They "offered" to replace the engine and had my son have the vehicle towed to one of their shops in Reseda. This establishment put in an engine that proceeded to last two (2) days before the vehicle threw a check engine light and dropped about ten (10) different DTC codes including a misfire in cylinder 5. The car is leaking oil and there numerous issues to be addressed which are estimated to cost over $3500. My son paid over $5000 for this vehicle and it is a piece of junk. We will be taking this dealer to small claims court in hope of recovering some costs for the vehicle.

A perfect one owner vehicle....with Carfax to prove it. So, I made the phone call to check it out. After a short phone conversation about the vehicle, I asked for the 'out the door price'....expecting the normal $1000-$1500 in add-ons and fees and the back and to with the 'manager' for 8 hours. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN! The advertised price WAS the PRICE! I didn't even make a counter offer!!!! What a great dealer to know! Where the price is the PRICE! Shawn even assisted in getting it shipped to my front door! The whole deal took 2 phone calls and 30 minutes! When you find a dealer like Auto Union and Shawn who is straight-up and don't.....agree on a price.... and then hijack you for phony title fees, tracking devices, paint protection........YOU DON"T HAVE TO NEGOTIATE.......it's already a GREAT DEAL. Took it to a GTI mechanic these are the problems he found - CEL due to oil leaking into cylinders replaced engine head - $3500 Dead clutch Slave pump - $3200 AC fan dead, replaced - $450 other electrical failures due to leaking oil into harness - $675 Last straw, engine burning oil - like 1qt a day - after spending $400 for diagnosis and bore scope I decided to send it to salvage and got $2000 Lesson learned for me and my 17 year old son, who spent his $6000 that he earned doing summer job into this. I decided to move to Arizona and needed a van. I called Enterprise Auto Sales in Reseda California and spoke with the manager. She said she could pick up a 2018 Dodge van with 22,225 miles on it from their Long Beach location. I love this van, it has served my relocation purposes well driving back and forth to Los Angeles six times...four years later I only have 44000 miles on it and will be using for hauling items pickup and delivery. The manager was more than efficient in getting the van to me within one day. The financing was fast and if the same management is as effective as in 2022, I definitely will purchase my next van here since I may be moving back to L.A. not definitively sure, yet. What is really impressive is the five year extended warranty through March 2027...I hope the warranty will be five years on the next purchase.
