I can't even rate these losers! I just paid them $30 to hard hit me credit. The Agent spent an hour picking apart my credit report over outdated issues, then ran an internet search of my name, made 3 Phone calls where not once was a potential renters reference made let alone discussed. They don't have any real resourceful options. No client list of apartments they work with to refer you to. She looked on the Internet to find the 2 ridiculous rental adds she showed me, which I could've done myself and saved $30 . I was merely tricked out of money and received no service and my credit will suffer the hard hit for nothing. I had used them before so immediately thought of them after a extremely bad credit record aged off of my report. Unfortunately, I found that they were no longer as consistent in their service as I had previously experienced. They would say that they would call or email me after I reached-out to them, and a day or two would pass before I heard from them. I even tried switching-up the person whom was my contact in their office with someone else there, but got the same unaccountability. They would just kind of take turns deferring my inquiries to the other. A week and a half had passed and they still had not run my credit to even see whether or not they would be able to help me... and this was after I paid the little $20 fee. Don't wasted your time and money! We were originally referred to Chris who gave us the assurance that we are in good hands and we had alot of options even with our credit situation. But due to Chris having to leave out of state, Mary picked up our case. From the start Mary made us feel like a lost cause. Our credit is bad, but prior to us going to them, we actually did find a few apartments that said that they were willing to work with our credit. We just wanted to see if they would have better places than our personal searches. She gave us only ONE apartment to view that was past the budget that we gave her. When we asked her for another one, she suggested a 1 bedroom (there's 4 of us!) And to look into Craigslist...Wtf. So she either has limited listings (which means your better off searching on your own) ,she is inexperienced or she just didn't want to help us. I was recently searching for places to move in the Tempe and Chandler area and had no luck my credit score isn't the best so I was really discouraged. But my wife and I contacted Mark with Valley King and he pointed us the right direction!! We found a place within our means and it's a great school district for my son!! We didn't pay a fee or fill out an application we contacted him letting him know our situation and he sent us a list of property management companies that would work with us. We put Mark with Valley King as the person that referred us and we were approved the next day after we applied. Also I believe his name was Mike made it seem like after their credit check, I didn't have to do another one with the apartments he chose for me. This place was no help whatsoever. They advertise that they can help you find a place even with bad credit and or possible background issues but that is a lie. They're pretty useless. The recovering attics that they have helping you are hopeless. They'll tell you they won't be able to find anything for you and that you should basically give up finding an apartment in az. Lol. Good thing I'm extremely optimistic and pretty confident with all my years of rental experience that I'll find a home. I really don't see the purpose of this business. They advertise that they are specifically for bad credit and record help but then they act like they have no connections with apartment agencies to accommodate these things. Barbara Gott was so helpful to me. She really helped me more than anyone, and I thought I'd never be able to find a place. She never stopped working until she found me something, even though I had rental debt. She didn't judge me or take advantage of me, and she found a new way every time I became frustrated and sad. Barb is very realistic, and she is so down-to-earth, completely knowledgeable about the housing program I presented, and what she didn't already know, she was willing to learn. Barbara also maintained communication with me, and beyond that, she is so encouraging. First I talked to Mike who was super helpful over the phone and once I came in knew the game plan, knowing I had an hour and half before they closed, helped within an hour to find the right place for me with Shane and both were more than helpful not just during hours but after in their own personal time taken out of their day to send me a text to make sure the process was going smoothly and within one day I was approved for a beautiful apartment in my price range and a great location which were the two most important factors for me! 10/10 recommend valley king properties if you're having trouble looking for a place! read more

The agent told me that if I spend more I get something better n more of what really like. I told her briefly what my experience was at the Mesa office n told her that im not willing to be mistreated again. He texted to remind me to get one the following Monday, however he told me to tell them that I wanted them to put that I work 45 hours instead of forty because he said I didn't make enough money. He wanted me to get my job to lie so I qualify for an apartment I DON'T have the money for. Not only is this not cool because realistically had I done that and qualified, I wouldn't be able to afford the place I hypothetically could end up getting. After a bankruptcy, I feel like that would put me in a place where I set myself up to fail. Secondly, that's illegal. Then, when I did supply the truthful offer letter, he couldn't even read it! He assumed after we had a conversation that I make 40 bucks an hour. I WISH I MADE THAT MUCH. I had to explain to him that those were my hours, not my pay rate, not once but TWICE. And then he told me I needed a co-signer. I don't need a co-signer. My credit is decent and all I have is a bankruptcy! I've looked at apartments online on their websites and if I didn't have a bankruptcy, they'd take me in a heartbeat. I qualify for the initial amount I told Shane. I fired him after that. read more

coming to this valley king was the WORSE experience and i wouldn't recommend going here. mary is absolutely unprofessional. i originally found some apartments online, but didn't know if i would get approved. i contacted valley king not knowing they would send me to the same apts. instead of putting mary on my application i put i found the apartments online, which originally i did. once i did that i get a rude text message from mary calling me a liar instead of first asking what the issue was. then she goes on to say my lying will get me where i deserve in life. like really is this how you talk to your customers? read more
