I like that they collect trash twice a day, you just need to put trash out next to your site number. They light up the site number so it was very easy to find out site when we got back in the dark. No alcohol campground so in general, it isn't noisy or loud, just people enjoy their time. Easy in and out as one way around campground. Has lots of things to do for little kid, they have rotating weekly schedule. My toddler loves the playground & big sandbox. We ate some ice cream too as a night treat. I definitely want to be back next year. Just one small thing to keep in mind: as a T mobile user, all of us don't have any cell service. The only place they have wifi is the Cove, so we took turn to spend a short time there to use wifi to keep in touch with family at home. We are okay with no wifi but it is a bit difficult with no cell service.

I am white so I had no issues but my in-laws are not and we're harassed by security. The cabins are nice looking but swept up old dog hair and found old dog treats under the couch. Otherwise I would suggest looking elsewhere.

(she waited a YEAR to post this review, mind you) - because Yelp refuses to remove it, or at the least, put it in chronological order. If you check the reviews on the Silver Hills FB page, Trip Advisor, etc., you'll see that it's a clean, family-friendly park with large grassy sites that have real appeal to campers in this concrete-and-sand environment. There is overflow parking for your dune vehicles, the staff is caring and attentive and we make EVERY effort to see that traffic is maintained at 5MPH (there are always those campers who ignore the signs and rules). Quiet time begins at 11 PM, but no one will come around and douse your fire and tell you to go inside (as they do in some other local parks). This park is being expanded, and many improvements have been made already to the existing space. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.

The day to day lots lack grass somewhat as we go late in the year after all the business of tent and trailers covering the lots and a lot of oak trees but we're camping. Part of the experience. Campsites are irregularly sized, spaced and oriented and…read moresince it's almost all bare dirt, it's very difficult to identify where each begins and ends, resulting in people setting up and parking kinda wherever they want. Power poles are shared with four sites almost requiring that you have at least 50' of power cord to reach the one for your site. We had to switch sites twice before we got one that our standard 25' cord would reach. Only two dump drains and 2 bathhouses for 205 sites - not enough. Many sites with multiple vehicles, ORVs, boats, etc. so it's just extremely busy. Definitely not worth the nearly $62 a night it cost (includes $12 daily use fee, but not the $8 reservation fee) for electric only hookup. We won't stay here again.

A lot of companies would have just pocketed that money. The delivery was on time and accommodated a last minute site change (a different site within the campground).
