They quoted me a price of $10 in late Oct and said they couldn't finish the alterations till Nov 7 so I decided to wait. I brought in the fleece Nov 10 for alterations. They said the $10 price we quoted you was for only one-side. The price quote on Nov 10 for both sides was $15. How does that make sense? I would have gone somewhere else. My daughter took her prom dress to be hemmed. it was a hack job! the dress was so crooked. the sides were shorter than the back and the front hung on the ground. The owner of the shop was crying because she was so embarrassed by her work. i had to fight for reimbursement of the $80 for the hack job. it was unbelievable. it was horrible. Daughter a total nightmare. Mom admits to ruining dress and has audacity to yell at my 16 year old daughter. Disgusting business Beware! They blame the customer for their horrible work. Dropped off prom dress for alterations. Prepaid $80 after pinning. Fee is $40 per layer. Initial contact with employee gave me confidence in the store. However, dress not ready at promised date. Gave seamstress an extra week. Picked up dress and employee "Stephanie" says I owe an additional $40 because there was a third layer to the dress. I told her I never received a phone call about the additional work. She says they don't call customers. She demanded the $40 in addition to the prepaid $80. Advised employee Stephanie to have the owner call me to work out a resolution. I took the dress and left. I am happy to have a discussion with the owner. It's been two days and no phone call yet. Against better judgement, I gave them the benefit and took my father's shirts in. After prepaying, she charged me an additional $13 upon pickup for one of the shirts because it was a flannel. Out the door 4 long sleeve shirts was over $40. When I asked her how they can charge me more after I prepaid she again told me she was the owner and didn't need her customers questioning her. In late December I took a set of Belgian linen drapes to Valet Cleaners based on their advertisement for drape cleaning. The care instructions in the drape lining clearly showed "100% BELGIAN LINEN, PROFESSIONAL DRY CLEAN ONLY). When I picked them up in early January, they were placed in neat folds on hangers. Cost for cleaning was $85.00. When I got them home and took them out of THE plastic, I noticed that they had a noticeably smooth starch finish as though they had been laundered instead of being dry cleaned. When we hung them, instead of touching the floor, they had shrunk by approximate 8". It has ruined their appearance in our family room. I immediately went back to Valet cleaners and approached the operator about this. He did not seem to understand, but we got out tape and I explained to him how much shorter they were and it was obvious shrinkage due to being laundered instead of dry cleaned. He said bring back and maybe he would "fix". Of course, they cannot be fixed. I asked him at least to refund my money, and he said he did not understand. Replacements will cost well over $200.00. Never use these cleaners for anything other than basic items. I won't use them at all. read more

Valet cleaners did an amazing job on my sisters wedding dress. After takin pictures on wet lawn it had several grass stains which are completely gone thanks to Valet. It looks new again. Staff was friendly and did their best to give me the best deal possible. Service was prompt and they had the dress back to me quickly. Honestly...One of the worst examples of customer service. I needed my clothing my noon the next day. I knew this was not typical, so I called and talked to the owner before hand to make sure they could accommodate. He said yes, and I dropped off the clothing. I made it perfectly clear to the 13 year old girl that checked in my clothing about out timeline. She repeatedly said it was no problem. I went in today at 12:30 to pick up my clothes only to he told they weren't ready. She actually laughed and said "Well what do you expect me to say...They aren't ready?". They then proceeded to hand me wet clothes. I asked for my money back. He laughed again and said"I don't think so lady.". Really? They are expensive, compared to other dry cleaners in town, but they do a better job than the other dry cleaning shops in the area. They lose one star in the summertime because their air conditioner always seems to be broken or not working. I trusted this cleaners with alterations and cleaning of drapes that were precious to me. When they were returned they were 3" too short and had to be redone by another seamstress. The owner of Valet Cleaners, their seamstress and staff denied the glaring issue and made no effort to repair the damage. Instead they accused me of having a duplicate set of drapes that I was trying to trick them into altering. It was a bizarre encounter with excuses, fabrications of the truth and expensive.
