I called Valiant roofing because my skylight was leaking into the house. Their receptionist was very helpful and scheduled a roof inspection/ estimate within 12 hours. I am impressed with how fast they could get here and place a tarp to keep my house dry until the work could be completed. They were able to complete the repair within 2 weeks and the whole project took about 2 days. We have a membrane roof over our front deck that was full of water(main problem that also caused skylight leak originally) There was a miscommunication between the estimator and the workers and they didn't realize the skylight also had to be replaced as well as the membrane. I asked about skylight while they were working on the roof and they were concerned because they didn't have it with them the first day. The crew finished most of the job the first day and decided to do the skylight replacement the next day. They ended up coming out after hours the next day to install the new skylight. everything looks good and no leaks. The crew working on the roof were very professional hard working guys and even though they had an oversight about the skylight they worked extra hours the next day to make sure it was done correctly and within a reasonable timeframe. I was also impressed with how clean they kept the jobsite. They kept all the toof scraps contained in their dump box and when they were done the jobsite was spotless. This company also sent someone to inspect the roof/skylight about a week after completion to make sure everything was perfect. They also have someone come out with a drone to take pictures of roof to document the job. over all I would recomend Valiant Roofing to my friends and neighbors who need roof work done. read more

edit: Jack (company rep with whom I communicated/planned the job) contacted me within an hour of leaving this review and scheduled a time, same day, to resolve my issues. He just left after fixing the live-wire threat and cleaned the sun tunnels. One of the sun tunnels still needs some work and a company rep is going to come out and fix it within 2 weeks or so. I'll further update the review then. I contracted Valiant Roofing to replace my aging shingles as well as install sheathing on top of the wood slates used back in the 60s and my experience with the company has left a lot to be desired. I corresponded with Jack Divine on all planning and he was definitely helpful and was the only decent part of my experience with Valiant Roofing. The contracting company (or maybe it was a team employeed by his company?) directly contributed to an experience leaving me unable to recommend Valiant Roofing to anybody. The whole reason I went with Valiant Roofing was their Platinum partnership with Owens Corning and the fact they could get the specific shingle design I want. It was my great surprise, upon checking the work, the contractors were in the middle of installing a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT pattern. They had to stop construction, remove the already installed pattern, and wait to get the correct pattern delivered before resuming work. But I am getting ahead of myself. first, after old shingle tear down and after installing new sheathing, the underlayment they laid out was full of huge wrinkles. They contractors on scene did nothing to fix it until I called the project supervisor and asked them to intervene. Both these events left me with little choice than to observe the workers install the roof so other corners weren't cut, I had zero confidence at this point. Roof is installed, I went to inspect the roof after the contractors left and found numerous (at least 4 instances) of nails being shot through the wrong part of the shingle and also being exposed to the elements. I called the project manager and she came by personally to inspect and clean up more mess left behind. She recalled the contractors to come by and resolve the substandard shingle nail job as well as further clean the work area. After this the roof job was done. I called the company later to complain about debris in the sun tunnels. They sent out the same team to clean and I'm still upset at this interaction and this is the reason I even wrote what I'd say is a critical review. I asked them to fix the alignment of the sun tunnels as light was escaping into my attic, and to clean the debris. They did not clean the insides of the sun tunnels as I requested. They ignored one of the sun tunnels completely and did a lackluster tape job on the other which did not resolve the escaping light issue. When I pointed out the remaining debris, they suggested I call Jack Divine and contract him to install a completely new sun tunnel as it would be cheaper. What? Okay, so fast forward to today, I'm inspecting my attic and I look at one of the spots in the roof where previously existed a vent. I see a LIVE romex cable touching the metal panic installed by Valiant Roofing. No effort made to safely cap it. I was not even notified of the fire danger. Completely messed up if you ask me. For what it is worth, there was a language barrier (I don't speak Spanish well) between me and the contractors doing the work. This made communication extremely difficult and I felt my concerns for this over $18000 job mostly ignored. All in all, a mostly unprofessional experience and I would not trust Valiant Roofing to do any more work on my properly. read more

they did a good job on my roof and they cleaned up the yard better than some. I would have given them more stars, except that when I went to sell my house, I discovered that they had not connected the fan in the laundry room to an exterior vent. It was blowing into the attic. The inspector for the folks looking to buy the house made a note of it and, understandably, they wanted it to be done properly. So I contacted Valiant, left a voicemail explaining the problem, and indicating that there was some urgency, I was trying to sell my house! they took way too long to get back to me. The person I finally spoke with said he was going to talk to his person about getting the job taken care, and then never got back to me. I left several more messages, but I guess since they'd already been paid, they couldn't show me the courtesy of returning my call, let alone fixing a problem they overlooked initially. I had to pay someone else to come out and fix something that was part of the job I paid Valiant to do. Before this I referred several people to them, but not anymore. If I could give them 10 stars I would. We had just come off of a difficult experience with another company and everyone at Valiant went above and beyond with every single detail. As the job progressed small and large surprises came up and they were responsive and supportive through all of it. They took time to explain everything they were doing and why and offered different solutions along the way so we understood our options. We ended up doing a little more than we originally anticipated and I am glad we did because the quality of the results are fantastic. I can't say enough positive things about this company. They were prompt in getting me an estimate, which was competitive with the others I got. But they went above and beyond from start to finish. Blake did the estimate and explained everything in detail, including potential additional costs. The company got me scheduled quickly and did the work very efficiently, in three days, cleaning up completely each day before leaving. Kendra oversaw the project and she and Blake were both responsive and helpful when I had questions, and Kendra made arrangements to quickly address a ceiling issue and some issues in my garage that came up during the project. Valiant Roofing did an outstanding job on installing a new roof on my house. I totally recommend them. I really like the fact that they are a Owens Corning (OC) Platinum Preferred Contractor, offer material and workmanship up to 50 years and have in-house crews. I was impressed with Valiants price, workmanship, product line and warranty offerings. I am a very picky person and I normally conduct a ton of research on things I do not know much about. I interviewed several 4.5 -5.0 google star review roofing companies and Valiant was much more professional in all aspects than the other companies. After I signed the contract, Valiant was able to quickly fit me into their schedule and finished the job in a couple of days. My roof was 22 years old and Valiant was extremely careful about meeting all of the newest roofing code requirements. They installed the roof in a very professional and safe manner. Roofing site was left clean when the job was completed. Another reason I chose Valiant, was because they use OC shingles which in my opinion (based upon all of the research I did) are the best shingles on the market for the Northwest area. Replacing our roof was something we were hoping to avoid during our time in our home. We mostly ignored it until surprise! Our light fixture was dipping! Reached out to a few companies and Valiant was the only one to not only contact me that same day, but to call us back at all. Initial contact is very important and they showed they cared from the start. Reid and his brother came out the next day and checked everything out, showed us a ton of photos and after their pitch we had to agree that it was time for a replacement rather than a repair. While the pricing was more than we had anticipated based on searching around and speaking with neighbors I do believe their quality and service is more than worth it. Through the whole process Reid was very communicative and super flexible with us for signing considering our working schedules. Their team was efficient and completed our roof in under a day and a half and cleaned up well, my walkway was cleaner than when they arrived! My only gripes are some of my plants got smashed or were torn up during the cleanup (but I'm sure that's fairly common with any repair with things flying from above); and the communication about when the dumpster was being dropped and how clear the driveway needed to be was lacking. We were out of town so we had to rely on our neighbors to move our car more than once because it wasn't made clear to them or us to leave the car on the street, and we didn't know the dumpster was coming the day prior to starting. But these are seriously miniscule nitpicks, and are not solely on Valiant because I wasn't home to add protection to my plants and I didn't think to ask more detailed information from the scheduler. I only mention it so others might be more proactive than I was if they're particular about their landscaping or may not be home. Our roof is beautiful and while there hasn't been good rain yet for the ultimate test, it looks secure and I love the peace of mind knowing exactly how old my shingles are and that if anything does go wrong I have a good local company to help read more
