At first a as a frequent visitor and now as a part time resident of Vail Valley. Last week we stopped in and I bought a pair of hiking boots and my wife picked up a few things. Without looking closely at them except for size we walked out. Once home the $80.00 sweater had a spot on it. (Inexpensive item but it was cute). When we tried to return it exchange the young salesman with a beard said my wife had worn it even though it had the tag still on it. He clearly stated she was a liar and nothing could be done. We emailed the owners Mike and Mary who know my wife by sight when they see her. No response so far. You decide if you want to shop at a store where the young employees are so poorly trained that they insult their customers. After many years and thousands of dollars, we will shop at home or on line for the things that we use to go out of our way to support local business. We will never set foot in this store again. So I wandered the store, and had my eyes open by some of the merchandise that they carry: namely, those helmets and goggles that were priced for millionaires and billionaires (see photos). I took her 3 fur coats and she just decided the price and never consulted with me. When queried she told me, "Oh, I sold those." Wait, what? I would also try to make appointments to drop off merchandise and she would never show up on time and sometimes, if ever. Doors were locked. I made an appointment to drop off and was told to come at 10:30 after I suggested 10:00, as I was going to be in the area and didn't want to drive back and forth to Vail. I arrived exactly at 10:30. The doors were locked, and no lights were on, even though they were supposed to have opened at 10:00. A few people came and left. I waited and a little after 10:35 somebody (with an attitude) finally shows up. I only had to exchange a few sentences with her to know that I would rather give away my designer shoes and clothing than do business there. If you have items there on consignment, you should go pick them up because this place is on the verge of closing down.
