I ordered a burger, side ziti, and garlic knots from this place, and not only was my order cold indicating that it was sitting out for a long time, but the driver who is from this restaurant did not even deliver it to the right house. The food was so cold it was inedible so I threw it out, and got a refund from Grubhub no problem. When I went to tell Grubhub about said refund, the restaurant called me back on the phone to yell at me and threaten me. They were saying it's my fault for living so far, and that's why the food was cold. What kind of excuse is that? If I'm "so far" why is this restaurant an option on grubhub to order from for me? They demanded that I pay for the order, so I said no I won't and blocked the number. I was a little worried that these people in the restaurant would try to track me down, but grubhub said they did not have my information. The experience I had with this restaurant was extremely unprofessional, and I will never order from them again. Maybe if they were not as rude and childish I would, but there are other pizza places in the area where I can order a quick lunch that will actually respect me and not call me back demanding I pay them. read more

Valentino's is a small pizza joint in the strip center that included JC Teriyaki on Pennington Road in Ewing, NJ. It has four or five booths, but business is obviously primarily take out. I stopped in for lunch this week and found the place bright and friendly, if a tad disheveled. However, their pies on display looked very appealing, and I opted for two king size slices reheated to well done, and a Snapple. At $6 and change, it was a good deal. The slices were very thin, yet firm enough to hold their points high and proud, without a quiver nor bended knee. It was crisp, hot, and tasty and had splashes of chunky sauce throughout that reminded of tomato pie, but was in fact still a pizza with plenty of cheese visible beneath the red blotches. A heavy shake of crushed red pepper, and the slices came to life. They were very good, with little drip or drop. In fact, this lunch was far better than anticipated, and was one of the better pizza surprises of the past year. I would certainly return for a fresh pie and to sample their cheesesteaks. If they found time to clean up the house, and put away all the unfinished boxes and cases of soda sitting in the back, Valentino's could find itself a nice romantic table for two hole in the wall for those wanting a private conversation over cracker crisp crusty pizza. read more

Great pizza and great service - two things that I definitely want from a local pizza parlor. This place does a little bit of everything on the Italian menu, some subs, burgers, gyros, and even something amazing called the Mega Fries (Mozzarella, Cheddar, Bacon and Ranch smothered fries). My two favorites are the ranch chicken pizza and a plain old slice. The crust is nice and thin, which gives you room to easily get a side of wings or even a salad. Everything is reasonably priced and they have daily specials, as well as coupons in their menu for like $5 off etc. The guys that work the counter are friendly and attentive. If you want to eat here, there are a few tables, but not really for big groups, just for a quick bite. I called in to make a delivery order. I made it very clear as to where the driver needs to go and to call me when he arrives. I couldn't have made it more freakin clear... An hour later, I just happened to look outside and notice the delivery guy walking to the wrong door and didn't even call. I then call the place and told the guy that the driver didn't follow the directions. When I go downstairs, he's there. While I'm signing I notice the wrong soda. Now, I when I called, I asked "do you have 2 liter ginger ale. The guy says hold on, let me check. He then comes back on the line and says "yes we do", so I said I'll take one and he says ok. So, with all being said...I then had to call back the restaurant, told him that they gave me Sprite instead of ginger ale, he then hangs up. I call back to ask to speak to the manager, not available. Note, I'm not a fan of Sprite! Food...pretty good actually, I ordered a buffalo chicken calzone. One star for the stupidity and rudeness along with lack of proper communication on their end. AND....I never got my ginger ale, soooo I paid for a soda that never came. Hmm....bad business. read more

Ok so here's our tale: We ordered with high hopes- one large pizza and garlic knots. Note: we are three college students in the midst of finals. An HOUR goes by and no pizza. We called the establishment and to our dismay, Valentino's had the audacity to lose (??) our order. We think they ate it. So we call back (for a SECOND time) and they say: "we'll send it right out". So now our hopes are regained only to be DASHED once again upon waiting 30 WHOLE MINUTES longer. At this point, we are staring out the window, as we search far and wide for our driver who is letting us down as each minute passes and we reach starvation. So during this call, they inform (lied to) us that it was en route to TCNJ. Now, it has been 15 minutes since our LAST call, when the restaurant is DOWN THE STREET. We will continue to update our journey, but we may perish before that time. I would love to comment on the quality of our food, but at the same time, I WOULD LOVE TO RECEIVE THE FOOD. read more

Seriously good stuff if you like getting delivery! Can't speak to their pizzas, but their cheesesteaks are excellent. They have a nice meal deal running for them on grubhub, so be sure to use that. Their takeout menu also lists some deals for certain weekdays, so be sure to check those out if you can. In terms of delivery (to local TCNJ dorms), they were always fast (in fact, often 30 minutes faster than grubhub timer indicated), so as a hungry senior that was a major plus. And late night hours always help. Only qualm with a recent order was the lack of promised soda can that came with my meal, but I wasn't too keen on that portion of my food anyhow. This quickly became my go to pizza spot once I discovered it. There's plenty of pizza in the area and all are certainly not created equal. The crust of the pizza is salty, and crunchy just the way I like it and the sauce is the right balance of sweet and savory. The cheesesteaks are also pretty good and a great size for the price. My family and I just moved to the area and decided to give this place a try because it is really close to the house. I ordered a turkey and cheese sub, extra cheese, and everything on it. No extra cheese, no oil, no vinegar. But I did find HAIR on my sandwich instead. I wasn't horribly surprised because everything about this place suggests unremarkable strip mall pizza that survives on its huge walk-up business only because of the neighborhood it is in. A few months ago I stopped in for a menu and before the counter worker could hand it to me the owner rushed up front from the back and used a magic marker to line-out the printed price on the pizza special and then he scribbled in a higher price. Cheap eats. I wouldn't go looking for a superior pie but, the Tomato Pizza and the Chicken Cheese Steak wrap are definitely worth their cost. I keep coming back for these two selections. If you choose to order I would pick up because the delivery will take a half hour (at least) and your food will most likely need a trip to the toaster oven but still be good eatin'. read more

I used to go here often, but I'm a big believer in keeping a customer happy. One day I placed a pickup order, and when I presented my "free soda" coupon at checkout, I was told that it was from an "OLD MENU" (even though it had no expiration date on it). So they refused to honor the coupon, and charged me a dollar for my soda can. Someone needs to teach them that it's harder to get a NEW customer than it is to hold onto a regular.
