As a new mom, I knew I had to get back on the road. I had lost my confidence after getting into an accident and I avoided driving, actually, I was afraid of it. After calling around to a few places for driving lessons, I by chance saw a blog post Perry had written about the kinds of students he teaches. I liked how open he was to all sorts of students. I called right away and am I ever glad that I did. He didn't even flinch at my story, in fact, he thought it was quite normal. What a gift! That was the first step to getting me back behind the wheel. I took 8 refresher lessons with Perry and it was like driving with an old friend. He shared stories, rules of the road, suggestions and was always calm, patient, positive and made sure to comment on things I did well, as well as how I could do things differently. I looked forward to my lessons and each week was eager to try a new aspect of driving, i.e. highway/parallel parking/west end/city driving. He was very flexible with scheduling as I could only get childcare for a few hours on the weekend and nothing short of professional, friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. I feel a debt of gratitude to Perry and New Day Driving School. It's wonderful to be on the road again. Thank you, Perry! read more

My partner had been taking lessons with Perry regularly and was notably improving each time. I still had my new driver's license and wanted to get my full license. I am a self taught driver and wanted to get a lesson prior to taking the test to find out what I didn't know and what I needed to improve on. Perry is a gem! He is very calm and is an excellent communicator. We covered everything in an hour and twenty minutes time. The car is basic, clean, and easy to use. We went over the area in which I would be tested. He is a master of his work and deserves many thanks from my partner and myself. I have recommended Perry to many of my friends who have then gone on to take lessons with him. Most of them like me going from N-Full, but some like my partner are looking to get their new driver's license. They have all passed too! Thank you Perry! I passed my test with a handshake front he tester and a "Great Job!" written on my test. You really know what your doing Perry thanks! read more

I found Perry through an internet search and I could not be happier with my instructor. Highly recommend him! Perry is very patient and thorough as an instructor. I found his rates to be highly reasonable and he was able to pick me up from my home (which not a lot of driving schools do but they require that you meet them at a busy intersection). I took a number of driving lessons with Perry so I could feel confident in my road test (which I was nervous for). I passed the road test with my first try! Perry showed me common road test routes (I did my exam at Pt Grey office) and outlined common mistakes that students make on the routes. I don't think I could have been more prepared for my exam in all honesty. Also, I found him to be very diligent about responding to emails and texts. He was also flexible when I had to re-schedule appointments too. He is a busy and popular instructor so make sure you contact him with enough notice so he can accommodate your schedule. read more

We feel very fortunate to have found Perry Lamarch at New Day Driving school. Simply put, he's an all-round excellent instructor. Super knowledgeable and patient, and also encouraging. I aced my road test because of New Day Driving School. I had long put off getting my license due to anxiety about failing tests and lack of confidence. Perry immediately made me feel at ease and seemed to know exactly how best to help me for the highest chances of success. He guided me along several ICBC road test routes until all that he had taught me was second nature. Perry gave me plenty of positive feedback and corrected any mistakes in a kind and supportive manner. Being a former ICBC examiner, he also showed me how a road test is graded and gave me plenty of other valuable tips to help me pass. I felt I could ask him anything without judgment and he was eager to share his extensive knowledge. I would recommend New Day Driving School to anybody. Thanks Perry, you are awesome! read more

I had some previous driving experience from overseas and needed to pass my Class 5 test here in Canada to get back on the road after a few years of not driving at all. Perry was a great instructor, very knowledgeable , very practical , focusing on the things you really needed to know . I liked his approach as a teacher. He had great knowledge of the point grey exam route which helped me on test day as I was taken to all the hot spots we had practiced. He also gave me the confidence I needed , after not driving for a few years I wasn't sure how I was as a driver - he told me when I did things well and gave me constructive feedback when I made mistakes or missed something. always on time and very responsive. I passed my test . would definitely recommend him read more

Perry is an excellent instructor. I managed to pass my class 7 test in only five lessons with no previous driving experience. Whilst the number of lessons needed will differ for others, I certainly feel his ability to make his students feel at ease really helps to develop their confidence on the road quickly. I echo the previous comments regarding his patience and constructive feedback, whilst his knowledge of the Point Grey area helps you build a great understanding of all the tricky intersections and turns to prepare you for your test. I'm surprised no one has mentioned his prices because they seem to be the best around. Excellent value for money, a great instructor and an all-round nice guy. Thank Perry! read more

Perry is without a doubt, the best driving teacher in Vancouver! He is meticulous on his method, very attentive, present and a great conductor! The reason I say that is because he sees the best in his students and brings out each individual potential respecting the personality, background and uniqueness. Besides being a great teacher, he is also a wonderful human being! I had other driving teachers but Perry is by far the best teacher in Vancouver. I hope he will teach my kids in a few years. I Highly recommend New Day Driving School! No need to say that after a few lessons, I passed my test! : ) read more

Perry from New Day Driving is an excellent driving instructor! I waited several years to take my exam and I did have some nervousness about learning how to drive, especially in Vancouver. Right from the get-go Perry was friendly, professional, and made learning how to drive both simple and enjoyable. Knowing that Perry has been in the industry for several years now was an excellent addition to an already great fit. It is obvious that Perry invests a lot in his students and wants them to succeed. Thanks to Perry and New Day Driving, I was able to pass my road test! Thank you!!! read more

Taking lessons with Perry at New Day Driving School was worth every penny. Previous to my lessons I was extremely inexperienced as a driver and was quite nervous. In addition to this I had a road text booked at point grey coming up in a month. Perry helped me to become a confident, relaxed driver. He was clear in his direction and always very calm. He showed me all of the little quirks of the point grey area. After just five lessons I was beyond ready for my test. I couldn't have done it without Perry! It was reasonably priced and extremely helpful! read more
