respect your time. And by that I mean appointment times. Today for the third time, I was not seen within 15 minutes of my scheduled appointment and today it was over 30 minutes before I left. Within that 30 minutes, NOONE gave me an update at all. When I finally asked at the desk, they checked and said it would be 15 more minutes, at which point I said, "not bloody likely" Overall: nice people, average service, marred by appointment times that are largely fictional. read more

I just had my first appointment there on Thursday. I hadn't been to a dentist in quite some time and the news was less positive than I had hopped. I ended up getting a crown fitting in two teeth and spent a number of hours there. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, and sensitive to what I needed. The Dentist (Jennifer Parker, DDS) was very hands on and knew everything that was going on and checked in on me regularly when she wasn't doing the work herself. I ended up spending a lot more time there than I had expected but the work was held to a very high standard to the point where you might call it perfectionism. They didn't want me to leave until all people involved were satisfied and ended up giving me a few discount coupons that more than made up for my time. The staff that I would like to recognize are; Assistant Christina, Hygienist Carolann, Benefits Coordinator Avacelli, and the dentist Jennifer Parker. Thank you for the good service. Most of the visit was a positive experience and I rated them accordingly. However, a few things that I thought could be improved was that the experience took too long. Some of that time could have been saved by a more efficient process. Also, when I left I got a little goody bag that contained some basics like a tooth brush, floss, toothpaste, etc... Their advice was to use a power tooth brush but they gave me a cheap $1 brush. What is the point of the advice if they give me something that contradicts it? Clearly could have been thought out better and reflects a disregard for either the gift or the advice. Probably not systemic but with only one visit it is too early to tell. I will go back there and plan on keeping them as my dental service team. read more

Switched dentists after 20 years. Tried this new place. It was a little hard to find, attached to a bank building. Reception was very helpful in setting up an immediate appointment. Husband and I both went in for basic cleaning. Dr. Farrkh and team explained everything, did not push unnecessary work, but did find a tooth that needed a crown (it was being watched by previous dentist.) Scheduled that, for today. Dr. Farrkh was, respectfully sensitive about my anxiety (not condescending). She made sure I was comfortably numb, let me know how the drilling was going, gave me breaks. The crown was made while I waited, it needed a slight adjustment, and she fixed it right away (no "Let's see how it is after a few days.") I was unsure about switching loyalty to a new dentist, but not anymore. I highly recommend Dr. Farrkh. read more

Sorry I had to give them 1 star but there wasn't a no star option... Don't waste your time or your money! I worked in the dental (front as well as back office) and insurance fields so I have no problem understanding how fee schedules apply to the billing, the insurance coding and how the deductible is applied. What I do not understand is why this company does not bill according to their contract with the insurance company, add on so many non covered charges, and try to upsell patients with items they know are not covered? I called my insurance and went over each code, dollar billed and the amounts that would be covered including what our out of pocket expenses would be. Valley Modern Dentist tried to over charge my husband almost $450 not including their choices and alternative fees. CAREFULLY read their financial arrangement paperwork under "I have read this document and agree to the costs and terms" items 2-5 and Authorize/Financially responsible portion items #2-4. If you just sign you will be putting yourself in financial jeopardy whether or not they billed you properly. You do not have to agree to these statements - just cross them out with a pen. read more
