(I had failed the road test part a month earlier using another driving school's vehicle.) I spent some of that hour familiarizing myself with their passenger van and then about 20 minutes driving it around the road test route area with Farooq before we arrived at the PoCo ICBC, which is conveniently only about five minutes from the school. (Skip operates the business from his home, but don't let that influence your decision about whether to use their services--they've got a fleet of nice vehicles.) I had failed the road test a month earlier, in part because I didn't prepare adequately for the driving part of the test (I did pass the pre-trip inspection part, though) and in part because the van I used from the other school was a bit of a beater with a totally inadequate defrost that wouldn't defog the windows, which proved to be a significant distraction because it poured cats and dogs that day. Skip's van, on the other hand, is almost brand new and feels/performs like a charm. Even though it is longer than the other school's, it felt like I was driving a car, not a beast. That allowed me to concentrate entirely on the skills and I passed with flying colours.

It is not surprising that he would write a positive review for himself under the name "Keith A." As for his certifications and experience, I give him credibility for that; however, almost every instructor you will find has their ICBC certification and claim they have atleast 10 years of experience. There are certainly better instructors availabe, who offer more affordable and quality lessons with greater patience and care. It has been a week since I have passed my road test under the training of another instructor at "Bestway" driving school. I could not have been more pleased with this chnage.

When my son started in car lessons he found the instructor harsh and uncaring. He's a nervous driver anyway so this certainly didn't help. We decided to take a break so he could practice on his own for a while hoping some time and confidence would help the situation with the instructor. He's just gone back and it was the same instructor and she was awful to him! Yelled and made him feel terrible. He called to ask to be switched to someone else but was told she was the only instructor. I decided to call myself and have been on hold *two hours* trying to talk to someone! If I had known this company had deteriorated to this point I never would have spent the massive amount of money so my son could feel more confident in his driving! Look elsewhere for support in teaching your kids to drive, you won't get it here.

I was terrified to drive, had driving instructors who were careless and didn't care if I passed or failed and just wanted the money. Nahed truly cares of all her students and will go above and beyond to make sure you gain the confidence in yourself that you need to drive. I passed my test first try (literally ever) and got my N. She's very flexible with her bookings and was able to accommodate me being a stay at home mom who has to get help from family to babysit my son.
