I went here to meet a friend for a breakfast coffee...I really loved the vibe. I had coffee and my friend had tea. No food for us today however.It was very chill and calming. The workers were very friendly and that was very nice. I love the artwork, the sayings all around as well. There is free parking on the street-it's on J street - a few doors south of Lake Ave. They do have a large Little Free Library area with a ton of books and games. They also have free and quick wifi.I know they have music here (and other performances) which would be fun to go to. I know they have other locations and will keep that in mind for the future. We did sit outside on this beautiful day. So next time, I'll try something else here for sure! read more

After ordering my drinks and consuming them which we found to be just ok. I went in to dispose of the cups and found hate messages written on the piano. The piano is a center piece of the coffee shop and I was greatly offended. You should be ashamed of yourselves and we will not be back in your shop. I will spread the word. This coffeehouse is great! I LOVE IT and didn't know it existed until a few months ago when I met my friend there. It's now our meet-up spot, insert heart here. I love the vibe of this venue, thoroughly enjoy the coffee and appreciate the fact they have a small variety of eats. The ambiance is chill and I really like the decor. The place is spacious with lots of cozy seating to include comfy chairs, sofas and tables with chairs. WiFi is available and it's a great space to work remotely. There are gender neutral restrooms, plenty of merch for sale and one can opt for a mug or to go cup when ordering their beverage. Both almond and coconut milk are options and vegetarian and vegan food selections exist. A rewards program is available for customers and the hospitality is great. I'm a creature of habit so I've grown quite fond of my go to beverage which is the coconut mocha latte served hot and made with coconut milk. I've tried the quiche and a breakfast sandwich. I'd opt for the breakfast sandwich of the two. My friend enjoys the same beverage but iced. She had a slice of crumb cake that looked superb on our last visit. On Sundays, there's a church meet-up and on site parking spots are available and free up to 4 hours. Finally, check out the super cool neighboring vintage store if you're a fan like me. This was a neat little coffee shop on a side street in downtown lake worth. There's street parking outside. Inside, it's a very casual relaxed place with tables and banquettes, book shelves, and ample outlets for plugging in and charging. People were comfortable reading in small groups or working on their computers or just chatting. You order at the counter. There's a side bar for sugar, and creams, etc. to add as desired. We just stopped in for a quick coffee break. My girlfriend got a cappuccino (needed the caffeine jolt). It tasted very good, but was not very attractive on top in one of the designs that most barristas can now do. I think the gal was trying...but still learning. I was craving something cold, so I just got one of their brewed iced teas. It was nice that no one seemed rushed or pressured to leave before their time. The gal doing her school work looked liked she'd camped out. But the clientele was of all mixed ages. And the atmosphere relaxed and mellow. An eclectic coffee bar holds a special place in my heart that the chain ones can't fill. I was running low on steam thanks to my dog waking me up at 5 AM so I was looking for a caffeine boost to keep going. Leave it to Julie F. to find the best places. I requested a coffee house and she served up this delightful respite. As soon as I walked in the door I knew I was home. Book shelves lined the wall and there was a piano along the other wall. There was plenty of seating which some college students were taking advantage of to get work done. They even have a small stage for events. They had some bites on their menu but having just eaten I was just looking for some coffee. I ordered a cappuccino that was strong and thick with foam just the way I like it. I think they tried to make a design in the foam but better luck next time as they needed some more practice. While not as pretty as the coffee I had in Delray it got the job done and I was good for the rest of the night. A coffee and a fresh brewed iced tea were $8. If you are in the area this is a fun spot to try. Actually the whole street looks fun. There is also a jazz club, comic book store, vinyl record store, art studio, and book and wine cafe. This coffee shop has won our hearts recently. We came here once a couple of years ago and for various reasons didn't come back until about 3 weeks ago. We are now enjoying their coffee on the regular. Location: It is located on J street just a few doors away from Lake Ave. I have noticed there is usually plenty of parking available Atmosphere: When you walk through the doors the vibe is cozy and feels like a big hug. They took advantage of the first couple of months during shutdown and did some redecorating. It is absolutely adorable and whomever was in charge of that project rocked it. Very rustic and homey. I look forward to having a little more time to sit in on a coffee break. The sips and eats: This is definitely what made it our new regular coffee stop. We are big time fall lovers so we had the pumpkin chai and the pumpkin latte. I can't do dairy so I am used to just having almond milk poured in but, not them..they gave me a beautiful design on top even with my almond milk need. My hubby really enjoyed the pumpkin chai and will try the others soon as well. They do offer a nice menu of food which we haven't tried yet but, we have tried the pumpkin muffin...WOW! This is my favorite muffin I have found in general. Not too cakey and packed with flavor. They are baked fresh so, get there early or call if you are going there to try it. This is my go to daily, weekly coffee shop. It also doubles as my office! The baked goods come from Aioli and we all know that's amazing. The espresso and strong and delicious. I stumbled across this place during the Lake Worth Street Art Fest (a great free festival, by the way) to get some relief from the heat. When I walked in, I immediately felt this place was my jam. Yes, it does feel a little hipster, but in a totally good way. I ordered a Cafe Miel latte which the barista recommended. Mine was with almond milk, but the combo of flavors was perfect. It had some cinnamon and some nice spice and was fairly priced (around $5). They also have smoothie and food options that seemed interesting. I also really enjoyed the live music and decor. Common grounds is no different. The girls working made me a custom fusion iced tea of a few different varieties while also giving me recommendations on what might work best. Prices are fair, and when a business is run in such a harmonious way as this place, I Wouldn't even mind paying more, which I why we tipped well. This really is a quaint little retreat within downtown Lake Worth. The coffee is legit and handled well in its various forms they offer here. This visit I opted for the caramel macchiato-iced, which did stay icy throughout. Boyfriend ordered a cafe con leche, to which the barista has gotten a handle now on the little leaf design in the foam (others reviewed she hadn't quite gotten it yet). She commented, "so far that's what I can do." You can admire her determination and could tell she wants to add more designs to her repertoire. As others mentioned they do have a a little area with "coffee condiments" which I went to use by the time I got towards the bottom of my drink added a hint of agave and cinnamon to liven it back up a bit. Main reason why I keep coming back here is for the bagged little brownies - they are a true rich dark chocolate flavor, not too sweet and not too fudgy, but definitely craveable and so worth it! The area is just big enough for various types of seating and groupings if you are meeting here with people or can find a spot to be solo and work. They are very entwined with the community here and there is a little step up area to stage meetings, choral groups, etc. which I've seen occur during the evenings. It's just a tad bit pricey .... $6+ for a large coffee that is the size of a Grande at Starbucks .... the venti is only $5.48 at Starbucks and it's way larger then their "large" This is the unfortunate part of mom and pop places, they need to charge a high price to keep up with rent costs these days unfortunately the consumer notices and we don't want to pay that type of charge regularly! I hesitate to write a review for Common Grounds... for the simple fact that it is my go to spot to get some work done and I selfishly want to keep this place a secret. Very chill café with plenty of seating and outlets, relatively quiet, and serving up great coffee and baked goods. They keep the place at a comfortable temperature, not your usual arctic tundra Starbucks atmosphere, so if you forget a jacket it's ok. Parking isn't hard to find unless you come during peak hours, but even then you can probably find street parking nearby on lake ave. They have a raised seating area that looks like a stage so I assume there are nights with live music, although I haven't witnessed it firsthand. Went here for the first time on a Sunday. Got an iced coffee and breakfast sandwich. Both were really good! The store itself is so cute and cozy. Just went back today, a Wednesday, and it was a little busier. However, I still got my coffee faster than a nation wide chain I will not mention and it tastes way better. My kinda coffee shop, great tasty freshly ground beans and delicious banana bread and berry loaf Loved it so much. Sort of a coffee & library old school decor with an old white signed piano. I loved my latte only wish i asked for it 'hot' in temperature because both of ours were luke warm and we like it properly hot :) Some vegan options as well. Would I return?
