Love Valerie's Paw spa!! Took my puggle, Taco there to get her a D-shed and Hannah did such an amazing job. Will definitely be making an appointment again with her in another 6 weeks like she recommended. Taco is so soft and no more crazy puffs of hair everywhere. She is so happy too! Thank you so much for getting Taco in today and making her look so beautiful!

Quick efficient grooming. Was able to make a same day appt. Only took them about an hour to groom my short hair dog. Pricier than my other grooming experience somewhere around $65 for a bath, brush, and nails combo. and I did not like that they asked if I wanted to put a tip before they charged the card felt like pressure even with their higher prices.

This is a response to the flat out lie of your reply, this is a picture a few days before we took him to you. you said on the phone you would never let an injured dog leave the shop without notifying the owners. you said that sometimes you cut a dog when it's matted and our dog was clearly not matted. When we called you, we clearly said we didn't want no one fired, but you guys need to take some accountability for injuring a dog'. My wife and I read through the comments and this happens constantly at your shop. You guys obviously are not taking very good care of these animals and this is a problem and you guys don't want to take no accountability. All you guys have is excuses.! Anyone that reads this please do not bring your animals to this shop. Please read all reviews. There are Injuries that are happening to peoples pets, this is not a safe place to bring your animals if you care about them.

I've been taking my two dogs, Uni and Stella, to Leiyah for a while now, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Both dogs always look fantastic after their grooming sessions, and they're always well taken care of. Leiyah is patient, kind, and clearly loves animals, which puts my mind at ease every time I drop them off. I highly recommend Leiyah for anyone looking for a reliable and skilled groomer who genuinely cares about their pets!

If you value your animals, especially senior animals, do NOT take them here. My sweet 12 year old boy came home completely limping. When we brought him in originally, he was walking completely fine. Not once did they tell us what happened. When we reached out after we got home and he was virtually unable to walk, we were immediately hit with excuse after excuse. He had his skin cut as well, and when we mentioned it, the groomer told us that it was a scab that she hit and that she "completely forgot to tell us." Did you forget to tell us, or did you not want us to know? We would have completely understood that accidents happen...we're just upset that we had to discover it first. Then, we reached the owner. She IMMEDIATELY was defensive and unapologetic, much like how she responds to other negative messages below. She then said, and this is verbatim, "there's no doubt in my mind that he would be sore and probably not able to walk very well after getting groomed by observing him during his whole time at the shop today he was unable to stand." If you had no doubt and KNEW he would be sore, why would you not communicate this to us? Would it have not eliminated so much stress and trouble by simply saying "He had a difficult time standing, he might show signs of soreness" ??? She then said it took multiple people to hold him up. So you're telling me that neither the owner, groomer or any of the "multiple people" felt the need to communicate with us, and it took us reaching out in order to get answers? Why would you not encourage your staff to be more gentle, or maybe attempt to find an alternative way that would help him be more comfortable, rather than apparently forcing him to stand? You were aware he'd be sore, but you allowed your staff to continue while you stood by and watched? You apparently knew that a dog would leave in pain AND HAVE WORSE MOBILITY ISSUES (yes, she said this!), but you allowed your staff to continue? Is that taking care of our pup, like you said you did? Is that "keeping him comfortable?" Every response she had further dug herself in a deeper hole. After posting about my experience on social media, I had multiple people reach out and say that they had bad experiences, too. Please, please take this as a warning and never visit Val's Paw Spa. There is zero accountability and it is somehow always the customer's fault. I'm fully prepared for a nasty response back, but I'd rather be gaslit than not warn people about how horrible this place and how horrible the staff (and specifically the owner) are. -- Update since the owner responded: See how quickly you were to say that he was in "terrible condition" and put the blame on us? We have ring camera footage showing our happy dog, excited for a car ride, walking completely fine. The "girl on camera" (which is not the "gotcha!" threat you think it is, by the way) was just making the staff aware that he is a SENIOR DOG and has a difficult time getting up onto high surfaces. So with your logic, because she told you guys that he can have difficult time, and making you aware that he is a senior dog that, it makes it justifiable for him to come out limping and unable to walk?? After literally admitting that you had no doubt he'd leave in worse condition? If that is too much to handle, why would you not turn us away? If he was in such "terrible condition," and you were worried about him, why would you accept him? We would have had no issue finding another option. I'm not surprised with your response -- it's exactly what I expected from you. It just continues to prove that there is zero accountability and that it's always the customer's fault first. Valerie has been grooming my cat for 12 years. There isn't another salon in town I would trust her with. She always makes me feel comfortable with the grooming process. I know how difficult it can be to groom a cat. Her passion for animals is first rate. I highly recommend her.

I have been bringing my 2 dogs to Val's shop since it opened. I love how flexible they are with me on my times, they call when they're done, and if I missed that call, they call my husband. Unfortunately my small dog passed away; so I know personally Valorie always gave both of my dogs, special care and treatment. She does that for every animal she sees. My large dog Otto hates getting her nails done. So she would let my husband come in to comfort her so Valerie could clip her nails. She definitely goes above and beyond for anyone's animal. Having a German Shepherd, they can get ear infections very easily, there's been two or three times where she is pointed out, her ears are really dirty, I brought her to the vet and had to have ear cleanings and one time she even had an infection. Valorie not only grooms your dog, she mentally makes sure your animal doesn't have something wrong and if she this something looks strange, or not normal she voices it to me and gives us suggestions afterwards on if she feels possibly somethings going on to take them to the vet, or if there is something she thinks could benefit our dog to try. Especially senior dogs! She helped me find a few supplements for my dog auto, to help her when she gets up and down because she's now getting old. And her hips are bothering her. Not only does she groom your dog. But when you need your dog there for hours, her employees actually will walk the dogs to go to the bathroom, they always have dog treats, and food. And it's not a pet hotel! By far, this is the best dog groomer I have ever been to!!! my whole family brings their animals to her! read more

Im very happy with my dog's haircut. Ashley did an amazing job making her look so cute. I didn't have any real specifics.. just short on top, clean ears, toenails, foot pads, and make her cute. My pup looks perfect. This was our 1st visit here. I feel like the time frame from drop off to finish was perfect. I'll be sure to request Ashley in the future. read more

OMG!!!! Where do I start? Great place. I'm staying here. I have standard Poodles. Ashley does a fantastic job EVERYTIME!!the service is amazing, everyone is so friendly and helpful love love love. highly recommend valerie's paw spa, i drive across town because they are the only ones i trust. my dog has never been groomed until she was 7 years old and i was very nervous she wouldn't handle it well. but gabby and all the girls treated her with such care & even sent me photos to make me feel better throughout the process. i have now brought her here multiple times and she's so much more comfortable because of the patience and love of the groomers. i can tell she feels so good! read more

I'm so unhappy right now. My dog got a express grooming done. She came back to me extremely razor burned and in pain. She's still extremely bright red and in pain. I've been here before and had a great experiences which is why I came back. When I called to make a appointment the gentleman on the phone was extremely rude. I went besides my better judgement because the first time was so good and now my dog is in pain. I have to put treatment on her skin for her to stop itching it. I emailed and called. When they respond and rectify this I have no problem adjusting my review. But as someone who's family owns a small business this is extremely wrong. You don't hurt someones dog. Valerie's is absolutely the best! I have been bringing my two golden doodles (Abby & Layla) there for a couple years now and would not go anywhere else. Everyone there is super nice, and they genuinely care about your dogs. Danielle is the groomer who takes care of my dogs, and she is the best! My dogs love her. When we get there, they know exactly where they are going and start to get super excited in the truck. Even when my dogs are overdue for their grooming, and I am embarrassed because they are such a mess, they always make us feel welcome and they always leave there looking awesome! Tried to take my pup to a mobile groomer and she was very unhappy they weren't able to finish her cut. Found Valeries paw spa on google and I am so happy! Danny groomed my puppy and did such and amazing job, my girl looks beautiful thank you Danny! Taking her only here and I would, 100% recommend them to anyone needs their baby's groomed! The whole staff in there were very friendly and welcoming as well when we dropped our girl off so that's a plus! read more

Never had a problem here. Staff are always kind, and my dogs can be a bit of an issue coming in here (they bark and poop when they get excited) but they've accommodated me nicely. Call ahead because they are usually booked. My dogs always come out of here looking so happy and clean! read more

This place is awful. I took my dog in last weekend and when we picked her up we were told she had been cut on her neck but later on that day we discovered she had also been cut on both of her ears as well. not to mention when we picked her up she scared and shaking. she did not eat, drink or go to the bathroom for two days. when I called to discuss this with the owner she blamed me. and if you read most of her negative reviews you will see she blames the owner in all of her comments she doesn't except responsibility for the horrible work and cruelty that goes on in her spa. also there was another dog the same day that was also cut during his grooming. I don't recommend this groomer to anyone. read more

I have 2 dogs a German Shepard nine, and a toy poodle Minnie. my Shepard has never been to a groomer she is extremely scared of strangers but a good dog. My poodle has been to a groomer but has had horrid experiences and is also scared of groomers/vets. Val's place takes GREAT excellent care of my furr babies, at a decent cost! My poodle furr can get matted at times, and the Shepard sheds like crazy but Val's always makes it 1000x better! Thank you! I recommend them! Best place in Henderson. read more

Wonderful groomers My baby is an epileptic and very fragile. Valerie always insists on taking care of Lizzie herself. She makes special arrangements to take her first thing in the morning before there is much noise. She also is very careful to monitor Liz for any signs of trouble. She is very caring and diligent with my baby's safety and status. read more

Took my German Shepard to get a shave. When my wife called we set the appointment to have him shaved. When we took him in they washed and brushed him. No shave. When talking to the owner of this place she gave every excuse to why they didn't shave him. One being that they don't shave there. The other being that his tail started bleeding. Saying that he needed to see the vet to get cleared. They had no problem charging way to much for wash and brush but started refusing the service that was asked from the get go. The owner called me after having to ask by phone and in person to speak with her. And was a very argumentative person to deal with. I told her that if his tail bleeding was a issue why was it not brought to my attention when it was bleeding and a problem. It's only was a problem when they had to make it right. At no point when my dog was bleeding so bad that I need to get him checked by a vet was I or my wife contacted. My puppy is a 10 year old German shepherd /border collie that has nerves ticks and sometimes nibbles on his tail. Do not use this place if you want to know if something bad can happen. Or if you want your pet groomed like you ask for. Edit after the owner responded. First this business at no point in time tried to contact me when his tail was bleeding. My wife got a text message saying he was done. At no point was anyone called to say it was bleeding until the refusal of shaving him was done by the owner. But before she had even refused I told her I did not trust her because I was not informed and I wanted a refund because that is not what we asked for. The lies about how his tail was slammed in a door. I really don't know where she came up with that. Or trying to say my wife and I had a misunderstanding? I was sitting next to her when she maid the appointment We are not the ones that are confused. Luckily they did not kill my best friend. I have never been so insulted by a business owner than the lie's coming from her. I am really glad that my puppy is ok and now worried that a business owner would not only lie about me yelling at her over the phone but did not contact me if my dog was bleeding at all! His tail has not bleed at all. It seems to me that she has no care of her actions. The job was not done properly and her actions are not professional. read more

We are VERY happy with Valerie's Paw Spa! After just one visit, we feel comfortable and confident that there are true human beings that love animals and know how they should be treated working at Valerie's Paw Spa! We have a 6 month old AKC Scottish Terrier named Ruger. We tried another groomer but they only clipped his nails and did a quick dusting groom. Also they overcharged us. Our friend Rich recommended Gabby, as she grooms his Scottie and does a great job every time. Now I am recommending Gabby and Valerie's Paw Spa to everyone, and it's not difficult because since his groom with Gabby, Ruger is looking fantastic and turning heads everywhere we go! I especially like that Gabby said she loves terriers, and to me that just made a connection and I knew she would really take care of Ruger. He is still a puppy, and she showed, professionalism, TONS of patience and much kindness. She really understands dogs. Thank you Valerie's Paw Spa! We'll be back real soon! read more

What a refreshing experience with groomers that know what they are doing. Not only was Ashley awesome with my two huge St. Bernards, but also the products used to clean my pups were great! Both Odin and Madison came home super clean, beautifully trimmed and they are hardly shedding now. Also, their nails were trimmed and ears cleaned Thank you Ashley for sending them both home so perfectly groomed We will be back soon And their prices are very reasonable. read more

I've gone here a couple times with my husky mix and they've always been helpful and very kind! My dog feels amazing and smells wonderful. Their prices are great too! I didn't catch her name, but the lady who groomed my dog even helped me out to my car because I was carrying my daughter. Even with me and my daughter looking like one big ball of sickness due to recovering from the flu. So to that kind lady, thank you for grooming my dog, but also thank you for holding the door and helping my dog get to the car. And more importantly, thank you for not judging me for forgetting my daughters socks and looking like a hot mess. I would recommend you and your business anytime! read more

I just want to preface this by saying I am not usually one to do this sort of thing, but when it comes to situations like this I don't see any other way to handle it. We brought our 1 year old puppy to this shop on Saturday, and she came home a totally different dog. This was her fourth visit to Valerie's. Yes, when we dropped her off we knew she had some decent areas of matting that our brush just couldn't get too. This also caused some problems with foxtails getting caught that we could not see when we checked her for them. (I gave her a bath a couple weeks prior, and she maybe had 2-3 in her fur.) She had been sick and we had to delay grooming for a few weeks longer than we would have liked. I even tried to alleviate some of it at home during this time, but without the proper set up this was difficult. This was brought to the groomers attention before anything was started. Because of this when we discussed the length her fur was going to have to be cut to we knew it was going to be short. We agreed on a #7. However, when we picked her up over two hours later it was then brought to our attention that she had to go shorter then we discussed to a #10. The groomer did also tell us that her top coat wasn't too bad, but there were some bad spots deeper down. This can be heard when we picked our dog up. She had also been nicked on her neck, and her ears were not plucked or cleaned. Again it was not brought to our attention that the groomer skipped the ears because she suspected an ear infection. Which would have been nice to know since she was not showing any signs of one before the visit. After getting her home our dog was just not right. We took her to the vet the next day because we were so worried about her. The vet cleaned her ears for us, and discovered she had a mild ear infection. She checked the nick on her neck, and recommended some medication for it. We were also instructed to give her Benadryl for the irritation she was experiencing and also the severe anxiety she was exhibiting. Our vet was even surprised at how unlike herself our dog was acting. When we contacted the spa about it Valerie first said that there were protocols that weren't followed. Like giving us paperwork on matting before the grooming, and calling us when any changes had to be made in case we wanted to change our minds about going through with the grooming. (Our groomer was also double booked which we were told was normal.) she said she would follow up, and get back to us. About 10 minutes later she called back with a completely different attitude contradicting everything she said during the first call. I understand wanting to have your employees back, but there was clearly wrong doing, and she said so herself at first. She also hung up the second call when things weren't going her way. I should have known not to bring my dog here when they don't even check for vaccines making it easy for illnesses to spread. Luckily my dog is vaccinated. I would not recommend this grooming facility to anyone anymore. read more

Our last experience was disappointing due to unprofessional behavior by Leiyah. The groomer abused my dog and threatened my daughter if we escalated anything to the owner or others. Upon speaking with other dog parents, we found that this groomer has same reputation in other grooming places that they went to 4/6 years ago with terrible grooming practices and was let go of that grooming shop. I guess her behavioral issues never changed! To the Owner - Hope you take actions against unethical behavior and quality of grooming of your groomer. We value kindness & respect and will be seeking a new grooming service that aligns with those values. read more

I have been going to Valerie's for over 5 years and have taken our 3 dogs and recommended them to 2 family members who also take their dogs there. The personnel is welcoming, pays attention to detail and always fits us into the schedule where they can. Whether for a routine bath, trim, teeth, ears and over all cleaning or deep cleaning (when they come back from the ranch) all dogs come back looking/smelling like a million bucks! Aside from the family feel we get with them our dogs are happy to be there, which speaks volumes!! Highly recommend if you live in Henderson. read more

Hope is AMAZING!!! We have a poodle (pain in the rear) and two black lab golden retrievers (little stinkers) and let me tell you, we LOVE her and they love her! I highly recommend this doggy spa! They are accommodating, efficient, and friendly! The salon is very clean and my dogs come home happy and not scared to go! That has never happened! read more

Being open on a sunday is very helpful since i work Monday through Saturday. I bring my dog lady here once a month for a groom and wash and am always satisfied. They are very friendly and really do love dogs. Thank you valerie's for always taking care of lady and having her look extra pretty ! read more

I took my cat in to get a cut and bath. She turned out looking great and was treated excellent! I haven't had luck with my cat in other salons until now. Also, they use great products and were extremely nice. I will definitely be coming back here again and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Valerie's is the only place I bring my standard poodles for grooming. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and always do an amazing job with my babies! My dogs are always so happy whenever I drop them off so I definitely know that they are well taken care of by these ladies. read more

Been bringing my dog here for some time now and I love the work that these ladies do. They are the best in the city. I drive an extra 25 minutes to them because I know they are careful and take great care of my schnauzer Misty. You can choose anyone of them, they do great work. read more
