There are certain medications my doctor has me on because of my cancer diagnosis. One of which my insurance decided not to pay for anymore and wanted a different Rx. My doctor does not approve of the alternative because it's not good for me. Leave it to my amazing doctor to arrange with this pharmacy to not only have the original Rx, but have the insurance approve it. And the icing on the top, Vail Ranch Pharmacy delivered it to my house! So, basically I received a text from the pharmacy that a script had been sent by my doctor. This small business is so much easier to deal with and gives personalized, compassionate service. All the employees are so nice, understanding and helpful that they ease the stress and difficulty for people with medical conditions having to deal with insurance complications. It was a Sunday afternoon when I called multiple local CVS stores to no avail; some didn't care and some said they would "try" to order it and for me to call back. Went to this pharmacy to support a small business and they had the prescription i needed in stock. It's been a nightmare with them. They never let you know when prescription is available for pick up. Everything is first come first serve so even if they have it in stock and call to get it filled if you can't show up within the hour it more than likely will be gone. Was asked personal questions about why I needed the prescription and denied me of getting it even though my insurance covered it. Got a call from them today and when i answered they were talking about me before saying anything. Completely unprofessional and will be transferring my medication immediately. read more

My prescriptions are often filled in the same visit within 10 minutes when I bring them in person! When I call to check on medicines the doctor has sent, they are fast to answer the phone and my questions. Also, the delivery service is a life-saver and it is free! The drivers always do a great job at calling ahead of time as well. Vail Ranch is miles above CVS - there rarely is a wait and they have their own drive-through. My daughter has a few ongoing health issues and one of her new drs suggested switching her prescriptions from a big chain over to Vail Ranch Pharmacy. I was hesitant at first, but finally agreed after yet another mistake by the big chain. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! Every month I get a knock on my door and there are her meds. She recently had a new health issue and was prescribed some additional temporary medication. The pharmacist went over the new medication and all possible interactions with her existing medications. I'm switching pharmacies immediatly!!!! I've been using this pharmacy for years and they have gone downhill for awhile now. Can't seem to get my scripts on time anymore every month they are late. This month they were due to me on Dec 30th and because of the New Years holidays I should have received them on Fri the 29th... I called and confirmed they were being delivered on Fri afternoon....well I waited and it never came on Fri it actually didn't come till Tues the 2nd! So I was out of my medication 3 days!!! Is this right? Noooo They must have sat on the delivery truck all that time because when I called on Tuesday I was told they were on the delivery truck so that must mean they were on the delivery truck all this holiday weekend. Very irresponsible to leave medications in a truck that could be robbed of everything on it! Stupid people they don't realize that its dangerous to leave medications on a delivery truck for 3 days when patients needed them!!! I'm switching pharmacies!!! read more

I have lived in Temecula for 15 years. Prior to using Vail Ranch Pharmacy I went to a big chain store like everyone else because we had to. I can't believe the difference between Vail Ranch Pharmacy and a chain store pharmacy. First of all being a mom, it has been so helpful to have a pharmacist that I can actually talk to and that has time for me. Next, they offer free delivery anywhere in California. My mom lives in Murrieta, so I have her medications all set up for delivery so she doesn't have to drive. Lastly, I am amazed by the customer service. That is why I LOVE Yelp, I couldn't wait to leave a review, customer service is everything to me and they are amazing at Vail Ranch Pharmacy. I will never shop at chains again! Vail Ranch is such a nice change from the chains: it's no fun being told every prescription will take "20 minutes" (and takes more like 30 minutes-- all a ruse to spend money in the rest of the pharmacy I think) and having pharmacists who act rushed if you ask a question, staff that won't help if a prescription needs help to go through, and so on. At Vail Ranch Pharmacy you will receive a full customer experience based on YOUR needs not the needs of some huge corporation. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and cares for you in a personal way. I like their service so much my doctor actually referred them to me because Rite-Aid was declining insurance coverage on some of my medications, Vail Ranch Pharmacy knew how to do the paperwork for my insurance where they were able to get my prescription covered. Okay...the last couple times I've been in there have been surprisingly pleasant. They were actually friendly and attentive.

My doctor gave me a prescription and "suggested" that I go to Vail Ranch instead of my usual big chain pharmacy. So I took my prescription there. They ran it through my insurance and it denied, saying to use OTC. They told me to call my insurance. Personally I feel they should have made that call. I had forgotten my cell phone at home, so had to go home to take care of it. They told me that all they had to do was re-run it. This started a 3 month circle of calls between my doctor, the pharmacy, and my insurance. Finally the insurance called and told them how to run it. I finally got around to calling them about getting it filled, and once again they told me it denied. In the end my insurance called them Again, and pushed through a supply. Then I was told that they didn't have it in stock and I would have to go the next day. When I did, and finally got my hands on the prescription, no one asked me a single question. No "is this the first time you are using this" (which it is), no "do you have any questions about the product" , nothing. I guess I am just used to Ralphs. They always ask me those questions, and def have me speak to a pharmacist if it is a new prescription. Plus, I didn't see one person in there smile or be friendly. read more

After years of getting my prescriptions filled by chains, it has been refreshing to see a return to true customer service at Vail Ranch. Not only does this place provide free delivery, but when presenting with a new prescription it was filled in less than 10 minutes! I went out of town once, and they even overnight mailed my prescription to me... Free of charge! The pharmacist, Basil, was helpful with selecting OTC medications, and answered all my questions about my plethora of medications. The rest of the staff were friendly, helpful, and dedicated to helping me get my refills on time and letting me know in advance if there were delays of any kind. I was in Temecula for the weekend and needed to pick-up a prescription. My doctor told me to go to Vail Ranch and he called it in there. The prescription was ready when I got there (I can't say that for the pharmacies I used to go to [Rite-Aid and CVS]).
