2nd timer, no food photos because I'm leaving this review as I wait I recommend you call in your order as this place was pop'n on both visits. 1st time I ordered a burrito Supreme and tacos. Both options were tasty but what I disliked is that they add lettuce in the supreme burrito (probably a regional thing). 2nd time we ordered a burrito Supreme and grilled chicken enchilalas and pastor tacos. 5 stars for now and if things change I'll update my post. 5 stars for popularity, flavor, and i love that they allow you to call in your orders because most of the trucks don't. This place is good But it's not an out of the world bomb tacos but it has good tasting meat , good salsa, flavor , tortillas are alright the very bad part is their meat potions are wack & will get an occasional fat ball. This place has potential to be one of the best street tacos in Modesto if they wanted to. The meat portions have to be better the tortillas can be a lot better as well & a bit more crunchy. Very authentic tasting tacos and torta. The service was great! Parking is easy to find. Ordered 7 tacos and one sandwich which only cost around $20.00. I would definitely recommend if you're craving good tasting tacos. The ambiance is so-so. Disappointed by Unsanitary Food Handling Practices & Poor Customer Service I visited Lonchera Valle de Ameca at 1540 Crows Landing Road in Modesto on April 22, 2025, around 8:00 PM. I ordered: * One plate of three plain chicken tacos with salsa on the side, served with rice and beans (no cheese) * Two chicken tortas with no ketchup or mustard, with added beans; one of these was requested to be made to-go After taking two bites of the to-go torta, I noticed it had no beans and traces of ketchup. I returned to the food truck to let them know. They asked for the torta back, and I assumed they would discard it and make a fresh one. Instead, they added beans to the already bitten torta and tried to hand it back to me. When I expressed concern, the owner was rude and combative, insisting it wasn't ketchup but vinegar from the pickled jalapeños. Regardless of what it was, this was not what I ordered, and their handling of the issue was completely unprofessional. This raises serious health concerns. According to the California Retail Food Code: "No unpackaged food that has been served to a consumer shall be re-served or later used for human consumption." -- CalCode §114079 By modifying and re-serving a partially eaten item, this food truck violated state health regulations and put my safety at risk. I expected better, not just in terms of food quality but in basic hygiene and customer service. read more

BEST taco truck!!! The only taco truck my husband, my family & I go to! If you're looking for a good taco truck this one is it. My husband and I usually get there burritos or tacos because that's what we like most & they always hit the spot every time we come. Customer service is great. If you order through the phone for pickup it's always ready when they say it is. This taco truck is located off of Crows Landing Rd. In South Modesto. It's a block south of the Quik Stop on the left hand side. They definitely lived up to the bar with their food. The carne asada was made to order and did not disappoint...Also I noticed 2 other trucks but this one seemed to have all of the business which is a definite sign that I picked the right place. This taco truck is very good and they are also consistent. I wouldn't recommend eating your food there though there are a lot of homeless people that are constantly coming up and begging for money and there's a lot of drunk belligerent crackheads running around. Order ahead on a busy night if you can, wait times can be a bit long. The food is definitely worth the wait and location. read more

This is one of the best taco trucks in Modesto hands down! This is my go-to spot whenever I need my burrito fix. I always get the burrito supreme al pastor and it's soooo good, my GF gets the asada and she loves it too. The salsa is hot (at least for me, I don't really do too much spicy) so if you're not good with spicy stuff then I recommend asking for no chile. They stay out late in the weekends so whenever you need a late night grub this is the spot. I'd take the food to go though, a lot of bums and tweakers hang out most of the time, but that's every taco truck in Methdesto. read more
