I've been selling Sollera (a.k.a. Columbia) cabinets for 10 years. Since 1991, our showroom has…read moreoffered many brands of cabinets but Sollera is by far the best. I have them in my own home as well so I can personally attest to the quality. They are very easy to design with. They are extremely customizable so I can make them fit into each of my clients spaces perfectly. Not only are they customizable by size (down to 1/16"), we can also do may custom features with them. You are practically getting custom cabinets but with a semi-custom price and a lifetime warranty! Not only are they easy to design with, but the quality is superior. Their painted and stained finishes are very durable and do not fail or scratch easily like some other reviews said. Not sure why they would say that. Our showroom sells over 100 kitchens a year with this brand and we rarely/never see warranty issues with finish. I would never want to carry a brand that had issues as that would just reflect poorly on our business. This brand really is the best and I can't say enough good things about them. I feel very lucky to be able to offer Sollera. It makes our jobs easy and fun when we can focus on the design and not ever have to compromise on quality or price.

We have had three major headaches purchasing Columbia Cabinets (that is, apart from the 20 week…read morewait for delivery). First, we discovered was that my built-in desk had a segment on the side that was unfinished. Our designer ordered a new drawer box, which still hasn't arrived after a month. Second, a white toe kick was not included for our pantry cabinets. We learned it was our designer's mistake, but still, I would think that Columbia would have a QC department to look into human errors like that. They made no phone call to verify that we didn't want white toe kicks for our white cabinets, even though we ordered blue toe kicks for our blue cabinets. And third, our custom storage closet had several flaws in the paint finish. It looks like paper when it gets wet - wavy, slightly rough to the touch and dull instead of shiny. So now all three parts of our home improvement project have had holdups due to Columbia Cabinets. Each of our contractors is stalled without the ability to finalize the kitchen or desk, or install the game closet. The worst part is that Columbia Cabinets is closed this whole week between Christmas and New Years, so there's no one available to handle our issue.

ProStar has been working VERY HARD on the exterior of our strata high-rise building for 5+ months,…read morefinishing yesterday. They did an amazing job under challenging conditions addressing exterior concrete repairs, replacing sealants, fixing leaks, treating rusty rebar, repairing and replacing flashing, power washing, painting and much more. The crew were always polite, cheerful and fastidious even while doing work 10+ stories up on narrow ledges in the hot sun; and rainy weather just meant they adjusted course a little and worked on what was needed in covered areas and then they went back to the exposed areas when the sun was shining. We can't imagine a more difficult job as they hung from ropes lowering paint cans, ladders, slabs of granite and much more. We are very grateful for their tremendous efforts.

We had two bathrooms with arborite counter tops which we wanted replaced with granite/quartz…read morecounters, and also we needed new sinks and toilets installed to match the new counter tops. When I looked around for a bathroom contractor to do this minor renovation we couldn't find anyone who would do the work. All other contractors we contacted were only interested in full bathroom renovations with a minimum cost. Fortunately, we came across the Bathman. Sharam, the contractor, was extremely pleasant to deal with. He knew exactly what we wanted and fulfilled all our expectations, even replacing some faulty piping which improved the water pressure. He was on time with delivery and always responded quickly to emails. I have no hesitation in recommending this company. Bathman's prices were also very reasonable. Incidentally, I also found out that Sharam does kitchen renovations as well. Wish I had known about this sooner. The name "Bathman" is a bit misleading because it sounds as though this contractor only does bathrooms.

Bathman replied to our email in a day stating he was booking jobs out four months approx. This timeline worked for us so Bathman suggested coming at noon a few days later to quote. He showed up on the agreed on date but was approximately an hour late. No worries for us, but apparently our parking was problematic for the Shower Tile Crusader. When my partner greeted him as he exited his truck he ignored any polite greeting to complain that the short term parking was not acceptable if he took the job/how did we expect him to park for the job, etc. Note: we have a parkade he could use for when/if he took the job. My partner was so taken back by his attitude she wished him a good day. Bathman left in his Bathmobile without any further questions a hello or a goodbye. Never even got inside to quote as his attitude was an impediment.
