I can't speak highly enough of Efrem Taylor of Taylor Made Tile. You will not find a more…read moreprofessional, or reliable craftsman around. A little backstory, I had a bad leak in my shower pan, to the point I thought there may be serious damage so I involved my homeowners insurance company. They sent an inspector out who said there was cracked grout, but he felt there was probably an underlying cause that needed to be fixed. So I called 3 tile contractors. The first two just said it was only cracked grout, and they'd fix it by re-grouting. Efrem gave his opinion, and it was exactly what the inspector had said, he anticipated an underlying problem. He won my trust with that honesty. He also made a point of explaining it would be a bit of lengthy process, he'd have to make 4 trips to do it in phases, but ultimately, he assured me by doing it this way, it would be a permanent fix rather than a quick patch. Every day wheb he said he'd be at my house at a specific time, he was there. All totaled, he was there 4 days in a row, the demolition took about an hour, putting a liner in (there wasn't one in the original shower pan which contributed to the leaking) and sealing it took an hour, he then tested it overnight to ensure the leak was fixed (it was) and then he laid the mud down which took an hour. He came back 3rd time to put another seal on over the mud for good measure, and then the final part was the tile and grout which took an hour or so. Couldn't be more pleased with the work.

His work is amazing, really straight cuts, great symmetry and even installs, and really know how to make some beautiful designs too. Efrem does really great demo and is respectful and reasonably priced. He cleans up after his jobs too and I always appreciate when he comes over and how he is with my kids and family. Efrem has no internet presence, he works by referral. When I bought my flooring at Robinson's Flooring, he was the installer. He gets all his work from people who use him because he's one of the best in Fresno. I can't keep him a secret, and it would be selfish to keep this jewel of a contractor under wraps - so I'm proud to the be one to put him on Yelp and sing his praises. Great work Efrem!

What I can tell you is he is the most honest and fair price in town. Looking for years of expertise? He's got it. Looking for someone who stays in communication throughout the project (and not just when they closing the deal)? Yup that's him. Antonio and his team show a level of professionalism while still being down to Earth that is simply a joy to work with. I can't tell you how many contractors we have used in the past that simply don't show up, overcharge by factors 2 or 3 times the going rate, or simply just "drop off" once a project gets started. If you are wanting to avoid this, go with Nu Flooring. They are worth every penny. As a special thank you and recognition for Antonio, I am including the extra mile he went for my wife and I. The long story short, is my wife and I wanted new flooring throughout the majority of our house (~2200 sq ft). We chose a product we were happy with and Antonio quickly finished the job. Unfortunately, the product had a defect that caused a "crackle/snapping" sound when stepped on. While most contractors would have cut loose and ran, Antonio stayed and helped us navigate the entire warranty process. Keep in mind, this process took numerous months to complete with dozens of hoops to jump through. Never during the entire time did Antonio ignore my call or give up on our project. In the end, the warranty was approved and his team laid down our entire house once again. As expected, the floor came out beautifully with no issues what so ever. From budget to timing, Antonio and his team came through just as promised. I can honestly say there are very few contractors that I trust (as I have worked with a lot of them in town). And if you are like me, trust and communication is the highest quality to find when looking to start a project with someone. Rest assured, when it comes to any flooring project, Nu Flooring has me as a customer for life!
