Turns out the batteries were dead. Wasn't quite sure what to do, went to GameQor and the guys there sent me over to Abel at Nexgen. (By the way, GameQor kicks butt too.) I probably could have done it myself, but I didn't want to chance losing my 24 year old Pokemon and hundreds of hours logged to shaky hands and liquid metal. So Abel had me come in and drop the games off. Got them back and they worked perfectly! Better than before! Pulled the cartridge apart to check the work and they were both perfection. *chefs kiss. Don't read the 1 star reviews. Can't please everyone. Thanks again guys! Whatever tech I need worked on in the future is going straight to them, no doubt!

My desktop computer died two weeks ago. She was getting old. I think it was 1917 (woops! 2017; I'm…read moregetting old.) when I purchased her and some of her parts were failing. I sat down at the computer, pushed the power button and nothing happened. I mean NOTHING happened! So I went to Cal Tech to let "tech support" look at it. (my grandson is no longer available.) Mason advised I just replace my tower, so I took myself and my credit card to Best Buy where I purchased a lenovo computer CPU that looks like a tiny spaceship. I took the new "little guy" and the tower of the old computer back to Cal Tech. Mason efficiently moved my data to the "little guy", and did so at a reasonable price. After a brief hello and sharing of what the issue I had been experiencing, Nick begins talking in a voice volume louder than I was expecting. He gave me the, "I've been doing this for more than blah, blah, years and...." Wow. Okay. I trust that you know what you are doing but did you have to start the attitude with me at 9:30 in the morning? He reiterated the prices the 1-800 person told me on the phone and then stopped talking and looked at me. He didn't ask me a question, so I didn't answer. Impatiently he then says, "okay?" I nod. After I sign on the dotted line and Nick prints, I was going to ask him if he was okay. But a male customer walked in and I figured I should keep my question to myself for now. I said thank you and out I walked. Feeling shaken and confused and hoping he wouldn't be there when I picked up my laptop in a week. One week later: received a call that my laptop was done. Confirmed with my husband that he was available to go with me to pick it up. Walked in the shop and was welcomed by Nick, though this wasn't the same Nick I experienced a week ago. This Nick was friendly and cheerful. Service done.
