All we needed was a drawer from our bathroom repaired. Should be easy work for a carpenter. He had all the pieces given to him. He even sent a picture of a large piece of wood he was going to use to rebuild the drawer, the piece was Way larger than the job called for. His cost for the job was $200. My wife agreed, He required $100 to get started. He met her the next day with the drawer, but it wouldn't fit because he used all the original water damaged wood pieces. They were swollen so the drawer didn't fit. He then said he and I quote, "I don't have a tape measure, so I need to take one of the other drawers with me, & it's going to cost $400", $200 more than his original quote & requested another $100 down. So as a side note, he used no new wood, (so why send a pic of wood he didn't plan on using) & attempted to rebuild the drawer with damaged wood & charge $200 more. Reluctantly my wife paid him $50 to just do what he promised (so $150 total given) and he would finish & install the next day As I saw him walk behind my truck in my rear view mirror, because I was sitting in my truck awaiting his arrival, I opened my truck door & called him by his name, he never stopped or slowed down, because my tenant was at the door, he thought he could ignore my calls to him. He was in such a rush to get upstairs with the repaired drawer & other drawer he took to make his measurements. Once he was done, he tried leaving, as I was calling out his name. He comes back & the first thing out his mouth was, is there a problem? This was by far the most unprofessional simple job I've had done. He eyeballs his jobs, doesn't measure, as I've seen in other complaints about his work, & the drawer did contain new wood this time, but it wasn't square, thus it didn't close flush. It had glue, staples, & gaps, so no adjustments could be made. I see now why he was trying to install, & then run downstairs to try and collect. He tried to go back in the house to make adjustments with a couple of screwdrivers , but I refused entry & paid him a final $50. That's $200 total for a poorly constructed drawer, that I will have to pay a professional to repair his poor quality work. I'm expecting him to reply to this post with a rebuttal of how he did everything right, & how I lost my temper at him. That seems to be his M.O. then have a bunch of fake 5 star reviews to follow, so this review gets buried. I would not take this time to write all of this & attach photos if this was not accurate. We were threatened with a mechanical lien just like his other clients, & he took a photo of the drawer he didn't repair as proof he did an acceptable job, but there was nothing wrong with that drawer. read more

We used Fresno Craftsman for water damage. Sean Willis responded quickly. He was professional and fixed our problem with as little stress as possible. Fresno Craftsman suggested we get tests so that we could sleep worry free from asbestos and black mold. Fresno Craftsman has been around a long time, Sean Willis made one of the coolest commercials I have ever seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBj4TpPQUnY read more

Very professional. Showed up on time. Did the job for slightly under budget. Friendly man whom I enjoyed shooting the breeze with. It was over all a pleasant experience. read more

Sean is a crook, thief, fraud,he said he could rebuild my house for the amount of the insurance money. Not only did he not, he did crappy work, abandoned the job only 50% done at best, but not until he took all the money. He would lie what he needed the money for & was putting it in his pocket, when he got it all, he was gone. He even admitted taking 50%,but that wasn't the agreement. He lies & makes excuses, fabricates stories, he's a narcissist. And a low bottom feeder to do this. He will do & say anything to try to get out of paying what he owes. He knows exactly what he did & planned it from the start. I do NOT recommend him at all. If you did hire him make sure his license is valid, check everything. But i wouldn't give him the opportunity. He's a piece of ....and thinks he's better than everybody&thinks its ok to do what he did. He says "we" , "us" when talking about his company, he's the only one. That trailer he carries some equiptment in, he bought with OUR money that he stole. & all his tools. He left burnt rafters, cut excessive holes in the roof, never told you when inspectors were coming, therfore you never saw the correction notices, he does whatever the hell he wants, he stole a lot of materials, tried to fake a burglary which he hasn't a police report for, there's so many things there's not enough room to write. The guy doesn't have a conscience, he doesn't care what he did to us, all he cares about is getting all your money. We even had him for Christmas and this is how he does us. Unbelievable! I wouldn't even give him 1 star. & he pays for all his fake advertisements. And he throws away all your things.. read more

Sean Willis with Fresno Craftsman is a scoundrel and we had the serious displeasure of engaging him to remodel our kitchen before we sold our home. In early April we called Sean to schedule a remodel which was scheduled for 5/1 - he said this would be a 2 day job. Over the course of the next 4 days, Sean showed up sporadically at best, worked for 1-2 hours and then would disappear for hours at a time if not for the remainder of the day entirely. He was frequently unprepared(seriously didn't bring grout to a tile job?), damaged our property(cabinetry, walls and my wife's landscaping), and frankly didn't finish the work. He wasted an entire 9ft of countertop because he tried to eyeball the cutout for the kitchen sink instead of using the template it shipped with. There were holes left in the walls, pieces of cabinetry broken and not fixed, all demo and debris materials left in our yard, and the plumbing job he did was riddled with numerous leaks. Additionally, he didn't even seal the sink with silicone, and when I asked him.about it he said I'd need to get a tube of silicone at the store and do it myself. On 5/4 he left with the work incomplete. To say that he half-assed the job would be an understatement. We were very open with Sean in early April as to what the work would entail and what the timeline needed to be and he assured us it would be no trouble and should be able to be completed quickly and easily. We attempted to check in regularly to confirm timelines and he was adamant that he could do the work. When he left the job he told my wife, "Sorry, but that's what happens when you have to slam it out." There should've been no slamming or rushing whatsoever, this 2 afternoon job turned into 4 days with half the work complete at best. Additionally, Sean tried to charge an additional $1,000 over his estimate with no justification. Sean knew we needed this project completed before 5/5 as that was the day we would be photographing and listing our house. He left the backyard a disaster with debris and demolition materials everywhere, as well as ruined many of my wife's plants. The pictures speak for themselves. Sean Willis is a bad contractor and we absolutely will not be working with him any longer. I will be filing complaints with the BBB as well as the California State Licensing Board. UPDATE: After posting this review, Sean Willis began texting my wife incessantly all morning. He was adamant that we take down the pictures from this review because it reflected poorly on his business and implied that he did not finish work. Later that day, Sean showed up at our house banging on the front door, then entered the backyard of our home and began banging on the back door to be let in. After about 10 minutes he left and we've not heard from him since. The pictures here speak for themselves and do more justice to the travesty of a job Sean did for us than any number of words could describe which is why he so desperately wants them taken down - so much so that he was willing to trespass on our property. Clearly he feels some type of way about the quality of work he did here now that it's publicly available, but he certainly doesn't feel that guilty considering he cashed our check last week. read more

I have been talking with Sean for the last 2 weeks regarding a custom made Podiums for my service department. I tried many people and I found out that most of these people are flakes and unreliable. I can't wait to see the finished work that Sean will without a doubt do the fantastic job that would fit my needs and budget. read more

I called Fresno Craftsman to repair my front porch. Very poor job and was only half done. They didn't replace all of the rotten boards as I asked and only slightly primed the new boards. They never did put a coat of paint on. They left big gaps between boards and never bothered to caulk to keep the water out. I had other jobs I wanted done but after this, I will be getting someone else to do my remodeling. I strongly do not recommend them for repairs. I wouldn't of give them the one star but had to have it to post. read more
