Over these years I have stopped into their store with questions regarding our system and possible upgrades. All were dealt with to our satisfaction. Recently we experienced a trouble alarm that I was not able to determine the exact nature of. I visited their office and the technicial remotely viewed our system and determined it was a battery issue. Or more correctly, a couple battery issues. As we are a longer term client with a monitored system, they gave me a main power battery at a significantly reduced price. Accompanying this were details on how to trace down the other battery troubles. In conclusion, it unfortunately is a rarity that one gets such good service in todays world. So if you are considering a monitoring system, why not deal locally with a company that is customer oriented.

They send the wrong people to my house and the tech says, no I cannot work on this. So I need to start all over again. First wait was 3 days before someone could arrive. Now an auto msg says Jan 21st, 8 days from now. This is a security issue/failure and they want me to wait 3 days and another 8 days. Really? ADT had much better Customer Experience and Customer Retention. Telus calls my recent switch an upgrade. Funny. $3000 later.

I had a terrible experience with this company…read more After seeing an ad for a free home security system on the Facebook marketplace, I suspected something phishy. However, I responded to the ad out of curiosity. It was the companies gonad gong show from there on in. The person that posted the ad did not reply to my messages for several days, and then when he did finally respond he sent me a number and the best time to call. So I called at that time only to connect to a voicemail of someone that sounded like they were stoned out of their minds. Then I got a " sorry I forgot ' message the next day. Then he sent me a different number to call, and I called it to hear someone else answer that didn't know why his number was given out. Finally, I learned it was the posters cohort in the scheme that tried to explain the business, and eventually I learned what they offered, which is basically a free home security system if you allow for advertisement on your house. I was told by the 2nd person that it was a 3-year contract, and the monitoring fee is $65 per month, but the cameras and all security equipment and the install of them is 100% free. And that anytime a client moves, Mag Security will come to your house to move the equipment for you. Brinks is their authorized monitoring company. Then the 2nd person stated to me on the phone that because I am a renter and not a homeowner, " just tell Brinks that you own your house. they won't investigate I promise " And then I was pressured to complete the sale and install date with a very shotty and disfigured contract that read " we are not responsible for any repairs of the equipment and we are not responsible for notifying the client of any intrusions on the property " The 1st and 2nd person always seemed to want to call me when they were out partying or out for dinner which is interesting. Finally, I learn that none of the verbal promises made to me on the phone were legit and that Brinks would not provide monitoring for homeowners. Be aware of this company, especially if you are a renter.
