I made it crystal clear that this was a RESIDENTIAL application. Joseph indicated no problem, they could absolutely handle it. I made 2 appointments...the first to deactivate the system and to repair the leak, and the second to return 24 hours later to re-activate it. I took 2 days off work, moved several cars so they could have access to the ceiling, and scheduled a contractor to repair the ceiling hole access afterwards. When the day of the appointment rolled around, I received a text from Joseph 15 minutes AFTER the appointed time, saying that they were not coming to do the job. Apparently they were not insured for residential work after all. He did take ownership of the mistake, for which I will give him credit. But if you want a dependable company that does what they say they are going to do....find someone else.

Anyway, he offered to replace all my sprinklers on top of replacing the leaking one. His crews work was fantastic!!! They were the best people you could interact with and very professional. I detected a leak from one of their sprinklers about a week later and they came over immediately and fixed it. About a month later I discovered a leak, and again called them around 5pm I think (I live in the Bay Area), and by 7pm!!! their technician "James", was at our home working on the problem. He discovered it was not a sprinkler problem, rather I had a leaking roof. He was right and the roof company has fixed that problem. Follow up service at 7pm driving from Modesto to the Bay Area!!! I've been a happy customer of Matson Alarm for over 10 years and very little need to contact them…read more So I was surprised to hear they are under new ownership as of last month and I see some changes that prompted me to call. Also I needed service on my system. The technician although very kind I didn't quite understand what he was doing. I can't even explain it. Apparently my system is too old and something something I couldn't follow him but finally rescheduled due to parts he needed to order. He gave me a price and it willl only take 30 minutes. He arrives at our next visit and can't remember why he's at my home. Since he doesn't know why he's here he didn't pick up the parts he ordered to complete the job so he leaves and returns. He tells me he's scheduled to be here 3 hours (What happened to 30 minutes)! Exactly 3 hrs he's done rushing out the door but the system is not connecting to my phone app and I can't confirm it's fixed but he's done and left! I get the invoice for this service and it's double the amount he quoted. I called the billing department and they adjusted the invoice. I hope this is not the new way of business with Matson.

We had a recent break-in at our business which was "supposedly" protected by Matson Alarm. Come to find out that they hadn't been receiving signal from our equipment "for quite some time." They couldn't tell me when the last time they received signal was, nor did they ever reach out to check. Yet they continue to collect my monthly service fee!!!! We never had a rep come out when they were purchased by another company, nor has anyone ever reached out to even see if we should upgrade. We have had service since 2018! We've switched to Brinx, got all new equipment, an app to set and track the alarm and the monthly fee is the same!
