The day before the wedding, she met with us at our venue, Olowalu Plantation House, to go over everything one last time. On the wedding day, she was there throughout the entire event making sure everything ran smoothly and handling all the details behind the scenes. It was really nice being able to enjoy the day knowing she had everything under control. She did an excellent job, and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner in Maui. But more importantly, it's during the difficult times that you see someone's true quality! It was such a stressful time for us, having to deal with the unknown, wanted to pick a new date but really had no clue as to what's going to happen next... We actually changed our dates a couple of times back in 2020. Lorrie was always so patient, encouraging, so supportive while being such a professional. She went above and beyond to help out with things that I think she didn't even need to, just to make sure we have the best experience possible. Needless to say, I highly recommend Maui's Angels!

Maui's Angels was our top choice, without any regrets at all. Their personality, style and flair were things we (the wifey) were aiming for and we wouldn't have done it any other way. We loved working with our planner Ali, who basically is the quarterback of the whole operation! The process from start to finish was incredibly detailed, organized and coordinated. Everything was communicated via phone calls and emails (Ali would stay late [so sorry!] to accommodate the time zone difference and our busy work schedules): timelines, start and due dates, vendor selections, reminders, etc. Looking back I think the process was made so simple with the least amount stress as possible, with her passion and dedication. Overall the process was made fun and enjoyable which we loved. No wedding details were left unaccounted for from the planning process (even things like recommendations for suit selection for my guys spread out between NY, Cleveland, Austin) to coordinating ceremony and reception times with the sunset. Of course being a typical guy I underestimated the amount of details that could go into designing flower arrangements, table linens etc. When you work with MA, you get to work with their recommended list of reputable vendors who all come together in the end as a great team. This was our first time going to Maui as well and coordinating our 65 guests was difficult as expected, but Ali was always available to answer any logistics questions we had, no matter how insignificant or naive they sounded. I joked with wifey multiple times, I had so much trust in them that I could've just presented them pictures of what we wanted, left the layout process up to them and showed up the day of to be surprised at the ceremony/reception. Thank you Ali and Maui's Angels for all your hard work in making our vision come true on our special day! L & I

Our wedding coordinator, Marni, made everything so simple. We decided upon the Beach Deluxe package which allowed us to customize our wedding to what we had envisioned. We were able to choose our location, officiate, flowers, and music. Marni assisted me with choosing a company for hair and makeup, getting our marriage license, making dinner reservations, and ordering our wedding cake all via email/phone. Marni met with us the day before our wedding to show us our location and to review the plan for the next day. On the day of our wedding, she brought my bouquet to our hotel room and then promptly left to help my husband get ready for our first look. She even brought flower petals for us to throw in the air, which made for the perfect photo op with our family and friends. You have to put a lot of trust into someone you've never met before to make your wedding day what you envisioned. Marni and the planners at Intimate Weddings Maui accomplished all of this and more. Our wedding day was perfect and I could not be more grateful to them for everything they did.

I stand by my decision today as Vickie planned such a wonderful wedding for us and 40 of our closest family and friends. Vickie and her husband, Rick, work with amazing vendors. The hair/makeup artist, Beth, did gorgeous work for my sister (Maid of Honor) and I. Ernest (officiant) performed a beautiful ceremony and the photographer, Jessica and her assistant were very creative and delightful to work with. Vickie recommended Cake Fanatics to create our cupcake tower for the reception and they did such a great job, our guests are still talking about how those were the best cupcakes they've ever had. Our on-site beach coordinator, Chris, was so friendly and made me feel comfortable and at ease despite us not having a rehearsal. Rick booked three different chartered vehicles to transport all our guests from different resorts to the separate ceremony and reception locations and it worked perfectly. The vehicles were new, clean and the drivers were on time and very professional. Planning a wedding is no easy task, let alone planning a destination wedding in a destination you've never been to. Vickie made everything easier from patiently answering hundreds of my questions to expertly recommending locations and timing and keeping track of all the little details. I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Erica, Emily and Erica's entire team. A bride hires a…read morewedding planner to make the planning process easier and Erica certainly did that. But to truly enjoy the process of planning a wedding is almost unheard of. When talking with family and friends and the inevitable question comes up of "How is wedding planning going?", my response was always how everything was going great and how much I truly loved my wedding planner and her team. And every single time I said this, people would respond with how they've never heard of someone loving their planner or enjoying the process as much as I did. I found Erica almost a year before our original wedding date, as my fiancé and I were parting ways with our previous wedding planner we hired on the islands. I will never forget our first phone call as I was in tears explaining our current situation of being planner-less and being even more stressed than before. Erica's demeaner was instantly calming and little did I know, this would be a common theme throughout our wedding planning process managing the ups and downs of Covid. Erica was constantly in the know about the restrictions on the island and was coming up with solutions every time a new problem was presented. I think I cried on the phone with her more than some of my own girlfriends but every time I was panicked about the restrictions on the island haltering my wedding day, she would tell me to not go down a rabbit hole (LOL, guilty as charged) and that I could contact her whenever I was feeling uneasy. Every single vendor we worked with, and I mean every single one, from the hotel staff, to the florist, to the furniture vendors, would tell me how Erica is the best and how much they all respected her. She had a way of always coming up with exactly what I wanted while treating every vendor of mine with respect - you can tell that goes a long way with people on the island. Everyone seems to know everyone and word definitely gets around if someone (a planner, vendor, etc) is generally unpleasant to work with. I hadn't heard a single negative thing about Erica or her team - always about how nice she is and how she is the best. A few months before the wedding, we knew we needed to hire Erica and her team for my welcome party and rehearsal dinner and again, best decision ever. I was able to relax a lot more, my husband was happy that I was less stressed, and my parents felt confident knowing Erica had every.single.detail handled so we could all enjoy ourselves with our family and friends. Covid restrictions seemed to be changing weekly and I could barely keep up with the changes but Erica and her team were always one step ahead. After having 3 different wedding dates, the day was finally here! My wedding day (and week!) was the most amazing time of my husband and I's life. It was better than we even imagined. I was so relaxed and elated. I didn't hear of a *single* mishap or problem (not that I was expecting to) but sometimes things are out of your control and you just have to roll with it. But nope, not a single issue. I made a point of asking friends and family how everything was on their end (since I was too busy on cloud 9) and they had nothing but rave reviews. Erica even had one of the gals on her team (I forgot her name, ahh!) who was a stylist and was there to help myself and my bridesmaids with any wardrobe mishaps. You would be surprised at how many of my girls needed a last minute stitch here or there, even after getting their dresses altered beforehand by a seamstress. My dream of having an Amalfi coast themed wedding as an ode to our Italian roots finally came true! From our hand painted clay tiles as name cards, to the giant lemon tree in the middle of our beautiful circular bar (shoutout to Mandy Grace Designs - truly brilliant), the woven lanterns and string lights hanging over our reception, and last but not least, our traditional Italian wedding cake - millefoglie! I cannot express how important it is to have a wedding planner on the islands, especially if you are planning from the mainland. But more so, it's important to make sure you enjoy the process before your big day and have every ounce of confidence in your planner and her team that everything will be perfect. And it was perfect, and beautiful, and I wish I could go back every day and relive it. Our friends and family tell us every day how we wish we were all back on the islands together celebrating our wedding because it was just THAT amazing. We couldn't have done it without Erica and her team. She saved me a lot of tears and stress and just for that reason alone, I'd hire her over and over again. But I truly felt like I came away from this wedding with a new friend in Erica. She made my wedding day feel like a dream and for that, I will forever be thankful.

She truly brought together the best of the best to make our day utter perfection. From being so open and inspired by our specific wedding vision to being detail oriented and flexible from day 1, Erica clearly loves her job and excels at it. We had a very tight timeline because of the way we wanted our day to go, and inevitably, certain things went over time or had to be shifted around. What I appreciated so much about Erica is that she absorbed all the stress and chaos, and presented me with choices that made sense without disturbing the flow and energy of the wedding. Erica made us feel so taken care of and she really wanted us to be happy - that much was very clear. I loved every second working with her, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

During numerous email discussions, Kara made excuses for every issue we raised and essentially blamed us for the shortcomings of our wedding planner. Because of that, I cannot recommend Aloha Wedding Planning Services. Although Veronica, our planner, was lovely and personable, the service we received on our wedding day did not reflect a 5-star experience. Given that we paid $4,000, I expected much higher quality.
