Another year, another great time at valas! I had a hard cider slushy which was yummy! Next time, I might choose the non alcoholic slushy that came with cold foam and an apple cider donut! I can never leave without at least a 6 pack of apple cider donut! They happened to be making fresh and hot donuts which were a special treat. I had a good time and enjoyed my food.

Good advice.

A good friend of ours had mentioned the charm of Vala's Pumpkin Patch; but we hadn't taken time to visit there. So, she gave us a gift card for admission to this awesome place. Such a nice gesture! We were surprised at the size, scope, and beauty of Vala's: Delicious foods. Live shows. Old-school and newer rides. Interesting exhibits. Intriguing displays. Lots of Antiques. Play areas. Walking trails. Country air. Pretty flowers. Mazes. Games. Music. Farm products. Fun Haunted houses. Nice people. Because we went on a Thursday, lines for the rides weren't too bad. We heard that it can be quite crowded on the weekends. It was a fun-filled day that connected us with past memories while creating many new experiences that we will cherish for years to come.

While there are certain things about Vala's I did like, I can't get past the cost. The food was just ok, but at a sit down restaurant price. The lemonade was a huge let down this year. Ended up throwing most of it away. The pork sliders were good and they have good novelty items like fudge and cider donuts. All the attractions had super long lines and they are not adequately lit for being open until 9pm. Felt unsafe stumbling uneven surfaces in the dark. Just can't see us coming back again.

My significant other and I spent the day at Vala's, and it really lived up to the hype! It's a full fall experience -- from pumpkins and flowers to cider flights, hearty comfort food, and plenty of sweet treats. The grounds are beautifully decorated, making it easy to get into the autumn spirit. This place is definitely geared toward families with kids -- there's so much for little ones to do, but there's also plenty for adults to enjoy. Between the cider, pretzels, BBQ, pie, and unique snacks like monster cookies and Nutella pop tarts, we never went hungry (or thirsty). That said, it is on the pricey side, so be prepared for food, drinks, and extras to add up quickly. Still, for a once-a-season outing, it feels worth it for the memories, photos, and atmosphere. Overall: A fun and festive spot for all ages, especially if you want the full fall pumpkin patch experience!

Another great opening of the fall season with Vala's! I am continually impressed in all that they are adding to make this place truly magical. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Some of our favorite attractions/activities are the roller coaster, train, motorized cars, Nick and Morty small train, and of course going to get fresh apple cider donuts! I did purchase a season pass during their sale for all three of the people in our household. I was a little bummed to see that it went from $75 to $85 this year but I definitely understand why with all of the great additions they continuously are making. My one hang-up with Vala's is their lacking of cleaning when it comes to some of the walk-through/ride-through attractions. So many areas are just caked in dust. It's pretty gross. Some areas that definitely need some love in that regard this year are the story book area, mine, and the saloon on the train ride. New and fun is great, but please pay some mind to the classics! They need to send some people out in suits and respirators with some leaf blowers! I am so thankful that we have this amazing place in our community. It's so fun to be able to bring my daughter to the same place I enjoyed going to while growing up.

Valas seems to be a classic fall activity for everyone in the Omaha + surrounding areas. It is probably the largest pumpkin patch with the most attractions. I love being able to spend the whole day here and not run out of things to do. The prices are expensive and you do have to purchase some activities as well. My favorite things are the new rollercoaster, the kettle corn, and all the photo ops! Literally there is one on every corner. I also appreciate there are things for all ages here. Tip is to either go on a week day or early on the weekends!

I have once again been blown away. I feel like I discover something new every time I visit this place. I've been going here a little over a year with a season pass going regularly and I had no idea they had funnel cakes!! They have so many flavors and options available I was blown away. I 100% recommend sharing with a few friends. My sister and I split the cookies and cream funnel cake (highly suggest trying it) and there was so much!!!! The workers were so kind and helpful and made sure we got out money's worth. I appreciate the high quality of food they send out too! I haven't had a single food item here that I didn't think looked delicious!! It does happen to be a bit spendy, however I think the workers understand that and try to give you the most bang for your buck as they can.

This year the activities don't really outweigh the impressive cost of food. Disappointed in the price of food, even with the annual pass it's hard to merit paying this much for food. We shared everything and still spent about $30 on lunch. Would love to see more benefits other than "rides" with long lines that I don't need to go on more than once.

A wonderful experience and great destination for the family. Complimentary parking is available, although unpacked so drop carriages and folks that need a smooth walking surface off at the front ticket area. Tickets are a little pricey, but it includes access to all of the shows, rides, and play areas. Seasonal tickets are available for folks that plan to come back more than once. Note that this operation is only open in the fall. Highly recommend trying to come out during the week as it was very busy midweek, in the afternoon, and I can't even imagine what the crowds would be like on the weekends. Many places to stop and grab snacks, drinks, even adult beverages, but pricing is a little steep. Convenience store with plenty of choices available on the way out as well addition to a pumpkin weigh in station. Personnel are super friendly and eager to assist with any questions. We really enjoyed the ride out to the pumpkin patch and there was just enough time to get what we needed. I highly recommend this as a seasonal type of visit. Do be prepared for crowds during peak hours and watch out for some of the pricing on the add-ons that can tally up quickly.

Over the years living here in Nebraska I've finally found it in myself to embrace more of what Nebraska offers. I've heard of Vala's throughout the years and even attended through my work which had a campfire set up and food for us. It wasn't until recently that I fully understood the meaning this place has to many people who have seen it grow from its humble family roots. My boyfriend took me here last year and I was able to see it through his eyes and listen to how he would come here as a young boy. It gave me a whole different perspective of what Vala's is and what they offer. Coming from an island in the Pacific we didn't have anything like this. Granted, summer was the most prominent season followed by rain; Seasons I would choose over frigid winters in a heart beat, BUT, I do enjoy the changing leaf colors and silence of snow on the ground. Each time I have visited since my first time with Dillon I have walked around thinking about the time, effort, and work it takes to create something like this. Every little detail reminds me of the attention to detail Walt Disney gave to each part of his park and Roy Disney gave to Disney World. I learned later that Vala's was influenced by Disney and their family loves Disney. It makes sense. They make sure everything is clean, there's no rubbish on the ground, I see staff actively picking up rubbish, helping people throughout the park. When we went on the hayrack ride at sunset I appreciated the vastness of their farm. The ride kept going until we reached the pumpkin patch with the orange pumpkins. We eagerly jumped out and ran out to the field to find our perfect pumpkins to carve for Halloween. Walking around to where the apple orchards are and the Cider mill is I walked with respect for this family who created something special for families. When I looked at the chairs in the barns that go with the aesthetic and don't run cheap; I can see why the price of tickets can seem steep. And then, I do see how they are trying to balance the extremely fine line between offering tickets at affordable prices and ensuring they can pay the staff they hire during the open season as well as when they are taking care of the rest of the farm. The gas for the tractors, the wages for the staff, the fertilizer for the pumpkins, apples, everything else around the farm. During the summer they offer their season passes at a 25% discount, an offer I highly anticipated so we could go when we wanted and not feel like we had to spend the whole day there. They also offer weekday season passes that are cheaper, weekday daily tickets are discounted, and they opened three days after Halloween for the first time and their tickets were at a discount then too! There is nothing like this anywhere else I've been and takes the season of fall celebrating to a whole new level. I know we will keep coming back because the memories created here are warm, special, and will last a lifetime. I never really cared for fall before because it came right before winter, but now fall means something different. It means spending time with family, watching leaves change and eating warm pies, hot apple cider, and sharing this transformation with someone you love.

A great locally owned pumpkin patch with numerous attractions! Our youngest son loves the Egg Barn, where there are tons of foam balls that the kids can use in various compressed air areas. Our middle son loves the obstacle course down by the corn maze. Our oldest stays in the sports area where you can try to make shots through holes or see how fast you can throw with a radar gun. I do recommend if you plan on going a lot waiting for the season pass sale. We get the full week but they do a weekday pass that is cheaper.

What Fall would be complete without at least one Family Valas Trip? Treats Galore. Lots of walking and activity. Too many to name...but this places gets better each year! Chili Bread Bowl is incredible, despite the beans.

I go to Vala's once a year. First things first, yes, it's pricey. We go Monday-Thursday to save a little money. I've noticed the upgrades they've done and not just the ride updates. The paint and attraction updates to the spooky house and the pirate maze are great. There's so much to do we usually spend the entire day there. The food is amazing! We have favorites like the nachos from the smokehouse (pictured) and the turkey legs of course! The ONLY thing I wish would be better is the area by the roller coaster/spinny ride. The closest food spot is the diary barn and that's always packed. They only have a lemonade stand and the alcohol stand. A regular drink stand with some snacks would be nice. I know there's nothing they can do about the lines so not worth complaining about it. I kinda would like an indoor playground or just an area I guess for toddlers that's supervised so no older kids get in (kinda like the pillows).

We had 3 adults wanting to visit Vala's, but for $126 for the three of us we passed. We'll go to our local farmer's market.

We did spend nearly four hours here last Saturday despite it being a bit chilly. I will say they finally have a lot more to do, and I appreciate the updates they've made to make it more of a day trip than a quick trip. We rode all the rides, slid the slides, and hit both train/hayracks. We spent our lunch in the food barn and got some discount hoodies and tops in the market. We also got 2 over prices pumpkins but when in rome. You can't leave SBP without their very tart apple cider donuts. so good! We'll continue to come back, even if it's a a pricey day.

I don't know where to even begin other than Nelson Produce Farm is truly a Nebraska spring staple…read moreand that if you have the opportunity to attend the Tulip Festival, you need to take it. The admission price is worth it for how many attractions there are here, and there is truly something for every age! Upon entering the farm, you are greeted with tons of cute decorations, garland, and photo ops, which are super fun and make the experience all-encompassing. I also thought they did a great job with signage since I was on the hunt for the tulips! There were two main sections for tulips: U-Pick, and for viewing only. Along my way to the decorative tulip fields, I was greeted by the cutest llamas and cows, and there were tons of adorable farm themed toys and set-ups, which would make this a great place to bring your family. The tulip fields alone were worth this visit. They were absolutely magnificent and there was such a gorgeous variety. Even with difficult weather, they still looked pristine and it didn't even feel like I was in Nebraska anymore! I used to live along the border of Germany/the Netherlands (where tulips are famed to grow) and I have seen many tulip attractions throughout my life, and Nelsons was still one of the best and most enjoyable experiences. I also chose to do U-Pick, which I regretted only because of the freezing weather, high winds, and my choice to wear a sundress, none of which is Nelsons fault. If the weather had been better this would be such a fun experience, and I still enjoyed browsing for the prettiest flowers. After picking a small bouquet, I made my way to the Farm Market, which was a huge shop full of everything from local products, foods, and goods, to Tulip Festival merch and fun mementos. There was also a small cafe where I got an iced coffee and took a moment to relax and enjoy the moment. I also ended up buying a small Schleich chicken figurine as a souvenir, and everyone who worked at Nelsons was incredibly sweet and friendly. I will absolutely be returning in the future and recommending this experience to everyone I know!

That kind of follow-through truly shows they care about their customers and are willing to improve, which I respect. The location is beautiful and the flowers are absolutely worth seeing. I do still feel the pricing is a bit high, but overall I appreciate the effort to correct things and improve the experience for future visitors.
