"I Highly recommend RainCity Driving School! I am extremely happy that I made the right choice by choosing them. I took my N test last friday, and I passed my road test . A big thanks to Ate Roanne for Scheduling my in-car lessons based on my hectic schedule was a smooth process and fast to respond. She is sweet, friendly and she also cares about their students. I had Edgar as my first instructor and then later Doel. They really helped me to build my confidence on the road and helping me to overcome my nervousness. Both of them are absolutely professionals, honest, patient ,organized and responsive. I am thankful for both of them, for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. I've gained new driving strategies and techniques, driving with discipline that helps me to be a safe driver on the road in different traffic conditions. Edgar and Doel are always on time. They were both very nice and helpful, very friendly and good listeners. They made my driving experience enjoyable and very supportive . A BIG THANK YOU Doel and Edgar you guys are absolutely amazing instructors. RainCity Driving School is the BEST! read more

RainCity Driving School is the real deal. Because of Rain / Rob's excellent teaching methods and stellar personalities, I went from Stressemus Maximus - having anxiety over driving (I was not even able to change lanes when I first started out) to actually looking forward to my lessons each week and passing my driving exam with flying colors today! Nothing short of a miracle. Both Rob and Rain are mindful of your comfort zone, while simultaneously pushing you to learn new skills and techniques. They made each lesson both fun and productive, and always offered alternative learning methods if something wasn't making sense the first time. Highly skilled, unbelievably patient & non-judgemental and all around wonderful human beings - I highly recommend RainCity Driving to any new driver or person looking to brush up on their skills. Rob and Rain: Thank you for all of the knowledge you've given me about driving, and all of the life lessons along the way. I'll miss you guys! read more

Before finding RainCity, I was learning from a different instructor. I didn't think I was progressing like I should be... That's what led me to RainCity. Once I found their website I booked a lesson with Robert Yan. I should mention I did have a problem with anxiety while driving, and especially test day. After just 2- 3 lessons with Robert I noticed a huge difference in my skill level and was becoming more confident/calm. His familiarity with the test route, parking tips, and overall friendly, encouraging demeanour enabled my once anxious self to earn an N. I seriously recommend them. These lessons combined with lots of personal practice will get you ready for test day! read more

I've had Ed and Rain as instructors. And speaking from experience, I've never had any driving lessons until them. But I've learned how to be defensive and observant, as well as confident in my driving. I've learned how to drive safe but also assertively. I've just passed my road test today. And I couldn't have done it without either of them. Ed knows how to make me feel at ease and has a knack for helping anyone pass. Rain's instruction is a little more structured but he's also just as patient and knows how to make people feel at ease. Both are good drivers but they also have this quality of being great teachers. I've had a great experience. Thanks for helping me pass. :) read more

Robert helped me go from being scared to move above 20kph on the inside streets to passing my N road test last week on the first try in the span of 4 months. He was always on time, cheerfully instructive, and celebrated my little driving milestones. His car has a separate set of breaks and accelerator where he sits. When I made mistakes he calmly corrected the car then explained what I should do in that situation. He was never flustered or angry and it's clear that he has a lot of experience teaching beginners. Since he was so encouraging, I was calm when driving and gained a lot of confidence. Also the online booking option was fantastic. Highly recommended. read more

Both Robert and Rain were excellent instructors. They've got a knack for giving calm and well-informed instructions in what must be a pretty stressful job overall. I passed my class 7 (N) driver's exam after taking 12-18 hours of lessons with Raincity driving school. With regards to the exam itself, I felt that the lessons I took put explicit emphasis on key information and techniques that were tested for. I'll probably ring them up again when I take my Class 5 exam in two years! Definitely would recommend a trial lesson at the least if you're on the lookout for instructors. read more

I'm so happy I came across RainCity Driving school. I was a nervous driver who had never driven before and didn't have a car to practice with on my own (even if I wanted to). Enter Rob. Rob was just a delight to drive with. It got to a point where I felt like our weekly lessons were more like weekly hang outs and I looked forward to them. He was patient, funny, and believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. I'm happy I have my N now but sad I won't see Rob anymore. I highly recommend RainCity to anyone who wants to learn how to drive. Miss ya Rob! read more

I'm a nervous new driver and I just passed my N road test on my second try. I had Robert as my instructor for almost a year. I was glad to find someone who is patient, friendly, and punctual. Rain and Robert were quite flexible with scheduling lessons and pick up locations which was great since I'm balancing full-time studies and working part-time. Robert is very responsive to text messages and very accommodating. I appreciate how Robert was thorough in his explanations/tips/advice and he answered all my questions even when I'm being repetitive haha. read more

I would recommend Raincity Driving School for driving lessons, whether you are new or for refresher courses. I had no experience with driving and through taking lessons with my main instructor Robert, as well as a couple with Rain and Dominic, I became more confident in my driving and learned a lot from their detailed advice and tips. They were also very patient and friendly. In the end, I was able to pass my N on the first try! Very happy with my experience and big thank you to Raincity Driving School! read more

Honestly, everyone at raincity driving is amazing. Even the lady who books the lessons is a pleasure to speak to. I had a lesson with rain, doel and Robert so I feel like I got a good judgement of the entire company haha. I was always a good driver but these guys each showed me things/tricks that Icbc instructors are looking for; things I didn't even know about. With their help I passed with flying colours.
