I was led to believe that I would be working for a nationally known and accredited business but this was not the case. On my very first day I was thrown into the deep end with customer claims that had been neglected for weeks some had not even been touched in months, with no contact made in any way to ensure their claims were in fact acknowledged and being worked on. I was to contact every customer to advise of who I was and to provide them with my contact information. Once those flood gates were opened, it was an absolute nightmare. I had customers with full coverage insurance that they pay ALLOT of money for and Frank and his wife/partner Chong go out of their way to make any issue that arises falls to another party. Frank is the WORST person to work for, always with-holding driver/helper pay for towing, dot inspection fees and damages encored during a move. Once I witnessed a long haul driver that returned from a 14 day haul open his paycheck and after all of the charge-backs he only received a 47.00 paycheck. There is no follow through!!! There was an umbrella stand with umbrellas and canes that needed to be shipped to a customer, it was already there when I started and after a request for packing and shipping on a daily bases FOR 6 WEEKS!!! It was still sitting their next to his office when I resigned. The kick in the teeth was the fact that he refused to allow me access to my last paycheck on my regular pay date and told me that I was not allowed back in the office or on the property. I have since filed a claim for process with the Department of Labor because I still have not been given/mailed or allowed access to my last paycheck from this HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company. The delivery was delayed twice and I later found out that during that period my belongings were unloaded into a warehouse. Upon arrival at my house in NY I saw that none of the mattresses had been wrapped or covered, none of the bed frames had been wrapped or covered and they all arrived extremely dirty covered in sud. Several furniture pieces were damaged (cabinet drawers had never been emptied putting too much load on the slide-out mechanisms), shelves had been damaged literally from brute force (punctures or in case of my large, custom made TV shelf from Germany, brute force by stacking multiple heavy boxes/items on it. Several pieces never arrived like my trailer hitch, my water fountain (which they actually admitted that it was left in their warehouse, however 18 months later I still have not received it) and some electronic items (3 sonos speakers, an Apple Airport Extreme, remote controls), Original Hong Kong Chinese porcelain pieces were damaged because they were simply not wrapped properly, an art piece had been "thrown" into the TV box together with a transformer and by pure luck "only" the art piece got damaged Their claim offer was pathetic. Denial of several pieces and the couple of pieces they actually did offer reimbursement was a fraction of the value. Although I had Full Replacement Value Protection. Not sure how this fits together. Water fountain has still not been delivered after 18 months, despite their admission for having it in their storage. Guess I need to file a theft charge....

I asked for an estimate and in less than 5 hours they had already sent me an estimate and possible time slots to decide when was convenient for me to have them clean my garage. I called several companies, but DDJR offered me the best price; later on, while they were engaged in the work, I realized they knew what they were doing. They came two days after I contacted them; about 8am they were at my door asking if they were able to start. By 1pm they had removed all the junk, cleaned the garage floor and walls, loaded the junk in their truck, and I was ready to say goodbye forever to my junk. Matias, the owner, is a courteous, friendly yet professional guy that took his job seriously; the guy working with him followed his direction so there was no idle time for which I was charged. Several times I showed my face by the garage to find out how things were going and while Matias explained to me how the decloaking process was going, the other guy kept working. They brought the necessary equipment and utilized the time effectively. Additionally, I got a really good price. I certainly will not hesitate to hire them again or to recommend them to family, friends and others.

There were NO STAIRS, NO DIFFICULT ACCESS, and DOUBLE DOORS providing an easy path into the house. I even paid an additional $350 for extra coverage to protect myself in case something went wrong. And what happened? Through what appeared to be a complete lack of communication, coordination, and basic competence, these movers DROPPED MY TABLE ON MY STONE FLOOR AND SHATTERED IT. Chunks of expensive marble went flying everywhere. We were absolutely horrified. The scene that followed was just as appalling. One mover yelled at the other, while the mover who dropped the table walked away and sat in the truck. The entire experience was shocking and utterly unprofessional. Afterward, I received a call from the company apologizing and assuring me that they would take care of everything and that I should not worry. I trusted those assurances, completed the claims process, and waited 30 days. Their resolution? An offer of $450 for a table that cost $9,425. Let that sink in. A brand-new, nearly $10,000 marble table was destroyed during an incredibly straightforward move from my garage into my home, and after paying an additional $350 for coverage, I was offered a mere $450!!! I have not been refunded the money I paid for the "move" either. What exactly was that extra coverage supposed to protect me from? I am a licensed Realtor in three states, and I have dealt with countless transactions involving valuable property. I have never witnessed such a shocking combination of carelessness, poor execution, and disappointing claims handling. Moving a heavy, fragile marble table requires communication, coordination, and basic precautions. If a moving crew cannot safely transport a table through double doors with no stairs involved, how can anyone trust them to handle an entire household of valuable belongings? The company's initial apology and assurances meant very little when the final offer was so grossly inadequate compared with the loss I suffered. Destroying a customer's property is bad enough. Leaving that customer to absorb the overwhelming majority of the financial loss after paying extra for coverage makes the experience even more infuriating. My advice is simple: If you value your belongings, think very carefully before hiring this company. My experience was an absolute nightmare, and I would never trust them with my property again. They should rename the company WE'RE ALL THUMBS!!
