This was our first service from DirectHeat.ca. & when I called, I asked if they serviced Trane &…read morethey said yes they did. We have a Trane furnace & air cleaner unit, & the air cleaner power light would not come on. They were to come out to Hope from Chwk tomorrow, but called this morning to say they were out this way & could they come today; we said sure. An hour later 2 young fellows showed up & one of them had apparently worked on a Trane furnace once, the other had no knowledge of Trane products. They vacuumed out the furnace but when it came to the air cleaner, they had no clue, were calling someone & asking questions, & stumbling around. My husband had given them the manuals to use. Finally my husband asked "did you see in the manual about the fuse in the door, perhaps it is shot". They had obviously not read the manual & so they checked & sure enough there was a blown fuse, which they apparently changed. The service cost was $345.00 which we were advised about up front when we called. A couple of hours after they left, my husband went into the furnace room for a quick check, & the air cleaner unit was still not powered on, nor could he power it on. So we are in exactly the same position as we were before they came, minus $345.00. The 2 guys seemed so lost & inept that while they were here, my husband said he was worried that they would just create more issues than we already had with the power issue. Little did he know they'd leave & the unit was still dead. I have a voicemail in to them, we'll see what they say tomorrow. My husband doesn't want them on the premises again but we know we'll never get our service call money back so I feel they owe us a proper service.
