I had to try it at least once and I found Aura with good reviews in San Rafael. You lie on a massage table face up and get a gentle and relaxing facial massage. The esthetician wears gloves and does an extensive massage inside your mouth. It's not comfortable but not so uncomfortable that you cannot take it. I realized how much tension I carry in the lower half of my face. Afterwards, I felt really relaxed. Surprisingly enough, some of my fine lines seem to have diminished. I've been coming to Valentina since 2017. To begin with this space is charming, relaxing, cozy and smells so good! Valentina's hands are very soft and the touch is perfect. I have always been against all the unnecessary surgeries and was almost ok with having some wrinkles earlier than I expected, but....this massage (I guess it is called Buccal massage) that I received today turned my world upside down! I could see the immediate result right after the treatment, my face became fresh looking, my cheeks got this natural blush colour, face muscles got relaxed and there were barely noticable soft lines above the corners of my mouth. Today I had my 2nd or 3rd ever facial, but my 1st with Valentyna, and WOW, it was so good I had to write a review! This was the best facial I've ever received. She was so thorough, explained everything clearly, and I walked away with dewy skin and that incredible peripheral nervous system activation feeling of when you're simultaneously calm and energized. She started by having me fill out a brief (1-sided page) questionnaire about myself, my skin, and other relevant questions, and then we discussed what products I was using and issues I was having. Then I got changed top-up into a wrap robe, and she had warm, heavy comforters to slip under. Already super relaxing. She used a variety of oils and cleansers to massage and clean my shoulders, neck, and face for the next 1.5-2 hours. This woman has magical hands! She is an incredible combination of strong, perceptive, and sensitive. She finished with an intraoral buccal massage, which if you've never seen it, YouTube it. It's what Meghan Markle uses to keep her cheeks looking fabulous. She also introduced me to two of the oils she used during the facial, which I didn't purchase as I just restocked some of my skincare products, but I'm definitely interested in trying in the future. I was so zen when I left that I forgot an earring there! But I'm definitely coming back, so I'll get it soon. read more

I tried Aura Beauty Lounge in June 2018 and have been coming ever since. Valentina is a super nice facialist that clearly cares about her clients. She asks about your skin and skincare and then works her magic. Her products are of high quality but she's not at all pushy with them. I was so surprised when Valentina offered me completely different approach to my oily skin! Before coming to her I was advised to exfoliate and peel my face constatntly that dried it so much making it look dried and unhealthy. But on my first appointment to Aura Beauty Lounge I was told by Valentina to start using oils for my skin and... real magic happened!
