I took lessons from Rain and Robert - they are both very good instructors. They are both gentle and nice, and taught me really well about how to drive safely. They also clarified my questions I had for flow of traffic , intersection, reference point and road rules. I also like the fact that they are consistent with the car they drive -so even when I was with different instructor, I was able to drive consistently. The administration was also fast and efficient. I can pay the lesson via cheque or email transfer and I can can easily book lessons via text or email.

The smell alone makes it hard to focus, which is kind of important when you're trying to learn how to drive safely. You're stuck in this enclosed space, already nervous, and instead of feeling calm or supported, you're just trying to ignore how unpleasant it is to even be there. Then there's the actual "teaching." Brett constantly uses the gas and brake pedals on his side, which completely defeats the purpose of learning. You never get a proper feel for the car because he's basically driving for you half the time. It makes you second guess everything and kills any confidence you're supposed to be building. What really stands out though is his behavior on the road. It's honestly shocking. He freaks out at other drivers over the smallest things, has terrible manners, and creates a tense, stressful environment instead of a safe learning space. I've seen and heard enough to understand why so many people say he'll flip off other drivers, then immediately deny it, twist the story, and escalate things by talking about calling the cops. There's a constant pattern of him saying one thing and then completely contradicting himself minutes later, which just adds to how uncomfortable the whole experience is. Driving lessons are supposed to make you feel more confident and prepared. Instead, this felt like being trapped in a car with someone who shouldn't be teaching at all. The worst part isn't even the driving, it's just having to sit there and deal with the entire experience. Honestly, I would not recommend iWay Driving School to anyone. There are far better instructors out there who actually know how to teach and treat people with basic respect. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR MONEY!

This school took over $12,000 for my Long Haul Class 1 and they can not / will not supply my remaining pre-paid driving hours or a refund !! Since my lesson of October 12/21 and only after threatening to notify both the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and commence legal action for not allowing training of these prepaid hours I've again waited another 7.5 weeks only to receive 2 short lessons THIS IS NOT COMMERCIAL TRUCK TRAINING AT ALL I'm still owed around 60 hours, with them refusing any driving time or refund THIS IS NOT AT ALL WHAT I had PREPAID FOR, OR WAS PROMISED TO RECEIVE AS A STUDENT OF NORTH SHORE DRIVING SCHOOL !! Then doing a break tug, examiner knew it wasn't latched properly, Dangerous move, automatic fail Because of this, I must now take the FULL MELT COURSE with zero hours credited elsewhere North Shore Driving Schools position is that you failed the driving test and we are not currently offering the MELT Program so there is nothing more we can do for you It's my position, they are the reason I failed in the first place by creating among other thing a hostile training environment. Secondly why can't I still train with my pre-paid driving hours or have them refunded ? A further $12,000 later, I've signing up for MELT at a different, much more organized MELT Driving School I will be starting in the New Year Truth be told they have no qualified instructors to work with them to let the crappy one of two go It's my opinion the trucks are both unsafe and in need of serious repair This is on top of all the other things I've mentioned going on at North Shore Driving Schools From what I understand they were again getting evicted from their parking lot and very close to bankruptcy NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY ARE FOR SALE Good luck with that !! I am telling this from my first hand experience as I just finished my basic training with them which covers motorcycle skills test after knowledge test. Basically they prepare you for road test with notes and hands on practice. There are industry experienced instructors who have gone to driving schools and have tons of experience learning and teaching. School has its own private lot to practice manoeuvre skills,braking,slow shifting etc. 2 days of theory class followed by 2 days lot training and 2 days on road. Isn't it worth $895.00 (Approximate fee for basic training ) Very well equipped facility with washrooms and small kitchenette. Enough gear for rain n safety. Chris ,Tony and all others are very helpful. Teaching style,patience and vast knowledge of biking world makes Chris an outstanding instructor. Christine,the administrator is also very helpful. In fact she can help u getting a road test date earlier then general public. Oh yah, a pacific ridibg t-shirt as a swag on last day. How Cool !!! I can just go on and on but enough for now.
