After waiting two and half months for our brand new 2011 Honda CRV SE to come in, our new car was ready for pick up. We left with the car with out looking it over. When we got home we looked over the vehicle and found it to be covered in scratches both on the inside and out. There was also a chip on the outside along with a chip on the inside near the gearshift. I called immediately to inform them of the problem and was told to come back and let them look at it. I called and spoke to the service manager Dale Callander who referred me to another sales manger. The sales manager, whose name is Andy Sperber, called me back the next day. He was very hostile and said all new vehicles come this way. I asked that he replace the car with a new CRV and he laughed saying that that was an unreasonable request. I asked him to take the vehicle back and he said no that that as well. He said all they were willing to do was look at the vehicle and try to fix it. I told him a brand new car should not need bodywork. He then told me that if I went through any other avenues to deal with this situation, "We would get no where." I called Honda corporate and they said there was nothing they could do because all dealerships are privately owned. We took the vehicle back and informed Andy that in additional to the body damage on the inside and out, and that our power locks were also not working properly. We told him they worked Saturday, stopped working on Sunday, and didn't start working again until Tuesday evening. His response was "are they working now?" We said yes. He then said, "Well, how do you expect me to fix something that isn't broken?" I told him to please at least look at them since it seemed to be an issue with a bad fuse. He repeated again, "how do you expect me to fix something that isn't broken?" Andy placed tape all around the vehicle where the damage was at and said that if he did this for every new vehicle he sold his service department wouldn't be able to keep up. When I informed him that this was the third new vehicle I've owned and I've never had this problem he laughed at me. Andy gave us a loaner vehicle to use and told us he would call the next day, September 14th, to let us know how everything was going. A week later we finally heard back. When we went to pick up the vehicle, it looked even worse. They did a sloppy job trying to fix the large chip on the molding of the driver's side door; there were new scratches, and a new nick on the dashboard. The molding had a shiny material placed on it, it looked like it was buffed, and before it was dry one of their technicians must have swiped it with his fingernail. And after the mess they made, the chip was STILL THERE! I refused to take the vehicle. Another salesman told me that there was no manager there that day for me to speak with. When I informed him that I was not leaving until I spoke to one, Dale the service manager appeared. I guess he was there after all. He told me if they attempted to fix the chip any further it would just continue to look worse. My husband and I left the vehicle there again and demanded it be fixed properly. A day later I called and asked to speak to the owner and was told he wasn't available. I asked for his voicemail and was told it hadn't been set up yet. I asked when he would be back and was told they didn't know, that he was in Florida. My husband spoke to their general manager Steve Werksman and told him that the whole thing was a nightmare and how their staff acted very rude, hostile, confrontational and disrespectful to both him and I. Steve did not offer an apology. To add insult to injury, my husband said that it might be nice for them to upgrade the radio or speakers to try and make up for what they've done. Steve said NO, and added, "I am not going to just give money away." Stay away from Valley Honda. Unless you want a brand new vehicle that needs bodywork, repainted and the dashboard ripped out and replaced. Finally, we again drove an hour away from our home to pick up the vehicle. It is still far from what a brand new vehicle should look like, both inside and out. We finally brought our vehicle home today.There is still a large scratch on the hood, two more on a door, front bumper damage, and several other scratches on the inside and out. I recently found myself in the market for a newer model used CR-V Touring edition. Over the course of a week or two, I'd spoken to a number of dealers with them in stock and had a handful of frustrating calls and interactions for the most part. I then found myself at Valley Honda and had a really great experience. I'd spoken to the internet sales person earlier that week and he was helpful in answering some overall kinda general questions I had regarding the dealership, financing and trade valuation stuff and lastly questions regarding their stance on certified vs non. He was very helpful and after the call I did some more research looking into what they had in stock and decided to stop out later in the week when I was out that way. When I made it out over the weekend, I ran into a sales associate named Cedric as we both walked in the front door. Cedric became my go to guy throughout the entire process. I had a prior engagement that afternoon and wasn't sure we'd be able to make a deal that day if I liked anything they had, but was willing to start the process if I did like something and pick up where we left off a day or two later. Cedric was awesome, went out of his way to be respectful of my time while still getting me into three vehicles, including one I hadn't noticed originally and ultimately ended up buying. Treated me like a human being vs a dollar sign which I really appreciated. We ran out of time that afternoon to finish the deal, but picked it up first thing Monday morning with minimal back and forth. He and I were able to do most of the process over the phone and internet with me coming in that evening to sign and drive off in my new wheels! The prices were honestly pretty great, the trade was fair and everyone I met and dealt with at the dealership was excellent and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. No one had that bad car used salesman vibe or stereotype in play. They were awesome and made an experience I was kinda dreading a breeze. I received my first email from Jason early the next morning and by the end of the day we were able to reach agreement on the sale of a 2013 Honda CRV EX-L with Navigation that had ever feature available at the most competitive price possible. I arranged to met him the next day to finalize the transaction and within 30 minutes of my arrival, Jason was able to work with his finance office to obtain a lower interest rate directly through Honda Financial Services. I have been shopping for a vehicle for a while now and sent out online requests for multiple makes and models. What made me choose Valley Honda was that when I made an inquiry on a vehicle there, I received a prompt and curteous email response from 1 person, and when He was not pushy at all. I received one follow up after our initial communication to see if I was still interested and I said I would contact them once my decision was made. During my decsion making process and quest for the best financing, I received several calls and emails from other dealers that were being quite aggressive, but not from Valley. Arrived at 5:20 for a 5:30 express appointment. Was there for the skid plate underneath my 2017 Honda Civic that was not re attached when I got my inspection earlier in the month. It was scraping the pavement every time I hit a bump while on vacation (which is how I noticed it). I called in and the girl told me to come in after work today because they close at 6. Said she got approval for an express visit for this to get done. It is now an hour later and "Jerry" is not too concerned with my time waiting. Steve was very appreciative of my time and they now have my car in. Again this issue was not my doing. I am very disappointed with their lack of concern for their own mistake. Visited Valley Honda in January 2015 with a regular service appointment for a 2010 Honda Civic. At that point, they were the highest rated in Pittsburgh. My car was fairly new in Honda standards (37,000mi) and had no major issues except needing new brake pads in the front. After the service personnel checked my car, they suggested I get the transmission fluid replaced. Which I agreed to. One year later, my car starts pulsating each time I brake-- I failed inspection following cycle due to faulty brake pads. The mechanic who reviewed the work told that the brake pads were badly replaced, with some sort of grease/lube spilling over the pads. I had to spend addition $$$ to get them replaced and pass the test. So, there goes my trust! read more

I usually like to buy a new car every four to five years and I decided after many years of being a Toyota Camry buyer to test drive a Honda Accord. I am glad that I made the choice, the 6 cylinder model has a ton of power and then I decided this was my new vehicle. The place was busy so I dealt with two different people Mike Black and Jeff Katchen who were great. Between both of them I know things about the vehicle that I needed to know and other stuff that I will never use but my wife will. Bought a CRV brand new from Terry on September 1, 2017. Called in April of 2018 with tire problems . . . wore out at 11,000 miles despite rotation. Spoke with service manager too. Got told to bring in so they could measure wear, despite them having measured a month earlier and being worn then. Then they would pro-rate. I live an hour away so not convenient to drive there to have tires measured . . . a 2 minute job. Upset called Terry again and was told: "He would go to bat for me." Never heard from him again.
